Description

The vision of this podcast is to engage in conversations based on a variety of topics with a open mind and unlimited amount of different perspectives. The goal is to expand on perspectives and offer value within our experiences that can benefit anyone in a positive less harming way. We are not here to push any narrative or force our way of thought into others but open up different ideas within our own self revelations that has helped us so far. We are continuously learning and constantly testing our ideas as we are not married to any of our thoughts or beliefs.

Marriage rates Over the last 50 years, the marriage rate in the U.S. has dropped by nearly 60%. https://www.bgsu.edu/content/dam/BGSU... The single best predictor of divorce/failed relationships is when one or both partners show contempt ( in other words disrespect ) in the relationship. Does your partner's communication lift you up or bring you down. An example is Communicating in negative judgment, criticism, or sarcasm toward the person's worth as an individual. Getting personal by attacking the person. Being tough on the person, soft on the issue ( behavior/mistake ). An effective communicator would separate the person from the issue & be soft on the person & firm on the issue. Source: https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/... Given this, kids of single parents are more likely to experience the consequences of growing up poor. Children in poverty are more likely to have physical, mental and behavioral health problems, disrupted brain development, shorter educational trajectories, contact with the child welfare and justice systems, employment challenges in adulthood and more. https://www.aecf.org/blog/child-well-... What has made it difficult for relationships is… Why 60 years of feminism has not made women any happier. The American Family Survey recently asked: “All things considered, has feminism benefited American families?” Only a little more than half (58.6%) of respondents said yes. Interestingly, though, the people who said yes also tend to be among the least happy and fulfilled. In survey after survey, it turns out that people who espouse a secular worldview, people who identify as liberals, and people who never attend religious services report the lowest levels of personal satisfaction, but they also report the highest levels of support for feminist ideals. Indeed, as feminism’s influence has grown over the past half-century, women have become less happy. https://nypost.com/2022/10/29/why-60-...
