A Priest Forever

Welcome back to A Priest Forever! This week we are excited to share the very exciting news of our welcoming of six new priests to the diocese of Bridgeport. We are joined by Fr Galbert and Fr La Fleur two of newly ordained priests who share their story of their journey to priesthood.

Join us this week for a special episode joined by Fr. Reggie Norman. Father Norman was named as the Diocese of Bridgeport’s episcopal vicar for Black Catholics under then-Bishop William E. Lori, and has served in that role since the early 2000s. He shares his story and some deep-seated wisdom on the priesthood.

Thank you for joining us for this week's episode of A Priest Forever! This week we are joined by Fr. Eric Silva. Fr. Eric was born in Long Island, NY but his family moved when he was four years old to Trumbull where he grew up going to public elementary and middle school before attending St Joseph High School. The beauty and the wonder of the Catholic faith was introduced to Fr. Silva during his high school years and it was there that the seeds of his vocation to the priesthood were planted. After graduating from St Joe’s in 2008, Fr. Silva attended Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH to study psychology. It was while he was away at college that he encountered the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in a much deeper and lasting way as well as a community of Benedictine priests and brothers living out holiness in a way that was very attractive.
