Professors Malu and Katie welcome an exceptionally boring and very obnoxious guest who won't stop farting: their producer Gabe Mara of the Slow Readers podcast! Gabe swags in like he owns the place, demanding your two intrepid instructors break down two film about con artists, fast talkers, ill-gained dollars, and the family we choose versus the family we have. That's right, Katie and Malu discuss the most obvious double feature in history: Peter Bogdanovich's Paper Moon (1973) [but we really know it's Polly Platt's film] and Ron Howard's Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) [though it was also sort of Lord and Miller's].
Katie shatters the ice with some heavy heavy Emilia Clarke talk and Gabe brings the heat with some Gatekeeper action.
