It gives the contractors peace of mind knowing the money is all there when doing the job, and it also provides security for the customer where if the contractor doesn't follow through then the customer doesn't have to release the money to the contractor. It's a win-win.

Leading up to the Boston Marathon that takes place each year on Patriots Day, just a few days away from now, guest Mick Garrison and I talk about the Boston Marathon and what it means to each of us personally, and to our running careers. In 2016, just weeks before self-surrendering to prison, Mick and I ran the Boston Marathon together. During this dark time in my life the NXT AID STN Mentality was born as I used it to get me through those torturous months between pleading and prison (6 months). In 2018, my final aid station in prison was watching the Boston Marathon - just two days before being released back home to my family. The Boston Marathon will always have a special place in my heart.
Today we talk with the founder of SolarCon, Jake Hess, about the event he's hosting, the state of the solar industry, as well as digging into the trials that both of us have gone through in life. The NXT AID STN Podcast is about how to use the Next Aid Station Mentality to overcome life's challenges. Whether it's tough times in your life due to marital or relationship stress, substance abuse, or anything else this mentality will help you get through life one aid station at a time. This mentality stems from ultra marathons where each aid station is a respite where you can sit down, fuel up, and reset for the next 5-7 miles before you get to the next aid station. This mentality specifically has helped my family and I get through tough times especially when I went to federal prison in Colorado. The way that I could efficiently serve my time was by creating aid stations along the way that I just had to get to. We hope this podcast helps all of you listening with whatever you may be struggling with.
