Description
The mission of the Cyber Security Coalition is to bolster Belgium’s cyber security resilience by building a strong cyber security ecosystem. We do so by bringing together the skills and expertise of the academic world, the private sector and public authorities on a trust-based platform aimed at fostering information exchange, operational peer-to-peer collaboration, making recommendations for more effective policies and guidelines, and finally carrying out joint awareness-raising campaigns aimed at citizens and organisations.

Where does trust really reside in our digital world? In this BE-CYBER 2026 podcast episode, Kristof Tuyteleers, CISO of DNS Belgium, and Jurgen Gaeremyn, founder of BeLibre, explore the growing importance of digital sovereignty in an era of geopolitical uncertainty, cloud dependency and increasing concentration of digital power. Together, they examine how organisations can maintain meaningful control over critical data, infrastructure and services, while continuing to benefit from global innovation. The discussion covers digital trust, strategic dependencies, the role of NIS2, cloud sovereignty, supplier risk, resilience and the difficult balance between trust and control. Through practical examples and real-world insights, this conversation challenges organisations to rethink where digital power resides and what it truly means to remain sovereign in an interconnected world. Join us at BE-CYBER 2026 and discover why trust should never be blind, but always verifiable through transparency, resilience and meaningful choice.
🎙️ AI is learning to act. But who is allowed to decide?Agentic AI represents a major shift: instead of merely performing predefined tasks, AI systems can increasingly determine how to pursue an objective, adapt their approach and interact with multiple tools and systems. This creates exciting opportunities, but also urgent questions about oversight, responsibility and trust. Host Tommy Gontie is joined by Michel Herquet of Yuma and Abdullah Elbi of KU Leuven’s Centre for IT & IP Law and imec. They examine how organisations can prepare for Agentic AI, why autonomy must never become autonomy from accountability, and how innovation can remain aligned with human dignity, fundamental rights and democratic values. From mental well-being and education to European sovereignty and strategic autonomy, this episode looks beyond the technology to ask a bigger question: how do we want to shape our AI-powered future? A special teaser for the Artificial Intelligence, Reimagined track at BE-CYBER 2026, on 22 September at La Sucrerie in Wavre
