"...When you experience death, there's got to be a shift, or something hasn't died. When you got saved, there should have been a shift, because your old man died... I'm not crying over what I used to be. I'm crying for the more of God! Has anybody experienced a shift [since] you've been saved?... If you're still lying [you're old man] ain't dead. If you're still cussing folk out [you're old man] ain't dead. If you're still back biting and gossiping [you're old man] ain't dead. And he's a she too, so she ain't dead either... The mortician calls it 'dead weight.' Some of us have been bringing dead bodies to church for years, taking up this place, experiencing phagocytosis, which is the decomposition of the flesh, because you won't let go of what you used to be... Now you're putting perfume on top of your decay, putting on cologne over top of your rotting; and people don't have enough nerve to tell you [that] you stink! You smell bad! Your old man came here, [and] you should have left your old man in the grave!" - @BishopHennings

"...You don't ever want God to replace you. You want Him to transition you. Because when He transitions you, you shift from being a fighter to a figure, when you've been replaced, you shift from being a fighter to a failure; and you'll know where you are by where you sit... The only way you cannot be replaced is that even when you're not in your seat, your name is on it. Just because I don't show up does not mean you can have my seat! Me not being here does not give you the right to think you can replace me. I'm just not there yet, but my name is on the seat, which says I'm coming! If my name is on it, I'm on the way!" - @BishopHennings

When you want [something] bad enough, you'll start moving... For anybody that's lethargic, tired and dull and you're not going anywhere in God or in life, you've made up in your mind that [it's over]... But there's another group that says, "I know [it seems bad right now], but I still choose life!..." I don't care what money you don't have. I don't care what degree you don't have. Grow with what you got! Work with what you got! - @BishopHennings

"The word of your testimony is the word of God... See, when you don't have the word of God, you don't have a testimony, [and] you'll start walking around like, 'I'm just tired of this, and I ain't going to do this.' But when you go by the testimony of the Word of God, you'll say, 'I know I'm going through something, but no weapon formed against me shall prosper! I know the devil meant it for evil, but God meant it for my good!' See you overcome by the word of your testimony. The word of your testimony is the word of God. If you don't have [the] word of God, you're going to be defeated. You better learn how to say, 'this too shall come to pass.' That's in the book! You found the lump in your breast yesterday... Well, you gotta tell yourself, 'this too shall pass!' That's your testimony. [if you say] 'I don't have no testimony.' You don't have no word. That's why Satan couldn't talk to Adam like he talked to Eve. Eve didn't depend upon the word of the testimony. [Eve] said, [she couldn't touch the tree, but] God never said anything about touching the tree. She [didn't] know the word and so [the devil] started talking to her because her word level was weak. That's why, when the devil starts dealing with people, he finds the weakest people based upon their word level. Everybody goes through things, but when you [have] a word level, [the devil] knows you're going to come out of it! When you know this is going to end, you're say things like, 'weeping may endure for a night!' We got a word level and we got a testimony every day, man, I tell myself, 'nothing is impossible to them that believe!' I'm sitting at the light [saying,] 'nothing is impossible to them that believe.' [we overcome] by the word! Why did Satan leave Jesus [alone] in Luke Chapter 4? Jesus quoted the word; and the Bible said, 'Satan left.' Why is he hanging around you; and your money; and your marriage and your kids? Because you don't quote enough Word! The word makes demons run!" - @BishopHennings

"See, a whole lot of people love the idea of promotion, but don't like what the promotion brings. Promotion brings pain. Any promotion. I don't care if it's secular or sacred... [Because] after [the promotion] comes major responsibility. The same people you used to work with now they can't stand you because your seat changed!.. So if you can't tolerate pain and patience, don't get promoted. [Because] much is given. Much is required!" - @BishopHennings

"When you've been restored, you gotta change your company: because some people don't know [your] battle. They don't know the battle that you went through to look the way you look right now, and they'll sit there and think they can put on makeup [to] look like you now. [But] this didn't come from makeup. This came from scratching and crying and bleeding and being dogged and being misused, and still getting up and washing your face and combing your hair getting ready for round two; and you're saying like Job, though they slay me, yet will I trust him!" - @BishopHennings

"The minute you tell somebody how you feel, they picked up your currency. In other words, if I tell you what's going on, I just gave you something, and you gotta give me something back. I can never tell you that I'm going through something and you not give me anything back... If I tell you I'm going through something and you give me nothing back you stole from me. But if I'm going through something and I tell you I'm going through something, I'm giving you currency, and you have obligatory commitment to give me something back: tell me it's going to be alright, or encourage me or or pray for Me, or give me some direction, give me some counsel. And if I don't want to hear you, then I'm broke!... And a lot of people are broke, man, because they won't exchange." - @BishopHennings

“Sin will make you deaf to your deliverance… [You] can't hear because sin has made [you] deaf. We think sin is simply the transgression, but sin will deafen you!.. You won't be able to hear God. You won't be able to hear his word… See, to transgress is to miss the mark.  It’s about moving in the wrong direction; and today's church is starting to call transgression, a weakness. However, to transgress is to go off. And some people have went off, and stayed off, and wondered why their heart is jacked up… The sad part is, you'll be lifting your hands and God doesn't hear you. You'll be saying, Thank You, Jesus, and He doesn't hear you. Attending church weekly, but He doesn't hear you; and then on Judgment Day, He says, I know you not!” - @BishopHennings

“See, there's a place in you designed by God for God, and when you try to supplement that place with something else, you're going to mess up… [But] when your spirit becomes stronger than your flesh, your spirit will drag your flesh to a place so it can be fed. That's when you can sit in the [church] and be mad but can't leave, because you know you're guilty, you know you're wrong, you know you're nasty, but your spirit said, ‘eat, eat, eat, eat!’ I don't ever want to be in a church where I can't get convicted to do right! And if your motivation is to do wrong, you're in the wrong church!..” - @BishopHennings

"Some of you are afraid to use the name [of Jesus]... I'm not talking about in the church. I double dog dare you to say the name [of Jesus] on your your lunch break... The name got me delivered! The name got me saved! The name gave me my family! The name gave me my babies! The name gave me the activity of my limbs!... Folks afraid to say the name [of Jesus]!... They're only Christian in the church... [But when] I get a doctor's report - I say Jesus! [When I] look at my bank account - Jesus! [When I] look at my bills - Jesus! [When I] look at my children - Jesus! [When I] look at my grandson - Jesus!.. Because the only way I can keep my connection with eternity [is] I've got to talk to the Eternal One!" - @BishopHennings
