Presented by comedian and comedy researcher Jim Judges this podcast will focus on stand-up character comedy. We’ll be meeting and hearing from a whole host of comedians about their work and finding out about their background, how they got started, their on-stage experiences, their writing process and their motivations for what they do. Along the way we will also consider some of the differences and similarities between regular more authentic stand-up and the amazing funny fictional world of character comedy.

In this episode we hear from Kev F Sutherland the comedian behind The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre. After hearing briefly from the socks we hear from performer, writer and comic strip artist Kev. We learn about his previous career from the early days of stand-up to performing with the Socks in his unique and very funny Sock Puppet Theatre and everything else in between. It's a bumper episode and is ideal for anyone with an interest in the characters and the people behind the world of live stand-up comedy.

The character Sol has worked with them all: Elvis Presley, the Beatles, The Rat Pack, Lenny Bruce, Jack Benny, Tommy Cooper and Eddie Large.
