Sarah and Susie are participating in an unconventional macabre game when they predict which celebrities will die this year, but Sarah argues it's a "celebration of life." We debate the Tourette's Syndrome scandal at the BAFTAs and consider what the appropriate way to handle it was. Susie shares a story of a woman who's AI chatbot started claiming she would meet her soulmate at a particular time and place, and, spoiler alert, she didn't, but now she's raising alarm bells about the persuasive nature of AI and LLMs. We discuss the Olympic skater known as the Quad God and his disappointing performance in Madrid, and we learn the science of "choking" when put under pressure and techniques to help prevent the "yips," or choking when stressed. Susie describes The Queen of Chess documentary, the sexism in the sport, the little girl who beat Bobby Fisher's 30-year record, and why grown men are petrified of losing to a girl.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Get $30 off your first box - PLUS free Croissants for life - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/braincandy to start your subscription today! This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Is love truly blind? Just ask the Love is Blind contestant who accidentally glued her eyeball shut (we're not laughing, you are). Today, we're celebrating Sarah's birthday by hoping she gets to do what she loves most, sneaking food into the cinema. We also vent about a torturous hike ruined by unprompted motivational speeches from men on the trail. Then, we get into the science of attraction. Think you have a "type"? Sarah explains why you're wrong, who you actually like, and why the person of your dreams is probably already off the market. The Dating Debate: Be honest, do you actually have a "type" or do you think it's all a myth?#LoveIsBlind #DatingMyths #RelationshipAdvice #DatingPsychology #MovieSnacks #HikingAdventures #TrailEtiquette00:00 - Bragging Rights, New Toys, and Jury Duty Woes04:43 - Movie Theater Snacks and Questionable Tax Practices08:20 - Why '100%' and 'Correct' Are Overused18:17 - Nail Glue in Eye and Body's Amazing Resilience25:50 - Conquering the Manitou Incline and Annoying Motivators42:48 - Dating Psychology, Deal Breakers, and Sarah's 40thBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Lordy, lordy, Sarah is almost 40! In this episode, Susie shares a wild story she heard about the OJ Simpson case that has her questioning everything. We also dive into the America's Next Top Model documentary. As two women with reality TV backgrounds, we found it triggering, and discuss why people get so offended when we share negative experiences from our time on MTV.From the chaos of TV to the delights of recovery, we then explore the topic of EMDR therapy. We break down what experts are saying about it, why there is disagreement on why it works, and the concerns about some therapists getting fast and loose with their implementation of it. Finally, Susie discusses an interview with a woman who had no idea she was pregnant and accidentally gave birth in a toilet. We examine how it is possible for someone to be completely unaware of their pregnancy. In This Episode:Sarah is almost 40!A wild story about the OJ Simpson caseThe America's Next Top Model documentary and our MTV reality TV experiencesWhat experts say about EMDR therapy and its implementationHow someone can not know they are pregnant and give birth in a toilet00:00 - Celebrating Sarah's 40th Birthday and New Life Priorities02:38 - Discovering Joy in Zumba with Weights and Heels06:36 - Unpacking the Wild OJ Simpson Son Conspiracy Theory09:37 - Sarah's Birthday Celebrations and Mom's Recovery Journey12:56 - Finding Inspiration in Older Olympians and Age Milestones16:51 - Susie's Humorous Longitudinal Study Urine Sample Incident21:17 - Healthy, Easy Meals with Hungry Root Delivery Service23:39 - The Triggering Truth of America's Next Top Model Exploitation37:49 - Finding Emotional Support and Feeling Lighter with Better Help40:16 - Why People Dismiss Negative Reality TV Experiences45:35 - How EMDR Therapy Reprocesses Trauma and Negative Beliefs53:05 - The Shocking Story of an Accidental Toilet Birth59:58 - Exposing Gender Bias in 'Psychotherapist' vs. 'Therapist' Titles01:05:31 - Final Thoughts and Verbo Care PartnershipThe Sponsors & Partnerships we Love:Get 40% off your first box PLUS get a free item in every box for life when you go to https://www.hungryroot.com/braincandy and use code braincandySupport the Brain Candy Podcast:Website: https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Book Recommendations: https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Merchandise: https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Candy Club: https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Sponsor Codes: https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Follow Us on Social Media & Platforms:LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights: https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

We are officially living the "O-head" Olympic lifestyle, but the podium isn’t all glory. This week, we’re debating Lindsey Vonn’s controversial decision to compete on a torn ACL. Was it a display of heart, or did she rob a healthy athlete of their shot at gold? Plus, we break down the most unhinged post-race interview in history: a Norwegian bronze medalist who decided a global broadcast was the perfect place to trauma-dump about his infidelity and recent breakup. The conversation takes a serious turn as we dive into the Lucy Letby case. We analyze the trial of the neonatal nurse convicted of murdering infants and ask the tough question: was justice served, or did a flawed medical system produce a flawed trial? We also tackle the modern feminist dilemma of splitting the bill on a first date and explore the dark side of the creator economy—YouTubers who use FOIA requests to profit off body cam footage of women being arrested. Finally, Sarah is prepping for jury duty, and we’re taking bets on how long it takes her to turn the courtroom into a Law & Order episode. #LucyLetby #OlympicDrama #LindseyVonn #TrueCrimePodcast #FirstDateEtiquette00:00 - Debating Lindsey Vonn's Torn ACL Olympic Comeback06:39 - Fueling Your Day with Delicious Brodo Bone Broth09:05 - Bronze Medalist's Shocking Infidelity Confession on Air14:00 - Unpacking Team USA's Controversial Eagle Skirt Uniform16:29 - Refresh Your Wardrobe with Daily Look Personal Styling19:41 - Bad Bunny's Halftime Show: Ageism vs. Xenophobia24:48 - Re-examining the Lucy Letby Neonatal Nurse Murder Case29:51 - Sarah's Jury Duty, Olympic Dreams, and True Patriotism36:54 - Upgrade Your Cat's Diet with Smalls Human-Grade Food39:14 - Who Pays? Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches, but while Sarah and Amy are navigating a new romantic milestone, Susie is mostly just finding the whole shift deeply annoying. The duo dives into the social dynamics of the season by dissecting the functional differences between friendship and community, exploring why we need both even if they serve wildly different purposes in our lives. The conversation takes a sharp turn into "fitness cults" as Sarah realizes her old workout routine was less about health and more about a non-religious devotion to a gym leader, before pivoting to a bizarre news story involving a WWI artillery shell and a very delicate emergency room extraction. Naturally, this leads to a candid and hilarious debate over the 69 position; Sarah maintains it is an overrated logistical nightmare, but after Susie’s passionate defense, the pair concludes that Sarah’s distaste is likely just a result of poor execution.00:00 - New Relationship Dynamics and Valentine's Day Expectations10:19 - Understanding the Different Needs of Friendship and Community16:44 - Film Students and the Decline of Attention Spans24:41 - Manage Your Money and Cancel Subscriptions with Rocket Money26:46 - The Problem with Grading on a Curve in Academia30:47 - A Bizarre Emergency Room Visit: Unexploded Artillery Shell42:07 - Amplify Your Everyday with Thrive Cosmetics and Community Support44:56 - Sarah and Susie Debate the Logistics of the 69 Position49:57 - Experiencing Awe: Aquanauts and the Underwater Overview Effect54:16 - Why Public Dancing is Disappearing and Overcoming EmbarrassmentBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. We discuss the difference in written communication between women and men, and the reason women have to track their punctuation and balance perceived warmth and competence. Sarah and Susie are reuniting in Denver again, and they are psyched. Sarah is talking about life hack's she's trying in the new year. So what, who cares. Sarah claims there are five "approved" lesbian haircuts and we learn what they are. There is some special nail polish that is going viral that is supposed to allow you to color coordinate by changing the color magically, but it ends up looking insane, and Sarah is mad about it.Brain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Get 40% off your first box PLUS get a free item in every box for life. Sarah's outdoor adventures never stop, and this time she ended up in a ski parade! While Susie has resorted to wearing heated apparel inside. Susie shares the story of Andrea Yates, the woman who killed her five children, and the religious beliefs that made her think she should. Susie is worked up about how grandparents now insist on being called all kinds of weird names and Sarah's got a theory about why they don't want to be called "grandma." We discuss the abundance of "service" dogs on planes and the reasons people bend the rules to get their dog on board, and why it's the airlines's fault. And we hear about two babies who were switched at birth and it wasn't discovered until they were two years old, and the moms had to decide whether to switch them back or not! The story is unbelievable, and no matter what, there is no right answer to how to handle it.00:00 - Sarah's Ski Parade and Susie's Heated Apparel17:51 - Unpacking the Horrific Andrea Yates Child Drowning Case23:13 - Examining the Extreme Religious Cult Behind Andrea Yates30:30 - How Religious Ideology Scaffolds Mental Illness43:11 - Why Grandparents Resist Being Called 'Grandma'52:17 - The Airline's Fault for Fake Service Dogs01:01:34 - The Impossible Choice in a Switched at Birth Case01:11:39 - Support the Podcast: Patreon, Reviews, and SponsorsBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Begin your personalized roadmap to sexual happiness with Beducated by taking the quiz at https://beducate.me/pd2602-braincandySee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Sarah has a new guilty pleasure called Members Only, but she says it's more like Real Housewives of Mar-a-Lago. We hear why she is fascinated by these ladies (and their clothing). We debate the virtues of changing your last name when you get married, and how certificates and diplomas should be amendable if you change your name. We learn the benefits of pet ownership according to science, and whether it is better or worse for your happiness than having children. Susie wants you all to know it is certainly better than having a teenager. Sarah explains, at long last, what the appendix even does and why it's more important than most people realize. And Susie tells the story of her friend who had to have her appendix removed because she tried to beat Cher in a feat of strength. This is a true and hilarious story. And we find out about a device that measures your child's vitals, and can alert parents of an impending temper tantrum, and we hear whether it's effective in preventing or reducing their severity.00:00 - Intellectualizing "Members Only: Real Housewives of Mar-a-Lago"08:09 - Taco Bell 50K Rules and Daily Look Styling Service13:06 - The Annoyance of Last Names on Diplomas23:32 - Human-Grade Nutrition for Your Feline Friends25:55 - Pet Ownership, Happiness, and the Kid Question36:45 - BetterHelp for Life's Non-Stop Onslaught39:40 - The Appendix's True Function and Cher's Plank47:59 - Mayo Clinic's Tantrum Prevention Watch59:00 - Shushing People, Loud Neighbors, and Podcast Wrap-upBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:For 50% off your order, head to https://www.dailylook.com and use code BRAINCANDYGet 60% off your first order, plus free shipping, when you head to https://www.smalls.com/braincandyThis episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. We're already getting all emotional about coming up on our 1000th episode, and enjoying the fact that all the naysayers were wrong about us being a "showmance." Susie watched the Chevy Chase documentary, and was hoping to find out if he is in fact the a-hole he is often accused of being. Spoiler: he kind of is. We discuss some big news in psychology research, and it turns out maybe everything we thought we knew is wrong? (So what, who cares.) We found out about an ultramarathon that is simultaneously the opposite of our forthcoming (imaginary) flip-flop 5K and also in competition with it. It involves 31 miles and 9 Taco Bell locations.00:00 - Celebrating 1000 Episodes and Proving Naysayers Wrong03:36 - Our Steve Martin and Martin Short Dynamic08:31 - Susie's Winter Woes: No Snow for Skiing10:15 - Modern, Non-Toxic Cooking with Caraway Cookware13:20 - Debating the McRib Lawsuit and Food System Issues18:37 - The Chevy Chase Documentary and White Male Privilege29:30 - Empowering Your Finances with Rocket Money App32:37 - Debunking Cognitive Dissonance and Psychology Studies45:27 - Sarah's Confidence in the Taco Bell 50K UltramarathonBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Visit https://www.carawayhome.com/braincandypod and you can take an additional 10% off your next purchase!Let Rocket Money help you reach your financial goals faster. We are pretty psyched about our New Year's resolution, and we highly recommend not giving a f*ck to everyone. We learn why Denmark has suspended mail delivery, and we consider whether this is news of progress or a dystopian future. Sarah is extolling the virtues of an "analog bag," and we discuss what we would keep in our bags. Sarah got tricked by AI and we're mad about it. We learn about a man who was fined in England for littering, except the "litter" was a leaf that blew into his mouth and he spit out. WHAT. We learn about a senior living facility that is bringing in cosmetology students (aka a glam squad) to give the residents makeovers.00:00 - Embracing the 'So What, Who Cares?' Sarah has a PSA for ladies thanks to Trivia Pursuit and her aging feet. Hear why you're probably wearing the wrong shoe size. We learn why we were wrong about Octomom, how she is a victim of an unethical system and why she should get more credit. Susie is worked up about the P Diddy documentary, how messed up he seems, and how the documentary made us love Fifty Cent even more. A woman whose hobby it is to throw messages in a bottle out to sea got a response from someone who is none-to-pleased with her leisure activity. Hear why Sarah agrees with the woman's new enemy. We landed on our theme for 2026, and it feels so right. It encapsulates our attitude for the year. Sarah got a good news/bad news situation about her lady parts, and she wants the world to know about it. We learn about a man who has been walking the globe for over 25 years and he is on our main nerve. Sarah watched the Murder in Monaco documentary, and it made her wonder whether you can lie to yourself if you do it long enough. We hear why men are becoming more involved in their health and well-being, but Susie wonders if this isn't just machismo dressed up as self-care. Sarah reveals which animals are the most "monogamous," and we wonder whether humans are messing up the data. Plus, we learn about Orville and Wilbur Wright's sister Katherine, who was erased from history despite her genius work.00:00 - Embracing 'So What, Who Cares?' for 202603:21 - Sarah's Journey with a Tight Pelvic Floor09:42 - Importance of Parental Therapy13:08 - Karl Bushby: 27 Years of Walking the World18:57 - Delicious Wildgrain Bread and Secretly Baked Cookies22:56 - Unraveling the Mystery of Murder in Monaco28:21 - The New Male Fascination with Sperm Count and Health37:19 - Ranking Monogamy in Mammals, Humans Included47:25 - Non-Tragic Sibling Bands and Dealing with Teasing55:58 - The Erased Genius Sister of the Wright BrothersBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Begin your personalized roadmap to sexual happiness with Beducated by taking the quiz at https://beducate.me/pd2602-braincandyGet $30 off your first box - PLUS free Croissants for life - when you go to https://wildgrain.com/braincandy to start your subscription. This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. Sarah is back from Mexico, and she has tales to tell! It was a White Lotus scenario with a little jellyfish run-in on the side. Susie watched The Stringer documentary about the Napalm Girl Pulitzer Prize winning photograph, and the recent controversy about who took the picture. We learn about a 30 year study on the language used in obituaries, and what it can teach us about societal values, what matters to us, and what influences changes over time. We're discussing the feedback from Sooz Review of Jaws, and why people are real worked up about it. We learn about a woman who changed her gender on LinkedIn only to get a 400% increase in page views, so obviously we're mad about it. Sarah explains why drones are being used in warfare and it feels more dangerous than you'd think. Susie describes a study that had a man dressed as Batman entering a subway car, and the surprising effect it had on passengers, but the real surprise was the conclusions it gave scholars. We learn about a man who is wearing ridiculous pants to win a jeans contest for absolutely no reason, and Sarah cannot quit laughing at him. Plus, we hear about a trial where a mistress was fined almost $2M for breaking up a marriage, while the man was not held accountable in any way.00:00 - Setting the Stage: Podcast Intro and Lively Banter03:39 - The Hot Take on Jaws and Classic Movie Opinions08:06 - Women Change Gender on Linkedin for More Views20:35 - Drug-Free Nausea Relief for Any Situation23:36 - Modern Warfare Drones: An Unexpected Environmental Nightmare31:00 - Critiquing the Batman Subway Chivalry Experiment36:55 - The Absurd World of Raw Denim Fading Competitions49:36 - Outrage Over Mistress Fined for Alienation of AffectionBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:Get $35 off Aura’s best-selling Carver Mat frames - named #1 by Wirecutter - by going to https://auraframes.com and using promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout. For 20% off your order, head to https://reliefband.com and use code BRAINCANDYSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We learn about the Selena documentary, and the life, career, and death of the Tejano singer, who was killed by a disgruntled employee. We find out the evolutionary advantage of kissing, which animals do it, how scientists define "kissing," and why it actually could protect us from harm. Susie explains why raccoons might become the next domesticated animals, why they seem to be ushering in their pet era, and why experts are convinced it's inevitable. We discuss the new female test dummy (or smartie as Susie calls her), and why it took so long to get it made, why people still aren't happy, and why it's so expensive to make. We're mad at the Guinness World Book of Records again because of their evolving business model and the schemes they're using to make bank. And Susie talks about the Stiller and Meara documentary, about the comedy duo and their famous son, Ben Stiller, and why despite their fame, they're more relatable than you'd think.00:00 - From Christmas Decor to Flip-Flop 5K Ideas10:44 - Unpacking the Selena Documentary and HerEnduring Influence21:06 - Exploring the Surprising Science and History of Kissing39:16 - Why Raccoons Might Be the Next Domesticated Animal46:28 - Unveiling the New Female Crash Test Dummy and Its Importance53:31 - Questioning the Evolving Business Model of Guinness World Records58:42 - The Intricate Lives and Careers of Comedy Duo Stiller and MearaBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:For 50% off your order, head to https://www.dailylook.com and use code BRAINCANDYGo to https://cozyearth.com and use my code BRAINCANDY for up to 20% off!Get $35 off Aura’s best-selling Carver Mat frames - named #1 by Wirecutter - by going to https://auraframes.com and using promo code BRAINCANDY at checkout.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Is this a poem that Sarah recited? "how perfect our eyesight, our vision how true, we see all clearly what others should do" Please let me know where this is from.

This is by far the dumbest podcast I've ever listened to. First off, you going into an Autozone not even knowing what parts you need is NOT THEIR PROBLEM. You were depending on those employees to troubleshoot the vehicle because they're MEN and YOU thought THEY should know. So get off your gender high horse. Also, I hope men listening to this podcast are not turned off to ask other women if they need help. Just because this girl thought she knew everything, doesn't mean other women don't need help. It's scary to inconvenience someone else to ask for help. If someone is KIND enough to offer, we appreciate it. A simple no thank you would have been fine. I know how to change my own oil and change a tire, doesn't mean I don't want a man to stop and ask if I need help when I'm stranded on the side of a highway. Stop thinking women can do everything. Even if we could, you know damn well we don't want to.

hi! I know I'm way behind (years) but I'm just listening from the beginning and love you guys! I heard you mention in this episode that Sarah talked about her relationship with a women in the last episode (sex episode) but I went back and listened and didnt hear it! I was interested in hearing more about this relationship, wasn't sure if there's another episode where she talks more about it.

I started listening to you two last December (2016) when I went on my first international flight to Australia. I downloaded a few episodes and was hooked! Once I got through every episode you guys had done (in about 2 weeks), I now patiently wait every week for the one or two episodes! I love you girls and your mix of fun, feminism, and the sciences! Your unapologetic attitudes towards life keep me motivated to be the best I can be and stop being polite 😉 Love you two.
