The second installment of Sonido sin Límites finds us in studio with a talented group of musicians, Viaje Nahual. A bit of a stray from Episode 1 on The Frida Cinema Parklet focused on the individual’s journey with music, but as this series moniker denotes, we’re not confining ourselves to a single interview format. I do love the tone that was set for this series by Episode 1 with Reyna Chabeli from Los Incredulous del Norte and I look forward to more of those episodes so make sure you check it out!  For Episode 2, we sit down with 4/5 of Viaje Nahual from la ciudad de las luces Las Vegas, NV the day after their performance at Cito de Mayo Street Festival organized by Cervezacito Brewery in Downtown Santa Ana. Viaje Nahual brought their Latin psychedelia sounds to Santa Ana in a dreamy performance that displayed the electric synergy that forms between impassioned musicians. Cindy, Mikelo, Fernando, and Ricky brought that same energy to our studio to share a bit about themselves with Stanford Sound Co.’s very own Priscilla Noriega.  Viaje Nahual discuss their formation through manifestation, connecting with nature, and upholding the brilliant sounds of their motherlands like Peruvian Cumbia called Chicha. This is a band that is focused on creation, not only booking gigs but also putting on events of their own like Tropidarks at Oddfellows in Las Vegas on May 24th (the day this episode likely drops). This episode features their song “Waves”, make sure to check it out along with the rest of their jams available on all streaming platforms. Catching them in their hometown of Las Vegas is certainly worth the trip. We also hear they’ll be returning to Orange County later this summer so be sure to follow Viaje Nahual on Instagram at @viaje.nahual Stanford Sound Co. is thankful to be a part of Viaje Nahual’s journey, to shine a spotlight on their talent, and to share their music with you all.
