If like me you've ever procrastinated, or gotten too focused on making something "perfect", then you're familiar with the concept of self-sabotaging behaviour. This week I'm joined by talent agent, Psychology Ph.D., certified Hypnotist and NLP Practitioner, Albert Bramante. Together, we'll delve into the nuances of leadership, self-sabotage, and the importance of creativity in the personal and professional realms. Albert shares some of the lessons and challenges he's witnessed from his 20 years in the entertainment industry, why perseverance and resilience in the face of competition are crucial, as well as the significance of integrity and listening in leadership. Thanks for listening/watching this episode of Leading with integrity: Leadership talk. At first glance, the phrases "leveraging AI" and "People-first" seem mutually exclusive, or at least competing priorities, don't they? Today on Leading with Integrity, we'll be hearing why that's a flawed assumption, and how the reality is more complex. My guest is Founder, Strategist, and Human–AI Collaborator, Lynn Colepaugh. We talk about how the integration of AI in a human-centric approach (in Lynn's case, for marketing and creativity) is the way of the future. Lynn also shares her origin story, from touring musician to digital marketing expert, and business founder, and the lessons about leadership, authenticity and emotional intelligence learned along the way. We even manage to talk Disney, Battlestar Galactica, and time travel! Thanks for listening/watching this episode of Leading with integrity: Leadership talk. It's well established that physical fitness is important, what about mental fitness? How in-shape is your mindset? This week, I'm joined by Mindset, Business, & Stress Coach, Raj Soren, also the author of Black Belt Mindset. We discuss why mental health in the workplace is not to be overlooked, stigmatised, or ignored, the role and responsibilities leaders have in this regard, and how to have a more open conversation about it in your own workplace. Raj shares his personal experiences with burnout and stress and why he is so vocal about the need for these conversations, to reduce stigma and create more supportive working environments. Other topics include the mind-body connection, the impact of leadership on organizational culture, and practical strategies for managing stress. "Introverts aren't good leaders" "I'd like to see you be more outgoing" "We're looking for extroversion in our leaders here" Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. It's hogwash though, rubbish, nonsense.I'm joined this week by Stacey Chazin, leadership coach for introverts, to discuss this crucial topic and expand our understanding of leadership, with practical 'how to' advice like how to recognise and leveraging the strengths of introverted individuals in the workplace. From personal experiences, to the impact of feedback, the role of personality assessments, and strategies for introverts to thrive in leadership and professional settings. And if you're not an introvert, don't worry, Stacey also provides some great insights on how to support your introverted team members more effectively. What can every leader stand to learn from the life of a professional clown?A unique question, for a singular guest, as this week I'm joined by Motivational Speaker, Author, and former Hospital Clown, Eddy Smits. As he shares his journey from teacher to professional clown we talk about the importance of humor in leadership and personal development, and how Eddy's experiences working in hospitals taught him valuable lessons about authenticity, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness. Eddy advocates for a simpler approach to leadership, encouraging leaders to be themselves and to embrace their humanity. He shares some powerful stories from his experiences to back this up, showing the significance of choices and why we should be reframing challenges as opportunities for growth. What do MTV and Solopreneurs have in common? This guy! (By which I mean, this week's guest). I'm joined on Leading with Integrity this week by Emmy Award-winning visibility strategist, media advisor, and talent brand builder, Vinnie Potestivo. We'll be talking visibility and identity, leadership, talent development, and the role of storytelling. Vinnie shares some truly meaningful stories from his career experiences so far, with the occasional household name or two, as we discuss topics like the significance of clarity and consistency in branding, the journey of self-discovery, and the impact of AI on creative rights. There's also some excellent advice and pointers here for collaboration, building brands and navigating the digital landscape. I loved recording this episode, and huge thanks to Vinnie for taking the time out of his hectic schedule to spend talking leadership, business, and life with me. I'm extremely glad to drop this week's episode with the branding mercenary himself, Daniel J. Moore. Dan is an incredible advocate of the solopreneur life, living your values, and being strategic with your brand. He's got some entertaining leadership stories to share. And he embodies (pretty much) everything he says. So this chat was more than great fun, it was also spot on for this month's theme, educational, and even inspirational in moments too.A quick run-down of all the topics we covered: the significance of integrity in business, the journey of freelancing, the role of courage in branding, how to navigate the challenges of being a solopreneur, the power of storytelling, and the mistakes to avoid in business. The key theme of being true to oneself, your values, being yourself (we veered away from buzzwords where we could, but 'authenticity' would be the one to use here!) and the impact of personal experiences on professional growth.
