Imagine growing up in a world where energy was real, spirit was part of the conversation, and healing was something passed down through generations. That was my guest, Barbara Savin’s world.
In this episode, Barbara shares the powerful influence of her two grandmothers and how they shaped the path she walks today. One was a natural healer. The other lived a life of service. Between the two of them, Barbara absorbed something rare – a deep knowing that life is more than what you can see.
From Brooklyn to Spiritual Awakening
Raised in Brooklyn, Barbara’s journey from highly sensitive child to certified hypnotherapist and spiritual life coach is layered, human, and surprisingly relatable. She didn’t just inherit mystical gifts. She had to wrestle with them.
And that’s where it gets interesting.
Barbara grew up in a time when anything spiritual was dismissed as “woo-woo.” Even with two spiritually attuned grandmothers, the outside world didn’t validate what she felt. Her own mother was skeptical and often dismissive of Barbara’s intuitive experiences, which created a deep inner conflict.
Imagine being a sensitive child who feels everything and senses emotion in a room instantly, and then being told it’s not real. That tension stayed with her for years.
She often felt caught between two worlds, the practical Brooklyn life around her and the invisible energetic world humming just beneath the surface. It wasn’t until her 30s, when her own health challenges brought her to a breaking point, that she stopped resisting what she already knew.
Sometimes life nudges you. Sometimes it pushes. Her health crisis became a doorway.
Returning to energy healing wasn’t just about improving her physical well-being. It required emotional, mental, and spiritual recalibration. She had to come home to herself. By reclaiming her intuitive gifts, she regained her health and stepped into her true purpose.
And here’s the thing I love about Barbara’s story. It’s the unfolding of someone finally trusting what had always been there.
Healing Amidst Trauma
One of the most moving periods of her life came after 9/11. Her husband and son managed to escaped harm that day and the enormous relief and gratitude she felt pushed her into service.
When invited to help with first responders she jumped at the chance. She worked in the Salvation Army tent on Staten Island, assisting first responders with their healing.
Working with firefighters and others who were deeply traumatized changed her understanding of healing forever. Trauma doesn’t just live in the mind. It becomes embedded in the body and ripples through the nervous system. It lingers in the energy field and touches the spirit.
You don’t just “get over” something like that. Healing trauma, she realized, is a return to safety on every level. Physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual. It requires presence and compassion, and simply can’t be rushed.
Protect Your Energy
Her work during that time cemented what she already sensed as a child. You are more than your physical body, and real healing must include the unseen layers of who you are.
That brings us to something we both feel strongly about: protect your energy.
Barbara credits her grandmother’s teachings about stepping into God’s light as foundational. It’s a simple but powerful image. You consciously surround yourself with light and set an intention that only love flows in and out. That’s a beautiful example of energetic hygiene.
Just as you brush your teeth and care for your physical body, you must tend to your energetic well-being. Barbara emphasizes daily practices like meditation, gratitude, and clear boundaries. Her methods are grounded and practical.
Part of this is to be discerning about who you spend time with. You can feel the difference between someone who lifts you and someone who drains you. Your body and your energy know. She encourages you to notice who feels expansive and who feels heavy?
Maintaining healthy boundaries isn’t selfish. It’s emotionally intelligent and preserves your vitality.
Positivity Secrets
When I asked Barbara about her secrets to handling the decades with grace and vibrancy, her answer wasn’t complicated. Gratitude and meditation anchor her. Every morning she takes time to reflect on what she’s thankful for.
Even during seasons of challenge, including her husband’s health battles, she returns to presence and appreciation.
Gratitude, in her view, isn’t a forced positive attitude. Instead, its about alignment and it shifts your energy field. This is how you recalibrate your nervous system. A grateful heart reminds you that life is still offering gifts, even when circumstances feel uncertain. That practice keeps her light strong.
Embrace Your Spiritual Path
Barbara’s journey is ultimately about listening to the inner voice that refuses to go away. The one that whispers when something looks good on paper but feels wrong in your body. The one that nudges you back toward your true path no matter how long you’ve ignored it.
She chose to honor that voice, despite skepticism and convention. And in doing so, she built a life of fulfillment and service. There’s something comforting about that.
No matter how far you wander, your path is still there. Waiting, patient, and unmoved.
Get Barbara’s beautiful free meditation called “The Garden of Life,” which guides you through a gentle inner landscape of healing and self-discovery. It’s an invitation to reconnect with your own energy and remember that the answers you seek are not outside of you.
I love Barbara’s message of accepting who you are, trusting your sensitivity, and honoring your intuitive gifts. You can always choose light and gratitude even after trauma.
Her life is proof that when you embrace your spiritual nature and treat your energy with respect, you grow and find love, joy, and satisfaction.
And if you’ve ever wondered whether your own intuitive nudges are real, whether that quiet inner knowing deserves your trust, Barbara’s story feels like a gentle but clear answer. Yes, it does.

Have you ever had a moment where, for a split second, you remembered who you really are? That’s the divine spark. Not your “to-do list self”, nor the roles you play, but the part of you that feels ancient, luminous, and plugged into everything?
I just had one of those flashes, so let me tell you the story.
The Divine Spark
People use the word spark in all kinds of ways such as energy, life force, soul fire. Many meditations invite you to picture a divine spark in the heart. Recently I found myself wondering, where did that image even come from? Who started talking about the spark like that?
Minutes later I flopped onto the couch, opened YouTube, and clicked a video from Ellie Dreams Down Under, who has a fabulous playlist on the Gnostic gospels. And what was she talking about? The Spark. What it means and how it shows up in the Gnostic texts. The timing made me laugh.
(For more about Gospels, check out this episode about the Gospel of Mary -it’s about Mary Magdelene)
When things line up like that, I take it as a wink from the Universe. For me, that’s a moment of plugging into something bigger than my personality.
Sometimes those reminders are gentle, like a video. Other times they’re not subtle at all. A health crisis, an accident, a loss. Something cracks open ordinary life and there’s a fierce knowing, I am more than this physical form.
Buried Wisdom
You can trace the idea of a spark through many traditions, but today I want to focus on one text, the Gospel of Truth. It’s a mystical early Christian writing with a lot to say about forgetting, remembering, and that flash of recognition we’re calling the spark.
This isn’t a sermon but an esoteric deep dive into what the spark means and how it might be moving in your life.
The text was discovered in 1945 at Nag Hammadi in Egypt, part of a buried library of early Christian writings sealed in jars for centuries.
It’s usually connected to the Valentinians, a 2nd century mystical Christian group who cared less about believing the right thing and more about remembering where you come from.
When I first read it, I’ll be honest, some of the biblical language felt dense. Some of it made me roll my eyes. So I’m going to switch out modern words for what I consider the offensive words. I’ll explain as I go.
Belief Vs. Knowing
Belief is information you’ve been told. Gnosis, the word the Gnostics used, means inner knowing. It’s that moment when something wakes up and you think, “Oh. I know this. I’ve always known this.”
One scholar sums it up like this, “I come from God, I share God’s essence, I will return to God.” That’s the heartbeat of this text.
According to this story, humanity has fallen into ignorance and forgetfulness of the Divine Source. The gospel uses the word Father. I prefer Source or Universe. Ignorance is personified as Error. Error is described like a fog, even a nightmare we’re living inside.
Then Christ appears. He’s not someone balancing a cosmic spreadsheet of sins, but a teacher and revealer. His role is to dissolve ignorance through direct knowing of Source.
From this perspective, salvation isn’t about punishment. It’s about awakening and remembering where you came from and what’s real. That flash of, “Oh. I remember.” That’s the spark.
It’s the instant your everyday personality glimpses the deeper self that has never been separated from the Divine. You could even think of intuition as one way the spark activates. That persistent inner knowing that recognizes truth when it hears it.
Suffering and Liberation
The text says ignorance is the mother of all evils. As a modern woman, you can imagine my reaction. But we need to remember this was written in an ancient patriarchal culture. So, I’ve switched out “gives birth” for what a word I prefer – “creating”. Now you can understand that the gospel says ignorance creates suffering and awakening creates liberation.
When you forget who you are, fear and confusion step in. You start building your life around a mistaken identity. Gnosis isn’t trivial information. It’s a direct inner knowing of Source and of your own divine nature.
Living in Fog
Error refers to the fog. You can recognize it when you cling tightly to your roles such as mother, partner, caregiver, professional, helper. None of those are wrong. They’re beautiful. But when you believe that’s the entirety of who you are, the bigger picture disappears.
The spark is the moment something inside you says, “This can’t be the whole story.” It feels expansive. A remembering that you are more than your résumé, more than your relationship status, and more than your current problems.
Intuition tugs at your sleeve when you falsely shrink to fit those roles. It refuses to let you live only inside the fog and encourages you to remember the truth of who you are.
Human beings carry a piece of the Divine, a spark that has fallen into the material world and forgotten its origin. That’s us. We didn’t fall because we were bad. We fell because we forget.
You see versions of this story elsewhere. In Kabbalah there’s a teaching about a divine vessel filled with sparks of light. The vessel shatters, the sparks scatter, and each spark forgets it once belonged to a radiant whole.
The Gospel of Truth says Christ reminds you that you are still that spark. You never stopped being it. While you’re here in a body, the deeper work is remembering your true essence as divine presence. That’s what the Gnostics refer to as liberation.
Most of us have had at least one moment like that. Something cracks open and you realize you’re more than your physical form.
Fear and Misinformation
Error is described almost like a hostile force built out of misinformation, which feels very modern. We’re not strangers to misinformation – just think about the nonsense you see in social media.
The text says once truth appears, Error is exposed as hollow. It also talks about fear and terror come from ignorance. If you’re a midlife woman, you’re already familiar with how you start to ignore fear based scripts like:
If they don’t like me, I won’t be safe.
If I’m alone, I’m a failure.
If I disappoint someone, I’ll lose everything.
At some point something in you says, “That is not true.”
You drop those scripts not because someone convinced you, but because you feel their falseness in your body. In this framework, ignorance of your own divinity allowed those fears to be in charge earlier in life.
The spark is your moment of sanity. The flash where you realize you don’t have to live under those old stories anymore. That’s liberation.
Modern Reflection
Some modern thinkers explore similar ideas from a different angle. In The Divine Spark, an anthology edited by Graham Hancock, several writers suggest psychedelics may temporarily dissolve the brain’s filter, allowing people to experience unity consciousness.
They use different language, but are talking about the same idea. The fog thins and remembering happens, this time through psychedelic journeys.
I’m not suggesting you do plant medicine, though I know people who have had powerful insights through it. I’m simply pointing out that this question of remembering is still being explored two thousand years later.
The Gospel of Truth says humanity fell into ignorance and fear. Christ appeared as a messenger of joy and remembrance, calling you back to who you’ve always been. Whether you believe in Christ or not, the idea is beautiful. The spark is the part of you that recognizes that truth instantly.
As a spiritual framework, remembering your own divine nature resonates with me. Not in a grandiose way, but in a calming, grounded way.
You are part of the Universe. Which means you are not separate from anything. When I guide meditations and invite you to expand your energy field until you blend into everything around you, this is what you’re touching. That sense of oneness. Some describe it as agape, universal love, a steady belonging.
There’s something powerful about exploring this in your ordinary life, not as theology but as lived experience. That’s where gnosis begins. Right in the middle of your actual life.

February has been so crazy! With this annular solar eclipse, it feels like all hell is breaking loose. Here’s what’s happening astrologically.
Is Everyone Panicking?
My phone has been busy with texts, voice mails and calls where friends and clients are panicking and some wanted to run something by me. It’s not light stuff. It’s relationship strain, career panic, health worries, friendship fractures, spiritual doubt, or tech meltdowns.
What the heck is happening? I thought this was going to be a good year with movement and the power to create?
What’s fascinating is that the people reaching out are not normally dramatic. They tend to be savvy women who meditate, journal, regulate, and reflect. They usually handle life relatively easily. And yet this month, everyone’s nervous system is on fire.
Let’s zoom out and take the wise-woman view which I sometimes call the 100-foot perspective. When you understand the energy, you stop personalizing it, and that alone can calm you down
First let me say, don’t worry, the sky is not falling. But the astrology is wild and crazy.
What is An Annular Solar Eclipse?
February 17th brought an annular solar eclipse in Aquarius, known as the “ring of fire.” In this type of eclipse, the Moon doesn’t completely block the Sun. The center is obscured, but a ring of light burns around the edges.
A total eclipse feels like a blackout and reset. But, this is different. The core is hidden, while the edges are illuminated. You may not see the full picture or answer yet, but the pressure is lighting up what’s out of alignment and not working.
Aquarius governs community, technology, collective systems, online spaces, innovation, and the nervous system. It’s about the group, and also the rebel who stands apart from it.
Square with Uranus
This is beyond my pay grade when it comes to astrology, but the eclipse forms a square to Uranus. That’s the planet of shocks, disruption, sudden change, and liberation through chaos. In astrology, a square creates tension and it pushes and exposes what isn’t working.
Now we have an Aquarian eclipse about collective structures and identity, under pressure from Uranus, which breaks what’s rigid and outdated. That alone explains a lot. So, friendships may be strained, you might have tech glitches, and online spaces could seem volatile.
And, you may have a strong sense that “I cannot keep doing this the same way.”
Spiritually, think of it this way – the annular solar eclipse opens a portal, and Uranus is the lightning bolt shoving you through instead of letting you tiptoe at your own pace. No wonder everyone feels wired.
Year of the Fire Horse
But that’s not all. In the Chinese zodiac, the 17th marked the start of the Fire Horse year. Fire Horse energy is bold, restless, fast-moving, impulsive, and freedom-driven. It does not like feeling trapped and pushes for action.
That layers impulsive Fire Horse energy on top of an Aquarian eclipse that demands reinvention. And again, we’re still not done.
Saturn and Neptune
Around February 20, Saturn and Neptune meet at zero degrees Aries, which is the very beginning of the zodiac. Think of it as the cosmic starting line.
Saturn represents structure, responsibility, and reality. Neptune represents dreams, spirituality, illusion, and dissolution. When they come together, illusions dissolve and dreams get tested. And this is happening in Aries, the sign of identity, initiation, and self-definition.
So if you’ve been thinking, “Who am I now?” or “What do I even believe?” or “Why doesn’t my old coping strategy work?” you’re not losing it. This is a deep archetypal reset.
It can feel like the old container cracked, and the new one hasn’t been built yet. And this is on top of that annular solar eclipse.
Why This Feels Like a Crisis
When I look at the conversations I’ve had, there’s a pattern. It’s not random chaos, but more like a threshold of energy. In other words, there’s an energy shift on the horizon.
The Aquarius eclipse with Uranus activation is shaking collective and social structures. People are realizing they’ve over-given to groups and stayed in communities that drain them.
People are waking up to reaalize they built businesses around systems that don’t fit anymore, or curated identities that now feel warong or false. There may be a strong sense that insists, “I can’t keep being this version of myself” that’s running through everything.
Discernment and Wisdom
Then, Saturn and Neptune in Aries step in and ask, “If not that…then who are you?” It’s too much!
Let me explain this last piece. Neptune dissolves certainty while Saturn demands accountability. Spiritual bypassing won’t work now. Neither will shifting into fantasy or hiding by over-working. And you can’t rescue everyone either.
Yet, Fire Horse energy insists that you do something! That’s why people feel tempted to quit their job, leave the relationship, and burn bridges. Or you might want to make a giant leap to somewhere else.
Some leaps will be aligned with your highest good, but many will be simply reactive. That’s why discernment is everything right now. Be wise with your choices.
The Nervous System Factor
Eclipse season is always trying, especially teh annular solar eclipse. Aquarius and Uranus both connect to the nervous system. When Uranus is activated, people feel wired, restless, and jittery. Sleep can get disrupted and you’re likely mentally overstimulated. Plus, your old coping mechanisms stopped working. Yikes!
Then Neptune makes things feel foggy and emotionally porous. So, there’s this very strange combination of high alert and low clarity. which explains why you might feel like something big is happening, but you don’t know what it is or how to handle it.
Yup, that’s eclipse energy. Eclipses obscure before they reveal. With an annular eclipse, the center is blocked while the edges glow. You can’t see the core answer yet, but the misalignments are lit up.
The Spiritual Opportunity
The Aquarian eclipse asks for a reset in your relationship with community and the future. What are you actually trying to create?
Saturn and Neptune ask whether your dream is real enough to stand on.
Aries demands to know who you are when everything external is stripped away.
Fire Horse asks what you’re willing to risk for freedom.
Of course all of this can feel terribly destabilizing! Any identity shift triggers the ego’s alarm system.
OK, this could help a bit. You do not need to reinvent yourself overnight. Take time to refine your spiritual identity and distinguishing fantasy from your genuine intuition.
What Can You Do?
Your very first step is to regulate your nervous system before analyzing or doing anything. Before trying to figure anything out, be sure to calm your system and steady your body.
1. Calm the nervous system.
Extend your exhale longer than your inhale.
Hum for 3-minutes.
Walk outside without your phone.
Eat warm, simple food slowly.
Reduce scrolling and screen time.
Put limits on how much collective drama you consume.
2. Assess your communities.
Notice which conversations leave you wired or resentful. Where do you feel obligated instead of connected? Tihs powerful reset does not require any dramatic exits. Sometimes just pulling back where you’ve been over-giving will do the trick.
3. Clear your energy.
Before making big decisions, be sure to clear your energy field. You can smudge, take a detox bath, get some energy work. Then, decide the roles you’re done with like the fixer, the peacemaker, the one who holds it all together. Consciously release what roles no longer serve you.
4. Get specific about what you want.
Think about what you want. Do you want to collaborate or have a partnership? What kind of creative risk are you willing to take? What changes will you make to improve how you approach life and work?
The good news is that fire energy when focused, is transformative. But when that same energy is scattered, it can burn everything.
5. Limit venting.
This might surprise you but while venting can be good, you can’t let it go on too long. Go ahead and vent for 20-minutes, then take one grounding action. This way, you don’t risk causing yourself to spiral down any further. Small, steady choices are far better than panic-fueled leaps.
If You’re Steady Now, Know This
If right now you aren’t feeling all this craziness, you might be like me. I’m calm as long as the storm isn’t mine. Maybe you digest change faster than others.
Yet, if everyone is calling you to talk things over, you cannot save everyone. Take a break and turn off your phone. Drink tea or read a book. Take a walk or a nap.
Let yourself reset before showing up for others, so you don’t allow yourself to get drained. I got zapped when everyone called the same day!
Crossing a Threshold
February is a threshold month, which right now feels unstable because you’re between identities. You are at a turning point, along with the entire collective.
The best thing you can do is to slow down your decisions. Protect your attention and strengthen your body. Use the fire consciously and take your time.
When the astrology is this crazy like this, become quiet and watchful. Listen more carefully to what is actually true for you. All your inner knowing to guide you through this rough patch.
February is revealing what no longer fits. That revelation may be uncomfortable, but it is helpful to move you forward for your highest good. In the long run, this annular solar eclipse and all the other planetary alignments are deeply supportive of helping you create the life you are here to live and enjoy.

Has your intuition ever kept you out of harm’s way? Mine did last week. And it reminded me how powerful our inner wisdom really is.
The Power of Intuition and Mindset Shifts
Today, I want to share two recent experiences. One is about a powerful mindset shift that surprised me. The other is about an intuitive message that quite possibly kept me from being injured.
Both are examples of what I call Midlife Magic. Using energy, mindset, spiritual tools, and intuition to move through life with awareness and choice.
There are certainly days when things don’t go my way. I’m not floating through life pretending everything is perfect. But even on hard days, I consciously choose how I respond. I process what I feel, and then I look for a perspective that supports me instead of drains me.
That’s not spiritual bypassing. It’s intentional living.
Midlife Magic is available to anyone who chooses it. And midlife, by the way, is whatever age you decide it is. You’re in charge of that.
One of the gifts of this stage of life is wisdom. You’ve lived long enough to recognize patterns. You’ve made mistakes and learned from them. That wisdom shows up in small moments, in your ability to pause, to choose differently, to listen inward before reacting.
And that’s where today’s first story begins.
A Dubious Compliment
Last week I received a LinkedIn message from a man I don’t know. He told me my astonishing smile brightened his entire day. Oh, I’m sure it did.
If you’ve been online longer than five minutes, you know the pattern. Flattery. Vague admiration. A setup for something questionable.
There were so many ways I could have reacted. I could have been annoyed. Disgusted. I could have reported him. I could have spiraled into irritation and let it affect my entire mood.
Instead, I paused. And in that pause, I noticed something important. I didn’t actually want to experience any of those reactions. Yes, they were understandable. But I had another option.
A thought popped into my head that felt lighter and more empowering. What if I just take the compliment as if it came from the Universe instead of from him? Not the motive. Not the person. Just the compliment.
I deleted the message. But before I did, I allowed myself to imagine that my presence, my energy, my smile could brighten someone’s day. Whether he meant it sincerely was irrelevant. I chose to let that part be true for me. That’s Midlife Magic.
Choose Where Your Energy Goes
This isn’t about ignoring your feelings. First you feel and acknowledge them. Then you decide where your energy goes. This is a mindset shift.
I didn’t need to analyze his intention or let irritation hijack my nervous system. I decided to focus on the version of me who moves through the world with ease and sparkle instead of armor and suspicion. And that choice changed how I felt.
We all know how easy it is to spiral downward. One moment of yuck can drain your energy. Then you have to recover and that takes time and effort. But when you practice shifting perspective, you build a different pattern.
Interestingly, research supports this. Studies from the National Institutes of Health show that happiness isn’t something that randomly appears. It’s shaped by what we repeatedly focus on and value.
When you linger on a good moment, appreciate something small, or engage in something meaningful, you’re reinforcing neural pathways that make it easier to notice what’s working.
Over time, those tiny choices train your brain to default toward steadiness rather than stress.
And here’s the key: intuition becomes easier to hear when your nervous system feels safe and resourced. When you aren’t constantly frazzled, your inner voice gets clearer.
Be Open, But Discerning
A friend told me a story that beautifully illustrates this idea.
Her nephew once saw a woman on Instagram he found attractive. He sent her a direct message that simply said, “What’s up?” Yes. That was it.
The woman responded with, “Do I know you?” They started chatting and now they are happily married.
I’m not suggesting you respond to every random message. Not at all. Discernment matters and so does safety. Yet, sometimes opportunity arrives in unexpected packaging.
The lesson isn’t to always engage. It’s that you get to CHOOSE. You can stay open without abandoning your wisdom. You can be discerning without being closed.
Where in your life could you be just a little more open?
What has shown up recently that rubbed you the wrong way at first glance? And is there a silver lining you could take while leaving the rest behind? You don’t have to force positivity. You simply get to decide what something means to you. That’s real wisdom and power.
Now let me share the story about how my intuition kept me safe.
Intuitive Messages
There’s a door in my house that leads from the family room to the garage. The locking mechanism has been slightly off for months, so the door has to be slammed to close properly.
One freezing morning, after slamming it on my way out, I heard a calm inner voice say, “Look up.” There was no panic or fear. Just a quiet suggestion. So I turned around and looked up.
Above the door hangs a large, heavy horseshoe, one of my husband’s blacksmith treasures. The two nails holding it in place were sticking out nearly an inch. It was hanging at an angle and could easily have fallen on one of us.
If I hadn’t looked up, it very well might have. I immediately felt gratitude and said “Thank you” to the sender of that message. Later, my husband rehung it more securely. The crisis was averted.
That calm inner message is what intuition often feels like for me. Not dramatic or loud. Just clear.
This wasn’t the first time. Years ago, I heard an inner nudge to tell a barking dog, “I love you.” It sounded ridiculous. I almost ignored it. But I said it anyway. The dog stopped barking and never barked at me again.
Over time, I’ve noticed patterns like this. Warnings about people. Guidance about jobs. Alerts about small dangers like a candle rolling out of its holder and burning the table.
Ignoring Intuition Has Consequences
When I was younger, I ignored these intuitive nudges and suffered the consequences. Now I don’t. That’s part of the wisdom that comes with midlife. You recognize patterns and trust your track record. Then, you pay attention to the information received. And that deep well of inner knowing is always available.
Isn’t it time you accessed your inner wisdom and magic more deliberately?People who rely on their intuition have many advantages in life.
Start by setting an intention to notice your intuition. Then keep an evidence journal. Write down the nudges you followed, the ones you ignored, and the outcomes. Pay attention to the feelings in your body.
Tracking the evidence builds self-trust. It makes intuition feel real and reliable rather than vague or imaginary. Over time, those whispers stop feeling questionable and start feeling trustworthy.
That’s Midlife Magic. And the best news is that it’s already inside you!

Do you wonder about your past lives and how they might be impacting your life today? That’s what the Akashic Records are all about and my guest, Mary Madeiras explains everything beautifully.
Mary is an Advanced Akashic Records Practitioner, author, and three-time Emmy award-winning television director. Yes, that combination is as interesting as it sounds. Her background provides a rare way of translating big spiritual ideas into language that makes sense.
What Are the Akashic Records?
Mary explains the Akashic Records in a way that people immediately get. They’re not some distant cosmic filing system reserved for mystics. The Records are a source of insight connected to your soul and higher awareness. Everything you have done in the past, are doing today, and possibly may do in the future can be found in one place.
Don’t go to the Akashic Records to collect past-life trivia or dramatic stories to entertain yourself. This information or resource is meant for understanding patterns, gaining clarity on issues happening now, and most of all, remembering who you are.
What surprises many people is how practical working with the Records can be. Clear answers are often found about questions regarding relationships, work, creativity, or your direction in life. These are all ideal queries for the Akashic Library.
For Mary, accessing the Records feels less like a solemn ritual. Her experience shows up more like stepping into a curious, open conversation with a wiser part of herself. She’s encountered many wonderful revelations for her clients as well.
How the Records Appear
People often expect the Akashic Records to appear as a grand inner vision. You might see an ancient massive library filled with an endless sea of books. That image works beautifully for me and many others. However, Mary’s experience is very different. In fact, she doesn’t see a library at all.
Instead, the information she receives comes through as a strong sense of knowing. Mary calls these impressions quantum visuals, meaning they aren’t pictures so much as complete ideas that arrive fully formed. Imagine a block of information downloading to your intuitive brain.
Officially, this is called claircognizance or knowing. Mary doesn’t access her imagination or memory. The knowledge appears clear and direct in her mind, like it was brought there all at once.
Over time, Mary learned to trust her intuition. She uses all of the “clairs” including listening, sensing, feeling, and knowing. This broader intuitive process allows the records to communicate in whatever way works best for each practitioner.
It’s a relief for many people to hear that there’s no single right way to work with the Akashic. You don’t need dramatic inner movies or to hear voices to do this intuitive work. The message always matters more than the method of delivery.
Past Lives Without the Drama
The Akashic Records can reveal past lives, but not always the way you might expect. These stories aren’t about the details of a life, but more about context. Past-life information tends to surface when it helps explain something puzzling that’s happening now.
Clients can learn about roles they once held, themes that keep repeating, or relationships that feel strangely familiar. I asked Mary if it was like the soap operas and we laughed! However, the valuable insights aren’t in the story itself. The information helps people understand their current choices, fears, and strengths.
When viewed this way, past lives stop feeling abstract or like a curiosity. Your previous incarnations become a tool for insight, healing, and personal growth.
Get the Ego Out of the Way
One of the most important parts of Mary’s work is learning how to step aside mentally and emotionally. She does this by consciously setting her ego aside before opening the records. Imagine that she tells her ego to take a seat in the corner and be quiet.
This matters because opinions, assumptions, and personal filters can easily distort intuitive information. By releasing the need to interpret or judge what comes through, Mary allows the guidance to remain clear. She becomes temporarily incapable of having an opinion during sessions, which is exactly what makes the information so valuable for clients.
Fascinating Past Life Stories
Some of the most memorable moments in Mary’s work come from retelling clues from the Records. One client who is an artist, had visited France and would always cry as she was leaving. She couldn’t understand what this was about.
Through the Records, Mary discovered a past life in which the client had been apprenticed to a lesser-known painter, who she worked for and then married. She would finish his work for him as part of her job.
What made the experience powerful was that it tied her travel to France with being an artist in this life. After doing some research, she figured out which painter she’d been married to. The Akashic reminded her of something old and familiar and connected them to make more sense.
The Records Are Within
One of Mary’s core teachings is that the Akashic Records are within you. You’re not separate from them, and the information isn’t hidden behind spiritual barriers. Turns out all of this data is part of your own energetic makeup.
Across cultures and time periods, different traditions have pointed to this same idea. Edgar Cayce spoke about the records. The Bible refer to a Book of Life. Modern physics talks about fields of information and possibility. These are different languages, but all the same concept. Everything is connected, and your lessons are never truly lost.
When you see the Akashic Records this way, they stop feeling mysterious or unreachable. They become something you can trust and access in your own way.
A Lighter Way
As our conversation came to a close, Mary shared a message that felt especially important and reassuring. Despite how chaotic the world seems right now, you are likely doing better than you think. There’s a tendency to believe you need fixing or that you are missing something essential. The records consistently suggest otherwise.
Mary encourages people to notice what brings ease and enjoyment into their daily lives. Small moments of pleasure matter. Laughter matters. Feeling connected matters as well as doing what you love. These aren’t distractions from spiritual growth – they’re a big part of it!
Live With Curiosity and Trust
live with curiosity and trust
The purpose of exploring the Akashic Records is to better understand your life and the lessons you’re learning. When you approach your personal development and spiritual growth with curiosity, your own insights and choices become easier. Decisions feel less pressurized.
Mary’s work reminds you that wisdom doesn’t have to be heavy or dramatic. Sometimes it’s simple and even fun. Often, it’s waiting for you to stop striving and take the time to simply listen.

Reaching the age of 50 isn’t when the magic fades, but when you encounter the midlife magic and inner wisdom that brings you greater peace and joy. Those small signs, strange coincidences, and odd little nudges you’ve been noticing are life trying to get your attention!
Slow Down to See the Magic
This is something I’ve been noticing more and more, both in my own life and in conversations with women like you. It’s subtle and often hard to name, yet once you begin to sense it, something shifts. Life starts to feel a little easier, more exciting, and unexpectedly richer.
Midlife carries a particular kind of magic. Not the dramatic kind, but something subtle and more alive. A kind of magic that doesn’t announce itself loudly. Instead, it becomes visible when you slow down enough to notice what may have been present all along, waiting for your attention.
For many women, this stage of life arrives with mixed feelings. On the surface, things are fine. You’re functioning, capable, and holding things together. Yet underneath, you might notice a low hum of restlessness. Friends have moved away. If you have children, maybe they’ve left home. Days can feel repetitive. Nothing is wrong, but something feels off.
You may find yourself wondering if this is really all there is.
That feeling doesn’t mean something has gone wrong. In fact, it may be a signal that something deeper is ready to emerge.
The Subtle Shift in Midlife
By the time you reach midlife, you’ve already lived a rich stretch of life. You’ve loved, adapted, endured, learned, and carried responsibility in countless visible and invisible ways. Even if you don’t always recognize it as wisdom, there is a depth of knowing that comes from navigating real experience over time.
This is often the moment that quiet sense of blah surfaces, not as a failure, but as a signal that something deeper is ready to emerge.
For many women, an internal shift begins to unfold. The constant drive to prove, push, or keep up starts to loosen its grip. You may care a little less about what others think. The outer noise dims just enough for you to sense something more subtle moving underneath it.
What emerges is a different kind of awareness. A willingness to listen more closely to what’s happening around you and within you. There may be a growing curiosity about what feels meaningful now, rather than what once felt necessary or expected.
Midlife doesn’t arrive with a clear announcement. It creeps in gradually, and then one day you realize you’re standing in a new phase. Yes, it may come with a few gray hairs, but it also brings the possibility of greater discernment, honesty with yourself, and a deeper connection to what truly matters.
This stage of life naturally invites reflection and a slower, more intentional way of listening. You may find yourself relying less on figuring everything out and more on presence, patience, and awareness.
Becoming the Wise Woman
This is why I call you wise women, even if you don’t fully identify with that name yet.
Wisdom isn’t about accumulating more information. It’s about recognizing and sensing what’s essential. You begin to trust what you’ve learned through experience and more of that can be cultivated over time.
By midlife, your knowledge has had time to mature into meaningful insight. Your sense of inner authority may be emerging, even if you still look to others out of habit. With greater awareness and reflection, you may notice how your timing, decisions, and attention shape your life in more intuitive ways.
The wise woman moves through life with discernment. She understands that clarity doesn’t always come through effort or logic alone, but through attention and reflection. This way of living can be strengthened with practice, support, and guidance.
Even if you’re not fully living this way yet, you may already sense it’s possible. That knowing is important. It means the door is open.
What Magic Looks Like
When I talk about midlife magic, I’m talking about perception. The ability to notice underlying messages from your inner wisdom, higher self, or spirit.
Magic lives in awareness. It shows up as moments of resonance, gentle guidance, and the feeling that life is quietly responding to you. You may notice synchronicities appearing more often, beauty landing more deeply, or intuition speaking more clearly.
As internal noise quiets and striving eases, space opens. Your perception sharpens because you’re available to notice more. This connection doesn’t need to be summoned. It reveals itself naturally as you move through your day with openness and attention.
One of the most reliable ways this magic appears is through beauty.
Beauty that arises naturally and catches your attention. Light filtering through trees. Firelight flickering across a room. Snow falling into stillness. These moments slow you down and bring you into your body. They remind you that life is still offering meaning in quiet, accessible ways.
This is why I spend time in my garden. Sitting near my zinnias, bordered by wild, unclaimed land, I feel connected to something larger. Over time, this practice has become a place of grounding, insight, and presence. The wisdom of the natural world has taught me that when we slow down and listen, guidance arrives.
Synchronicity as Conversation
Another way midlife magic reveals itself is through synchronicity. A book appears at the right moment. A thought is echoed by an unexpected phone call. A message arrives just when it’s needed.
These moments can feel like a conversation with the Universe itself. A sense that something unseen is responding to your questions or intentions.
I’ve experienced this many times, including during my years as a dating coach when a simple affirmation about writing for a women’s magazine turned into a four-year column through an unexpected conversation. This was no coincidence but an amazing response from the Universe.
Even if you’re not fully living as a wise woman yet, you can learn to notice these moments. A wise woman pays attention, reflects, and allows meaning to unfold.
The Return of Aliveness
Here’s what feels important to say. The easing that comes in midlife isn’t due to a loss of vitality. Midlife can be a powerful time of trusting what you know and honoring the wisdom you’ve earned, while continuing to grow into deeper connection and awareness.
When you begin to tune in this way, joy becomes less frantic and more luminous. Life feels responsive. Meaning expands.
You don’t need to chase this magic. You simply need to notice where life already feels alive and engaged. Midlife isn’t a narrowing of life. It’s an opening into a more intimate relationship with yourself, with life, and with something greater.
Something ancient and luminous is stirring within you now. As you slow down and pay attention, life begins to respond. This is where your magic lives — and it is only just beginning. It’s time to celebrate your wisdom and open to your midlife magic!

Today, I’m talking about the element of fire. This is the third episode in my series on the elements. Last fall, I explored water and wind, what they represent and how to work with them in everyday life.
The Element of Fire
When I say fire, I mean the flames that warm you, cook your food, clear land, and forge metal. Fire is one of the few elements that feels instantly familiar and deeply mysterious at the same time.
You’ve sat in front of a fire and felt its heat. You’ve probably stared into the flames and lost track of time, almost like a meditation. That alone tells you something important.
For thousands of years, fire has been far more than a tool. It has been treated as a presence, revered as a teacher, and even honored as a deity. Across cultures, fire has been seen as a messenger between worlds, a force that connects the visible and invisible.
In classical and esoteric traditions, fire is one of the four primary elements, alongside earth, water, and air. It’s associated with energy, passion, illumination, will, creation, destruction, and transformation.
More than anything, fire is the element that changes things. Everything that touches fire is altered, and there is no undo button when it comes to flames.
That’s exactly why mystics, shamans, and alchemists paid such close attention to it.
When I talk about fire as a spiritual element, I’m talking about a force that burns away what no longer serves, illuminates what’s been hidden, and initiates transformation at a deep level. Fire is never subtle.
Fire Across Time and Tradition
If you look back through history, fire appears everywhere people were trying to understand life, death, and the unseen world.
In ancient Greece, fire was considered a divine substance, famously stolen from the gods by Prometheus and given to humanity. That myth alone tells you how powerful fire was perceived to be. Fire wasn’t just heat, it was consciousness, creativity, and civilization itself.
In Vedic and yogic traditions, the fire element is called tejas. Tejas represents inner radiance, metabolic energy, and illumination. It’s linked not only to digestion of food, but to digestion of experience, what you can process, integrate, and turn into wisdom.
In Chinese philosophy, fire is one of five elements and is associated with the heart, joy, vitality, and spirit. When fire is balanced, there’s warmth and enthusiasm for life. When it’s excessive or depleted, it shows up as burnout, agitation, or a coldness of spirit.
Celtic traditions placed fire at the center of seasonal festivals like Beltane and Samhain. Bonfires marked thresholds between worlds, protected communities, and ushered in new cycles. Fire was symbolic and practical.
And in homes across the world, the hearth fire was the literal and energetic center of life. It’s where food was prepared, stories were told, and decisions were made. The hearth was both sacred and ordinary.
When we work with fire today, we’re stepping into one of the oldest relationships humans have ever had with an element that could both sustain and destroy them. Fire demands respect and doesn’t negotiate. In return, it offers truth by stripping away illusion and getting to the core.
Builder, Destroyer, and Catalyst for Change
One of the most important things to understand about fire is its dual nature. Fire is both a builder and a destroyer.
People usually think of fire’s destructive qualities, but destruction is not inherently bad. Fire clears old growth in the forest, so new life can emerge. It purifies, resets, and creates space.
In alchemy and mysticism, this dual role is essential. Fire breaks structures down to their core components. From that essential place, something new can be formed.
This mirrors an inner process many people experience, especially in midlife and beyond. There’s often a moment when what used to work no longer does. Old identities might feel restrictive and old patterns can feel exhausting. Maybe there’s an inner fire saying, “This cannot continue.”
That inner fire isn’t trying to make you uncomfortable, but working to realign you. Fire doesn’t consider your comfort zone as it eliminates illusion to reveal the truth.
Fire and Spiritual Alchemy
In spiritual alchemy, fire is the heat that refines raw material into something clearer and more potent. Alchemists weren’t just trying to turn lead into gold. They were working to transform fear, emotion, and confusion into insight and clarity. That doesn’t happen without heat.
Fire has long been described as a bearer of information, a force that accelerates transformation and amplifies subtle energy. In yogic and Buddhist traditions, balanced inner fire is linked with clear perception and intuitive awareness. You see more clearly. You digest experience instead of storing it as emotional baggage.
This is why working with fire can feel clarifying and, at times, uncomfortable. Fire asks simple but powerful questions such as:
What’s ready to be released?
What truth is trying to surface?
What no longer fits?
If you’ve ever sat in front of a candle and had an unexpected realization, you already know how fire speaks.
The Hearth and Everyday Alchemy
For most of human history, the hearth fire represented safety, nourishment, and belonging. In Greek tradition, Hestia was the goddess of the hearth, embodying stillness and presence. In Irish tradition, Brigid carried the triple flame of hearth, forge, and inspiration, overseeing care, craft, and creativity.
Cooking over fire is everyday alchemy. Raw ingredients are transformed into nourishment through heat, time, and attention. When you cook with awareness or light a candle with intention, you’re already working with fire as an ally.
Fire for Manifesting and Divining
Fire has also long been used for manifestation and divination. It creates momentum – just think of how a fire spreads so rapidly. Fire also shifts things from one state to another, responding to clarity and sincerity, rather than force or desperation.
Across traditions, people burned symbols of what they wanted to release or manifest. Watching something physically transform signals completion to your nervous system. The flames help the body and psyche understand that a shift has occurred.
Fire has also been used for divination, especially using a candle. Observing how a flame moves, steadies, flares, or resists lighting has long been a way of engaging intuition. Fire helps you reflect on what’s already present rathern than telling you what to do.
One of the easiest ways to work with fire is by candle gazing, a practice found in yogic traditions called tratakah. Watching the flame steadies the mind, quiets mental chatter, and brings clarity.
Listen to the podcast to discover several simple fire practices in the podcast.
Message from the Element of Fire
Intuitively. I’ve connected with the element of fire. A couple of years ago, my friend Krista and I sat in front of a fire. Suddenly she suggested we should “talk to the fire.” I was surprised, and honestly delighted, when I actually heard something.
I had been told it takes years of training to speak with the elements. That’s no longer true. The energy on earth moves faster now. The veil is thinner. Many people have a higher vibration today.
What I heard from the fire was simple and unmistakable:
“I am powerful. I am destructive. I am creative. I am transformative. I am beautiful. I am warmth. I am dancing. I am passion.”
That sounds exactly like fire, doesn’t it?
Fire teaches through warmth and light, but also through endings and change. When you work with fire, you’re can’t control it. You’re partnering with a force that knows how to transform everything it touches. You listen, respect, and collaborate.
Sometimes, that’s exactly the kind of magic you need.

What does abracadabra mean? You’ve heard magicians in tuxedos say it, as well as children with magic wands. Maybe even in a Disney movie!
It feels magical even if you’ve never stopped to ask why. It’s playful, mysterious, and seems to appear at the exact moment something changes.
Today, I’m not talking about stage tricks or fairy tales. This is an invitation to reclaim the magic in words. Abracadabra was meant to heal and to shift energy, and offers a powerful doorway back to something ancient and surprisingly scientific.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in the same mental loop, repeating the same old stories about yourself no matter how much inner work you’ve done, this is for you.
The Magical Power of Your Words
The words you speak shape your brain, your nervous system, and the life you quietly create every day. This is actually ancient and ties to the secret history of abracadabra.
If you could travel back to the Roman Empire in the second century and told someone you were sick, they might prescribe something unexpected: Abracadabra – a word-based or spoken medicine.
That’s when the earliest written record of abracadabra appears in a Roman medical text called Liber Medicinalis, written by a physician named Quintus Serenus Sammonicus.
His instructions were precise. Write the word ABRACADABRA on parchment or metal. Then write it again below, removing the last letter. Continue line by line until only the letter “A” remains.
The finished inverted triangle would be worn on a string around the neck, and was suggested for someone suffering from a fever. As the word diminished, letter by letter, the illness was believed to fade out too.
Images of reconstructed abracadabra amulets still exist today and are physical evidence that words were once understood as active forces, rather than passive communication.
What Does Abracadabra Mean?
There isn’t one agreed upon translation, which is common with magical words. Many scholars trace it to Aramaic, a language closely related to ancient Hebrew, with meanings along the lines of “I create as I speak” or “it will be created in my words.”
Others interpret the word as “let the thing be destroyed,” which fits the idea of illness shrinking away. There are also connections to Hebrew blessing traditions and to a Gnostic figure named Abraxas.
You don’t need a perfect translation to grasp the shared belief underneath the theories. Saying something with intention, was believed to create change. Words shaped reality.
A Form of Protection
Between the third and seventh centuries, abracadabra also became a form of protection against misfortune and unseen forces. It was spoken, worn, and traced as a spiritual shield. Breath and sound were the tools.
So when a magician says “abracadabra” before a big reveal, they’re unknowingly echoing an ancient understanding. The moment you speak is the moment something shifts. Words are spells, in the past and still today.
Ancient cultures all over the world shared this concept. Mesopotamian incantations were used to drive out illness. Egyptian healers combined herbs with spoken formulas. Biblical traditions delivered blessings and curses through speech.
To the ancient mind, words were a force. Name something and you gained power over it. Speak a blessing and you invited it closer.
Today witches may talk of spells but the vast majority of the population doesn’t go there. However, it does show up and is acceptable when discussing neuroscience, psychology, and neural pathways. The actual mechanism is quite similar.
See, the stories you repeat to yourself like, “I always mess things up,” “nothing ever works out,” or “I’m too old,” act like incantations. The charm is created through your own voice, and the impact is on your nervous system.
Unfortunately, this type of mantra spoken unconsciously and without intentional crafting, can backfire, and could even prevent growth or improvement.
After more than twenty years working with intuition and mindset, I’ve seen this pattern again and again. Change often doesn’t happen until awareness and usage of the language changes.
The Neuroscience of Self-Talk
Modern psychology has studied self-talk extensively. Self-talk includes the running commentary in your head and the sentences you speak about yourself and your life.
Supportive, positive self-talk is consistently linked to lower anxiety, better coping skills, and greater resilience. Harsh, critical self-talk is linked to higher stress, increased worry, and decreased performance.
On a brain level, negative language activates threat centers like the amygdala, while balanced, compassionate self-talk engages the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for regulation and problem-solving.
A fascinating 2024 study from the NIH explored what happens when people hear affirming statements spoken in their own voice. Turns out hearing your own voice activates brain regions tied to identity and personal meaning more strongly than listening to someone else’s voice.
This helps explain why a single kind sentence you say to yourself can calm your body, while a harsh one can feel crushing. When you speak to yourself, your brain treats it as deeply personal.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change with experience. Every thought or phrase you repeat creates a pathway. Repeat it often enough and that pathway becomes easier to access.
Negative Inner Dialogue
If your inner dialogue constantly says, “I’m stuck” or “nothing changes,” you’re reinforcing that route. When you begin practicing language like, “I’m learning” or “I’m allowed to begin again,” you start forging new trails. At first this might feel uncomfortable, but over time, the brain learns to favor them.
In other words, the magic words you repeat most often becomes your reality. That’s everyday abracadabra isn’t it?
Language affects your inner world and shapes how you perceive and interact with others. The brain loves consistency. It filters information to match the story you tell yourself or others.
That’s how a belief becomes self-fulfilling, not because the universe is against you, but because your nervous system wants coherence.
I’m not suggesting any kind of by passing, ignoring reality, or your feelings. However, you can acknowledge reality and still choose language that leaves room for growth.
Examples include: “This is hard and I’m learning how to handle it.” “This hurts and I’m allowed to receive support.” “This didn’t go how I wanted and I’m still worthy of good things.”
A Powerful Use of Words
These thoughts or phrasses are still like “abracadabra” because they are a powerful use of words. Ancient healers didn’t deny pain or discomfort. They combined practical care with ritual and language and you can do the same.
Abracadabra, in its most empowering interpretation, means “I create as I speak.” Every time you describe who you are or want to become, your brain responds and so does the Universe. Possibilities open or close based on the language you choose.
Listen to the podcast for the visualization I created to leverage Abracadabra and this idea of diminishing letter by letter to change a situation which updates your inner operating system.
As you move through your day, notice how you talk about yourself. You don’t need to monitor every word. Just become curious about the ones that feel heavy or limiting.
Then, gently replace them with language that aligns with the life you want to create. This is modern magic, neuroplasticity, and a daily practice, all in one exercise . Abracadabra and there you go!

Did you ever get a big, bold sign you didn’t request and had no idea what it meant? Such a sign can help you make a good decision.
I’ve Never Seen Anything Like This
A hawk slammed into my sliding glass door, holding a woodpecker in its talons. They struggled and tore the screen. I was so disturbed that I banged on the door to make it stop.
The hawk flew onto the deck, prey in its grip, sitting there as the life drained out of the woodpecker. I stood there stunned, asking myself, what could this possibly mean?
The Background
Before getting into the symbolism, it helps to know where I was emotionally that day. I had been deep in the process of reworking my branding for the past couple of months, which capped off a long 14 months of rethinking what I offer and who I’m best positioned to help.
There’s no single “right” answer when it comes to branding, but I desperately didn’t want to get it wrong. That fear led to a kind of freeze with overthinking and no forward movement.
Ironically, that same morning I finally made a decision. By the afternoon, I was relaxing for the first time in a while, reading, when the commotion outside my glass door happened. I wasn’t looking for a sign, which made it all the more unsettling.
The Backstory
To understand what I witnessed and why, I first looked inward. The message that came through was clear. “The time for struggle and indecision was over. It was time to rise above, take action, and engage.” Later, I looked up the symbolism.
The woodpecker is often associated with persistence and attention to detail. Birds of prey, like hawks, represent vision, decisiveness, and the ability to see the bigger picture. Hawks are also widely seen as messengers from spirit and intuition.
When these two show up together, the message becomes hard to miss. For me, this was a dramatic signal that I was entering a new phase. One of transformation and divine timing. Stop getting lost in the details. See the bigger picture. Move on.
That hit home. I had been lost in the details. From a logical standpoint, I was asking all the “right” questions. Would people resonate with my work? Was I making a smart business decision? Did this align with my skills and solve real problems for clients?
When Logic Is a Dead End
From an intuitive perspective, the questions were different. Does this feel aligned with my highest good? Does the energy feel expansive? Does it make me happy?
Logic is useful, especially in business. Lists of pros and cons have their place. But at some point, logic had taken me as far as it could. What I needed next was inner knowing.
Turns out branding is more of an art than a science and it left me feeling raw and vulnerable.
The key realization was there’s a big difference between strategic branding and energetic alignment. Logic had led me to a dead end. Now intuition needed to take the lead.
That morning, I finally listened. I made a choice that felt right in my body. And then, just hours later, the hawk and woodpecker appeared.
As a sign, I will absolutely pay attention. The message was clear. Get out of my head. Stop circling the details. Focus on the big picture. Trust how things feel in my body. Then act.
This is how intuition speaks to me when I stop forcing answers. Sometimes gently and other times dramatically. Either way, it gets my attention. And this is a perfect example of how magic shows up too.
My advice as an Intuitive Life Coach is simple…
When you see a sign, pay attention. Reflect on
what it means to you, and then follow through.
How Intuition Shows Up
There are actually many ways intuition shows up. Some people receive visual images (clairvoyance). Others hear inner guidance (clairaudience). Some just know without explanation (claircognizance). Still others, receive information through the feelings in the body (clairsentience).
These are all valid. Over time, I’ve learned to use and trust all of them. But connecting with my body is relatively new and it’s been fascinating.
That body-based intuition showed up again recently in a much more ordinary situation. I need a new couch after my last purchase wore out shockingly fast. I visited a couple of higher-end furniture stores and found beautiful options with big price tags.
Then I found a similar couch at a mid-range store for half the price. Logical choice, right? I called a friend with high-end design experience. She agreed the construction and materials were solid so thought it was OK to buy the cheaper one. I was so relieved!
My Body Reacted
But when I went back to return the fabric samples at the high-end store, they placed the fabric on the couch one more time. My body reacted instantly as my shoulders relaxed. I took a deep breath and felt calm and comfortable. That was my answer!
Logically, the cheaper couch made sense. Intuitively, my body told a different story. I trusted it.
This kind of inner knowing doesn’t just apply to big decisions or purchases. It can show up in very personal, physical ways too.
Another Clairsentience Example
Just before the holidays, I woke up one morning with a frozen shoulder which means severe pain and almost no movement. I tried chiropractic care and acupuncture, with slight improvement. On the fifth day, I heard a single word internally: magnesium.
I took supplements and then soaked in an Epsom salt bath. Within an hour, I could move my arm. Two days later, I was fully healed. Again, my body had the information. I just had to listen. And that’s really the heart of this conversation.
Where do you get stuck when making decisions? Have you exhausted logic and analysis? Have you ignored signs or overridden what your body was telling you?
Decision Making
At the end of the day, decision making isn’t about finding the perfect answer. It’s about being honest with yourself, especially when logic has done all it can. There are times when further analysis will not produce a result. That’s when it’s time to start listening.
Sometimes intuition whispers. Other times it shows up loudly like a hawk slamming into your window. When something truly feels right, your system relaxes. Your breath deepens. The struggle eases. That’s how you know.
This is not because it makes sense on paper, but because something inside you calms down. When that happens, the decision is already made. Your only job is to honor it.
Awaken Your Sixth Sense
If you want to strengthen your intuitive awareness this year, I have a self-paced program called Awaken Your Sixth Sense, designed to help you recognize and trust how intuition speaks to you. It has seven lessons with lots of methods, tips and experiences, so you can build your intuition and start to trust it more.
And maybe that’s the real invitation. It’s time to practice listening to your inner knowing, and trusting it. That’s how to live aligned with your highest path and your soul.

The latest episode of the Breathe Love & Magic Podcast explores Liberation Magic. We talk about magic and manifestation, and how it can genuinely shift your life. It’s time to move beyond rules and “doing it right” to reconnect with your spiritual core.
This conversation with Maritza Schafer, founder of Bruja School, is one of those grounding and warm reminders that magic isn’t something you learn, but something you remember.
Manifesting Myth Trips People Up
Have you ever been told that you’re “not manifesting correctly,” and that’s why what you want hasn’t shown up yet?
What a horrible and discouraging message which could make you want to give up entirely. I remember when someone said it to me!
That’s why Maritza offers Liberation Magic — a way of working with magic that frees you from the metaphysical industry’s criticism, rules, and the idea that you’re somehow doing it wrong. Liberation magic invites you to return to your intuition, your energy, and your deeper spiritual truth.
When things aren’t moving in your life, it’s rarely because you’re broken or incapable. More often, it’s because we’ve been trying to create from the surface instead of from connection. Liberation magic asks you to slow down, drop beneath the noise, and listen for the wisdom that’s already guiding you.
Magic – Technology for Transformation
So what is magic, really? Maritza describes it beautifully as “a technology for transformation.” It’s a collection of tools, practices, and spiritual intentions that help shift what feels stuck and invites something new to emerge.
Magic is far more than passive wishing. It’s intentional, soulful participation with life’s energy!
When you merge a spiritual component with your intentions, something softens and opens. The process doesn’t feel heavy or forced. Your desires have a way of coming into being because they’re rooted in alignment, not effort alone.
Think of it as learning to see your life through a spiritual lens where intention matters, energy matters, and presence itself becomes powerful.
Mystical Garlic Planting
I told a story about using magic when I planted my garlic this fall. Right from the start,
When I planted the garlic, I didn’t just push cloves into the soil, fertilize, water, and walk away. I planted at twilight — that quiet, liminal space between day and night, when the veil feels thinner.
Then, I connected with the land and greeted the spirits and elemental forces. Next, I offered gratitude and asked to collaborate with them as the garden begins it’s cycle of growth again.
The reason is not because someone told me that’s how it’s done or good to do. This is how I live when I’m tuned into nature. As I listen to spirit and connect with my own inner knowing, everything comes alive.
And that’s the heart of liberation magic – where magic and manifestation meet. It’s not dones as a technique, but as a connection to spirit and life itself.
Magic as a Way of Life
Magic isn’t only something you use when you want something to change. It can be how you move through the world.
Maritza encourages her students to deepen their awareness of the moment they’re in — the energy, the land, the subtle signals that are always communicating with us.
That might look like ritual or meditation. You might simply notice your breath while you’re standing at the sink or looking out a window.
When spirituality becomes woven into daily life, you begin to move with the rhythms of the earth instead of against them. Challenges don’t disappear, but your relationship to them changes. You meet life with more grace, more steadiness, and more trust.
Remember the Magic
Many people are drawn to magic because something feels missing. Maritza about this clearly —longing is often a call back to spiritual connection that’s been overshadowed by responsibility, expectation, and noise.
As you reconnect, you remember something essential. You are not separate from spirit, but part of it. Remembering brings a deep sense of belonging and the awareness that you are a magical being with access to far more wisdom than you might imagine.
Let Go of “Should” and Find What’s True
One of the most liberating aspects of Maritza’s work is releasing the burden of expectation. There is no single right way to practice magic. No gold star for doing it perfectly. No spiritual hierarchy. Your path is sacred because it’s your own.
When students let go of comparison and external judgment, they often feel an enormous sense of relief. Magic becomes about self-discovery instead of performance. Confidence grows naturally when you stop trying to meet someone else’s definition of spiritual correctness.
Walking Your Own Spiritual Path
Liberation magic doesn’t require elaborate rituals or rigid structures. It asks for awareness. By understanding your energy and setting intention with presence, magic can move through your everyday life — in conversations, decisions, and quiet moments of choice.
One of the greatest gifts of a spiritual path is realizing that the power you’ve been seeking has been with you all along. Each step taken with awareness makes the next one clearer, lighter, and more enchanted.
Energy Awareness as a Path to Freedom
At the heart of liberation magic is energetic awareness. When you learn to notice energy, both yours and the space around you, you gain the power to choose. Simple practices like pausing, breathing, and checking in with yourself can shift everything.
Imagine a stressful moment. Now, instead of reacting, you can simply stop, breathe, and notice what’s present. That awareness alone can move you from chaos into calm, from contraction into clarity.
Living an Empowered, Magical Life
Ultimately, liberation magic is about feeling empowered. It strengthens your spiritual connection and reminds you of your place within the larger web of life. From that place, change becomes possible through alignment.
Magic isn’t something you do once in a while. As Maritza so beautifully teaches, it’s a way of living. You trust your gut, cut through the noise, and allow life to work with you instead of against you.
Honestly, that’s the kind of magic I want for everyone.

The post The Extraordinary Way Magic Can Free Up Your Life appeared first on Intuitive Edge.
If you’ve been scrolling lately, you’ve probably noticed lots of comet chatter about 3I/ATLAS. What’s all the bruhaha about and what does it mean for you? I’ll cut through the cosmic fluff and make this simple.
If you want to attend the Free Winter Solstice event on Sunday, 12/21 at 4pm ET, RSVP here to let me know.
What Is 3I/ATLAS?
Let’s start with the basics. 3I/ATLAS is an interstellar comet, meaning it’s not from our solar system. It’s a cosmic traveler cruising at over 100,000 miles an hour.
It will make its closest approach to Earth around December 19, 2025, which means around 170 million miles away. So yes, it’s rare and worth paying attention to. But physically? You’re fine. Humanity is fine. The planet is fine.
Now spiritually… this is where things get interesting.
People Are Lit Up About This Comet
Astronomers love it because it’s only our third known interstellar visitor after ‘Oumuamua and Borisov. But the spiritual community is lit up because of the timing, the symbolism, and the energetic ripples many intuitives are already feeling.
Channelers are comparing notes. Astrologers are cross-referencing charts. Energy sensitives have that familiar “something’s shifting” hum inside their chest.
Think of 3I/ATLAS as a celestial tuning fork drifting through our sky, humming just enough that the sensitive folks among us feel the vibration before it even arrives.
Many spiritual teachers call it a light-packed traveler carrying clarity, recalibration, and what some describe as “reset frequency.” Not in a dramatic destruction way, but in a gentle, rebalancing way. Think of it as the energetic version of straightening your crown and realigning your inner compass.
It’s as if the Universe is whispering, “Time to recalibrate.”
What Does the Comet Offer?
Potentially, so many good things come with this comet including, an inner reset, energetic balance, heightened intuition, a return to your aligned Self, and all sorts of positive upgrades in how you sense and navigate the world.
The most important point, in my opinion? Nothing is happening to you because you’re not a victim of 3I/ATLAS. Instead, you’re being invited to partner with it.
Symbolic Meaning Hidden in the Name
Now let’s discuss the metaphysics for a moment because “3I/ATLAS” is full of symbolic goodies.
According to numerology, “3” is about creation. think of the cycle of birth, death, rebirth. It’s the number that says something new is coming. Then the letter “I” points to intuition, identity, insight, and the observing Self.
Put these together and you get creation plus consciousness. A cosmic reminder that you are not a passive passenger in your own life. You’re a co-creator!
What about “3rd Eye + Atlas”
The third eye is your intuitive center, your inner vision, your ability to sense truth without proof.
Atlas is the top vertebra that holds your head, the mythological guardian who carried the world, and the name we give to global maps.
Suddenly 3I/ATLAS becomes a message about higher perception, energetic support, nervous-system alignment, and carrying a new level of awareness in the body. That’s the kind of upgrade I can get behind.
Why the Timing Matters
Astronomically, the closest approach is December 19, 2025. Spiritually, many view the full 12/18–12/19 window as an energetic corridor. It’s a moment when life pauses just long enough for you to feel the subtle shift before the next level loads.
And let’s not forget that 2025 is a nine year according to numerology, which is all about completion. Things naturally fall away, resolve, or wrap up. So the timing of this comet is pretty synchronistic, don’t you think?
How Might 3I/ATLAS Affect You?
• Clearer intuition
• Emotional clearing
• Heightened sensitivity
• A desire to rest
• Sudden clarity about what’s ending
• Fresh inspiration
This comet is giving you time to ask yourself important questions such as:
“Are your actions matching your intentions?”
“Are you living as the person you say you want to be?”
“What truth are you finally ready to honor?”
The good news is there’s no judgment or no punishment, only clarity.
Balance Masculine & Feminine Energy
Another theme connected to 3I/ATLAS is the balancing of masculine and feminine energy, which are the divine polarities within you. Think of these opposites:
• Drive and receptivity
• Action and restoration
• Doing and being
• Protecting and allowing
• Structure and flow
When one side dominates, imbalance shows up in your body, your choices, your relationships. The comet’s energy highlights what needs attention, like sunlight revealing dust on the bookshelf you swear was clean yesterday.
Now don’t think 3I/ATLAS will do the shift for you, but it helps you see where the shift is ready and waiting. It shines clarifying light into your world, so you can make the upgrade and let your divine feminine rise.
How to Work With the 12/18 Portal
The practices don’t need to be dramatic or ceremonial. Let them be simple:
1. Conduct a gentle review of the past year and ask: What is ending? What no longer resonates? What feels ready to be reborn?
2. Balance your masculine and feminine. When you take action, then be sure to rest. If you move, then afterwards stretch. Honor both your fire and your flow.
3. Third-eye alignment. You might try light meditation, intuitive journaling, or placing one hand on your heart and the other on your belly, while breathing slowly.
4. Neck and Atlas stretches. Consider chin tucks, shoulder rolls, gentle neck tilts.
Tell your body, “I’m ready to carry awareness with ease.” or “Thank you for all that you do for me, I love you.”
5. Grounding. Take a slow walk outside in nature and pay attentionto your surroundings. Send roots down into the earth to connect with Mother Earth and everything she embodies. Then allow that energy to rise into you feet and up through all your chakras. So nourishing!
What’s the Real Message of 3I/ATLAS
Here’s the bottom line. There’s no dramatic upheaval coming. Instead, this comet acts as a reminder to say you’re evolving, awakening, and rebalancing. And the good news is that the Universe is supporting every step.
Think of this event as a powerful invitation to trust and strengthen your intuition, allow your divine feminine energy to rise and feel vibrantly alive and aligned. It’s a gentle guide with impeccable timing. Cosmic synchronicity at its finest.
As 3I/ATLAS moves through our sky on 12/18 and 12/19, take a moment to choose what this means for you. The power isn’t out there in the sky or anywhere outside yourself. It’s in you. It is you.
3I/ATLAS simply arrives at the perfect moment to help you remember your truth, your path, and your power. Are you ready to embrace what’s next? I sure hope so!

Have you dabbled in communication with animals? Even just for fun or out of curiosity? If so, you already know how surprising, heart-opening, and downright magical it can be. And if you haven’t tried it yet… buckle up. The possibilities for emotional healing — plus personal and spiritual growth — are honestly astonishing.
Animal Communciation
That’s exactly what I talked about with animal communicator Genie Joseph in this week’s whimsical episode of the Breathe Love & Magic podcast. Genie brought stories, wisdom, and humor to t he show. Our conversation was a reminder that animals are so much more than companions — they’re teachers, healers, guides, and sometimes even philosophers in furry bodies.
The Philosophical Rabbit
Genie started by sharing an enchanting story about her friend Paloma, an animal communicator in Switzerland. Paloma’s rabbit, Spot, was not your average carrot-crunching cutie. He had a giant personality.
According to Spot, he was a philosopher. And he had no problem telling Paloma that she simply wasn’t on his level. Apparently, he’d had a few human lives. At one point he literally said, “You’re not at my level. Go back and study.” Can you imagine being put down by a rabbit?
Each time Paloma returned, eager to collaborate, Spot sent her back to do more inner work. Only after she’d grown spiritually and emotionally did he finally agree to partner with her on writing a book.
This story cracked me up, but it also highlights something profound. Animals have rich inner worlds and unique perspectives. They’re funny, wise, stubborn, intuitive, and deeply aware, often far more than we give them credit for.
Wolfie Knew His Time Was Up
Next came the story that changed Genie’s life and honestly, it gave me chills. Her beloved cat, Wolfie, introduced her to the mystical world of animal communication.
Toward the end of his life, Genie was torn about what to do. The vet suggested euthanasia, but her heart wasn’t ready. She felt confused, guilty, and overwhelmed. This what people feel when you love an animal deeply and want to do right by them.
In a moment of desperation and tenderness, she asked Wolfie what he wanted and to her complete surprise, he answered. Wolfie telepathically communicated that he wanted to pass peacefully at home.
He provided the exact day and time he intended to leave his body which was between 3 and 5 AM. And just as he said, Wolfie passed at 3:30 AM.
This experience affirmed for Genie communication with animals was real. That moment became her turning point, the doorway that led her into a life long devotion to understanding and teaching intuitive animal communication. You might think of her as a pet psychic.
Everyday Wisdom from Animals
Wolfie’s guidance started earlier in as he helped Genie with everyday decisions, including her movie projects. If she wasn’t sure which script to choose, she’d spread them out on the floor. Wolfie would quietly wander over and plop himself on the one that ended up being the best choice. He was always right.
Eventually, Genie trusted him so much she referred to him as her “business partner.” Animals pick up your moods, your energy, your hesitations, andyour excitement. Sometimes they see the bigger picture long before humans do.
It makes you think, how many times has your pet has been trying to tell you something, but you just didn’t realize you were being guided?
Healing with Animal Therapy
Genie then shifted into the deeper purpose behind her work, which is emotional healing.
She shared the story of Oscar, a rescued dog with scars, missing teeth, and a heartbreaking past. Yet, despite everything he’d been through, Oscar became a powerful therapy partner for soldiers suffering from PTSD. That’s because Oscar had a rare gift.
He could sense the person in the room who was in the most pain. Not the loudest or the one with the biggest personality. Oscar sensed which person silently felt like they were at the end of their rope and were at the greatest risk of suicide.
He’d wander over, rest his head on their lap, and stay with them until their energy softened. Time after time, he found the soldier who needed him most. Genie watched veterans open emotionally, often for the first time in years. Oscar’s presence reached places that traditional therapy often couldn’t go where trauma hides.
Animals don’t judge. They don’t push, need you to “explain.” They simply see you and comfort you. Sometimes, that’s just what someone needs to begin healing.
Communication with Animals
One of the things Genie emphasized which I loved, is that animals have feelings and very real opinions. She shared the story of a horse who became cranky and withdrawn after being moved to a new barn. Nothing seemed physically wrong, but his behavior was off.
When Genie tuned in, she discovered he was upset because he used to spend all day with his companion, a female horse and not just the evenings. He missed the 24/7 connection with her.
Once his caretakers understood this, they changed his living situation and suddenly, the horse relaxed and returned to his bright, affectionate self. Sometimes the fix is emotional, not physical and the animal is just waiting for someone to ask what is needed.
Conversations with Animals Who Passed
Genie also talked about communicating with animals who have passed on. According to her, this can be even easier because they’re no longer limited by their bodies. The messages they send are often clearer, more detailed, and incredibly loving.
People who felt guilty about euthanasia decisions or worried they hadn’t done enough often found deep peace after hearing from their pet. These conversations helped them release burdens and understand their animals truly knew how loved they were.
It’s comforting to think that your pets still check in and are available to offer guidance from the other side.
Marvels of Intuitive Connection
At one point, I shared some of my own experiences with intuitive communication with animals. Like the time I negotiated with starlings who were dive-bombing a pool. Or the rabbit who mucnhed down my roses until I had a little “chat” with him.
These moments may seem small, but they show how communication can create understanding, harmony, and even cooperation between humans and the wild world around us. Animals listen, respond and they appreciate being spoken to with respect and awareness.
Exploring the Human–Animal Bond
My conversation with Genie opened a doorway into an entirely different way of relating to our animal companions. Her work through The Human Animal Connection helps pet owners worldwide deepen their relationships, understand their animal’s inner world, and dissolve emotional barriers.
This is much bigger that solving behavior problems. This is really about soulful partnerships. Animals speak to you all the time, through energy, intuition, behavior, and subtle emotional cues. When you slow down and listen, you discover they’ve been sharing wisdom, comfort, and support all along.
The Secret World of Animals Is Waiting
This week’s episode is a beautiful reminder of the secret world waiting right at your feet, curled up on your couch, napping on your lap, or chirping outside your window.
Your animals may have insights you’ve never imagined and it’s possible they’ve been trying to help you more than you realize. And they may have little pearls of wisdom (or sass!) just waiting for you to hear.
So tune in, get curious, and let the magic of communication with animals open your heart in new ways. Or get a session with an animal communicator like Genie to speak with your pet for you.

The post Intuitive Communication With Animals Creates Powerful Healing appeared first on Intuitive Edge.
Today’s episode is a celebration! I have now been hosting this podcast for five years. Can you believe it? I’m not sure I do.
Over 250 Episodes!
Yes, five years of podcasting and over 250 episodes! Whoa, that’s a lot! Back in 2021, when I first hit record, I had no idea what would unfold and it’s become one of the greatest gifts of my life.
I’ve shared so much of my own spiritual journey as well as that of my guests. Topics have included energy work and healing, manifesting, intuition and divination, mediumship, animal communication, talking with plants, tarot, past lives and the Akashic Records, nature spirits and faeries, and so much more.
It’s all been to help you live a life filled with joy and move past anything that gets in your way. Because when you commune with spirit, so much more becomes possible.
Beneath all these conversations, there’s been one main intention: Help you trust your inner wisdom, so life feels a little more magical and a lot more aligned.
While the topics have been fun and fascinating, what matters most to me is how many of you have written to say an episode shifted something inside you. That just thrills me to no end!
Every episode, at its core, is really about remembering who you are underneath the noise of everyday life. The point is to get past the cosmic fluff and down to the bottom line of what truly makes a difference for you.
What I’ve Learned In 5 Years
Intuition is not a gift but an innate resource that every single person can access and learn to use. When you learn to flex this muscle and trust your inner wisdom, you can conquer problems and move past blocks.
The energy on the planet has been changing so rapidly that your access to spiritual wisdom and energy healing has been ramped up and made more available than ever.
And last but far from least: magic is all around you, ready for you to notice it and take advantage of everything it offers.
So, for this anniversary episode, I thought it’d be fun to walk down this magical memory lane. I selected an episode from each year, all the way back to the beginning in 2021. These are conversations and topics that lit me up or revealed something big and reflect my growth and hopefully yours too.
Highlights By Year
Back in 2021, when the show first launched and I was still figuring out what this podcast wanted to become. One of the very first episodes was about the Magic of Nature Spirits — elementals, devas, all the beings I’d been seeing and communicating with in my own backyard. I shared stories like watching a tiny bootprint make an impression in the grass down and then spring back up right in front of my eyes.
I also spoke to Pan, the kind of the elementals in my garden and even asking my string beans why they weren’t producing and heard an answer! That episode set the tone for everything that followed, so let’s revisit it now.
Let’s jump to 2022. This was a year when synchronicity was showing up everywhere — not just for me, but in the lives of many of the guests I interviewed. One of my favorites was my conversation with Jan Stringer, who shared how Sacred Synchronicities pulled her away from a corporate career and eventually even beyond traditional coaching into intuitive and healing work. It was a beautiful reminder that Spirit always knows how to get our attention. Here’s a clip from that episode.”
Moving into 2023, the theme of the unseen continued — but with a little more sparkle and play. That year, I sat down with my friend Barb Gallagher to talk about her experiences with the faeries. She has a faery guide, she’s seen faeries many times, and she shared some incredible stories. I even added a couple of my own. It was such a fun and magical conversation. Let’s listen in.
Medical Intuitive & More
Then came 2024 — a year filled with deeper healing and spiritual expansion. One of the standout conversations was with Christine Lang, a medical intuitive who left a high-powered career as a corporate lawyer after debilitating allergies pushed her toward energy work. She talked about her journey through Reiki, developing her intuitive abilities, and how to elevate your energy so you can communicate with your spirit guides. Here’s a moment from that fascinating interview.
Now in 2025, which has been a powerful, transformational year for both the podcast and the planet. One of the most meaningful episodes for me was my interview with the woman who leads the Net of Light group — a community working with the Great Council of Grandmothers. We talked about the divine feminine rising to restore balance and support the world through these times of change. Let me share a snippet from that conversation.”
2025 has also been the year I started sharing a lot more of my own thoughts and experiences in solo episodes. Two that really resonated with many of you were Light vs. Dark — Who’s Winning? (spoiler: the light!) and Crumble vs. Shift, where we talked about the energetic power of the words we choose.
Looking Back at the Tapestry
As I look back over these five years, what strikes me most is how each conversation, whether it was with a healer, a mystic, a faery friend, or a grandmother of the Net of Light, was really part of a bigger tapestry. It’s like a tapestry of awakening, connection, and remembering who we truly are. And you’ve been woven into it right along with me.
This podcast has grown because you’ve been willing to explore these topics and ideas with me. Opening your heart, asking deeper questions, using your tinuition, and stepping into the magic of your own inner wisdom.
As I move into year six, my intention is to go deeper into living an intuitively led life, heightening awareness, and noticing the breadcrumbs of guidance Spirit shares with us every single day.
Not just clarity and alignment, but a more attuned way of being. A way of moving through the world where you feel supported, connected, and guided from within and by spirit.
Thank you for listening and walking this path with me.

The craziest season of the year has begun. The minute Halloween is over, Black Friday and the holiday circus come to town.
You know you’re going to get super busy. There’s too much to do. The stress is already building. Cooking, cleaning, entertaining, decorating, gift buying and wrapping. And let’s not forget all the socializing.
Most women shoulder the emotional and sometimes physical labor of the season. You think about everyone’s feelings, comfort, dietary preferences, and more. It’s a lot.
No wonder it feels like a giant snowball rolling downhill, gaining speed until you feel like it bowls you over. What can you do?
I’ve Got Your Back!
I’ve got some simple ways to help you plan to take care of yourself during the holiday rush. The best thing is to get out ahead of that snowball to combat the overwhelm.
Below you’ll find eight simple and quick self-care rituals that work like a charm to help you relax, stay centered, and appreciate yourself for who you are and all that you do. I encourage you to try several of them to see what works best for you before you get knee-deep in the season.
Knowing which rituals work for you gives you an advantage when things get busy. You won’t have to sit there thinking, “What should I do?” You’ll know which of these self-care tips will serve you best. And then you can take care of yourself like it’s a no-brainer.
Magical Self-Care for Low Stress Holidays
1. Humming
Need to calm down and relax your nervous system fast? Maybe you don’t have time for a bath or 30-minute meditation. Try humming!
Humming is perfect for soothing your nervous system — research shows it raises nitric oxide levels in the body, which eases tension. Spiritually, humming also clears the throat chakra and brings your energy back into vibrational alignment.
Practice slow, mindful breathing, and with each exhale, gently hum a single note with your mouth closed. It’s surprisingly calming.
2. Daily Oneness Minute
In everyday life, most people forget that they are one with everything. You are a child of the Universe. You are made of the same material as the stars – some say you are made of stardust.
How amazing is that?
Yet, you rarely stop to feel that connection. However, the more you remember the oneness, the more your body relaxes. Instead of feeling separate and alone, remember that angels, your higher self, spirit guides, and ancestors are always with you.
To start your Oneness Minute, place your hand on your heart and the other on your belly and take a deep breath. Then let yourself feel the truth of who you are and how you are part of everything. This might just be the most peaceful minute of your entire day.
3. Brew Tea with Intention
Prepare an herbal tea with purpose. Choose herbs for heart healing (like hibiscus), calming (like chamomile or Tulsi), or warmth (like apple cinnamon). While pouring water over the herbs or tea bag, imagine sending your intention into the brew.
Once the tea is brewed, hold the warm cup in your hands. Feel the heat against your palms. Let the steam rise to your face. Set an intention and imagine infusing the liquid with that energy.
When you sip, you’re literally drinking in the energy of your intention. I consider this to be self-care and self-love because you are taking a moment to think about yourself – what do you want? Getting clear and setting an intention is important “me time”.
4. “Enchanted” Body Oil
Self-care and self-love are intertwined. Applying body oil or body butter after a bath, shower, or anytime is truly an act of love. You can add an essential oil to a carrier oil like almond or coconut, or put a few drops into any body butter or cream.
When you massage your body with your chosen oil, express gratitude for each body part. Think about what that part helps you do. Spend extra time on areas you typically criticize because this is where love is most needed.
Everyone has parts of their body they wish were different, but this is a time to appreciate all of you. As you love and accept yourself for who you are right now, confidence builds and your vibration rises. Love all your parts and make them soft and smell fabulous.
5. Anoint Yourself
The act of anointing is sacred. When you put an oil on your body with intention, you are taking a sacred action to honor yourself and connect with the divine. You can focus on attracting abundance, healing, or staying calm and balanced. The choice is yours.
In the past, anointing was used for king-making ceremonies and religious rites. Prophets, priests, and priestesses all used this sacred tool as part of their rituals and it’s still used today.
I recommend using a quality essential oil like doTerra, but there are many excellent brands.
Before applying, if you have sensitive skin, mix your essential oil with a carrier oil like jojoba, sweet almond, or coconut oil. You only need a few drops of the essential oil in the carrier oil to get the benefits.
Try a blend of rose, jasmine, or vanilla oil and gently anoint your wrists, heart, and third eye. Citrus scents are also cheerful mood elevators. This ancient ritual honors the spirit and invokes kindness toward self. A perfect option that’s simple self-care.
6. Self-Love Sigil
A sigil is a symbol you create from your intention. You can make up a symbol or use the letters from a phrase you’ve chosen.
For example: “I Love Myself Today.” Remove vowels and duplicate consonants. Then, from the remaining letters, create a symbol by connecting them. Turn them sideways, stack them, overlap them however you want.
I recommend putting your symbol on the back of a business card so it can fit in your wallet, under your pillow, or on your altar. The business card has some weight to it versus paper to last longer.
Next, charge the sigil with intention. Think about your statement and send energy into the card. You can use the palms of your hands or visualize the energy flowing in.
You’ll know the sigil is fully charged when you feel a tiny shift that might be a sense of calm, completion, warmth, or simply “that’s enough.” Then put it in your waller or leave it on your altar or night table. Once it’s activated, your sigil takes over attracting what you want.
7. Three Things I Love About Myself Journal
This is a spinoff from a recent episode about writing love notes to yourself. If that feels too big of a leap, start with a journal dedicated to self-love and write down three things you love about yourself each day.
If you get stuck, use these prompts to think of something:
About your personality
What you did today that makes you happy or proud
About your physical self
This small ritual is especially powerful during hectic holiday times. Recognizing yourself for what is good or even great is a game changer. Take the time to appreciate the countless good things about who you are. Acknowledge yourself to reduce stress and feel more grounded and at ease.
8. Self-Love Simmer Pot
A simmer pot is simply a large pot filled with water and herbs that simmers on the stove for 1–3 hours. It will fill your home with a natural fragrance and infuse the space with the vibration of the ingredients.
This recipe is for self love and it smells amazing. If you think this is too much, don’t add everything in. Choose what calls to you from this list of herbs and spices. There’s no doing this wrong, so enjoy the process and the scent.
Here’s the recipe for self-love:
3–4 cups of water
A pinch of Himalayan salt (cleansing + grounding)
A handful of dried or fresh rose petals (love + emotional healing)
Rosemary (protection + clarity)
1 Tbsp maple syrup (sweetness, abundance, transformation)
Sliced apple (health, longevity, knowledge, abundance)
Cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon (fire + passion + abundance)
1 tsp vanilla (warmth + love + luck)
Mint (vitality + uplifted mood)
Let it simmer and scent your home, but watch to make sure the water doesn’t boil away. Take a moment to breathe in the love and magic it radiates. This is so much better than chemically made scents — it’s pure magic.
You Are the Magic
As you move through the season, remember that you are the magic in your home, your family, and your life. Even a few moments of self-care can shift everything.
So be gentle with yourself, honor your energy, and let these simple rituals hold you through the busy days ahead. You deserve to feel supported, centered, and deeply loved—especially by yourself.

Recently Kim Kardashian took and failed the California bar exam. Sorry, Kim. And her reaction was, “All those psychics who told me I’d pass are liars.” What?
You Can’t Win the Blame Game
Kim’s frustration and disappointment are totally understandable. Failure stinks! But blaming the psychics for this mishap? That part makes no sense. So, let’s break this down.
Psychics give a snapshot in time of what might happen. Readings reveal possibilities, not fixed outcomes.
Not sure what she was told about timing. Did they say she’d pass the first time… or simply that she’d pass? Those are very different predictions.
If she passes next time, those psychics will be correct. One failed attempt doesn’t cancel the larger perspective on passing the bar. Maybe they weren’t specific enough.
Timing is the toughest part of psychic work. Many believe spirit doesn’t follow linear time the way humans do. Meanwhile, several scientific theories rooted in Einstein’s work suggest all moments may exist simultaneously. That creates a challenge when people ask, “When will I meet my love?” or “When will this happen?”And to be honest, there are some things spirit just won’t tell you because it will interfere with the lesson you are learning.
What did Kim’s own intuition say? It’s unclear whether she checked in with her inner knowing or handed full responsibility to the psychics.
Let’s be honest — who wants to tell Kim Kardashian she’s going to fail? Psychics are human. They want to please, especially when reading for someone influential. Even if a psychic sensed she might struggle, delivering a message like that isn’t easy and can feel ethically tricky.Personally, I wouldn’t give a simple yes-or-no answer either. I’d redirect the question toward something more supportive and actionable like, “What do I need to know to pass? Is anything blocking me?” That’s far more helpful than predicting an outcome.
Who is actually responsible for passing the bar? Not the psychics! Kim herself is the only one responsible for the outcome of her test taking. Their predictions (right or wrong) didn’t cause her to fail. If she took encouraging readings as an excuse to study less, that’s her choice and her consequence.Between study habits, stress, test preparation, and her reliance on AI tools, many factors play into exam performance. And remember: only 55% of first-time California bar exam takers pass. She has plenty of company in her experience.
Perhaps this is a life lesson in humility. Whatever Kim is meant to learn from this setback, it’s her karma, her growth, and her responsibility. It sure isn’t up to the psychics.
Readings Are Not Short Cuts
Psychic insight is never meant to be a shortcut, but used to shine a little light where life feels foggy. When you rely on predictions instead of your own inner knowing, disappointment is almost guaranteed.
Trusting psychic guidance is best when done as a companion to your own inner wisdom. Don’t let external information replace your own inner knowing.
Blaming the psychics misses the bigger picture. Intuition and spiritual guidance are invitations to deepen self-trust and knowledge rather than promises for specific outcomes. Life is shaped by preparation, effort, emotion, energy, timing, and yes… a bit of magic.
This whole story is a powerful reminder that when you hand over your power to someone else’s prediction, you lose your connection to your own power. Intuition works best when you stay accountable, grounded, and willing to do the work required for what you want.
So whether you’re taking an essential exam or facing a major life decision, let this be your takeaway – Trust your gut, seek guidance if you want it, but keep your hands on the wheel. That’s where your strength and your success truly come from.

If you’re on a spiritual path, you’ve probably noticed certain number patterns popping up again and again. They’re called Angel Numbers.
Angel Numbers Are Not Random
These are more than random occurences. They provide messages from the Universe, your guides, angels, or your higher self. Think of them as gentle nudges saying, “I’ve got you and here’s some guidance.”
The term angel numbers was popularized by Doreen Virtue in her 2005 book Angel Numbers. But the idea of numbers holding spiritual power goes way back. The ancient Greeks believed in the divine significance of numbers, and Pythagoras saw reality itself as shaped by numerical vibrations.
Everything in the universe is energy, and numbers carry their own energy and meaning. Doreen simply built on this, suggesting that certain sequences are messages from guardian angels. When you think about it, it’s like a modern extension of ancient numerology.
Evidence of Angelic Guidance
Angel numbers are very much like supportive reminders that you’re never alone. The Universe uses patterns, synchronicities, and signs to communicate with you and offer guidance.
I call this “spiritual breadcrumbing” but not like in dating where you aren’t getting quality time from someone. This is a great use of breadcrumbs because the Universe leads you one step at a time to your highest good. But this only works if you pay attention.
When you see a number sequence, pause for a moment. Ask yourself, “What was I thinking or feeling just now?” Or, “What might my soul be trying to tell me?” Sometimes these numbers are wake-up calls disguised as simple coincidences.
The Brink of Transformation
Last week, I took a three-day vacation with my husband to Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. We stopped in Wolfeboro, a tiny town with two metaphysical shops.
In the first one, we didn’t buy anything, but there was a small plaque with the number 555. My husband picked it up and started reading about it, which surprised me since he’s not usually into spirituality.
When I asked if he liked what he was reading about that number, he said yes. Then I asked if he’d like me to paint a 555 plaque for him, and he said yes again! The number 555 is about transformation and he is certainly on the brink and headed in that direction.
That moment reminded me how these numbers show up for all of us, sometimes in the most unexpected ways. Inspired, I want to share some of the most common angel numbers, what they mean with you and activities you can do to apply their energy.

If you doubt your ability to hear intuitive guidance, this Question & Answer episode will clear that up, revealing essential secrets to trust your intuition.
Have you ever wondered if that quiet inner nudge was really your intuition—or just your imagination running wild? You’re not alone. I hear this question all the time, and honestly, it’s one of my favorites because it opens the door to how our intuitive guidance really works.
Q: What Exactly Is Intuition?
Intuition is a quiet inner system to access your own guidance or inner wisdom. It doesn’t shout, “Turn left now!” or flash neon signs. In general, it’s more like a gentle knowing that lands in your body which is steady, calm, and quietly certain.
It might show up as a voice your hear or a vision you see. You might have a sense of knowing or something you feel in your body. These are actually the four “clairs” including clairaudient – hearing, clairvoyant – seeing, claircognizant – knowing, and clairsentient – feeling.
Now how do you know it’s not your intuition? It could be wishful thinking or anxious overthinking, when your body feels jittery and anxious. Your inner guidance expands you, and everything else constricts your energy.
Ignoring Spirit Messages
Sitting on a park bench with a guy on date #4, he was talking about all the things we could do together that summer. I was loving it thinking he was really into me. Then out of nowhere, I heard a loud clera voice saying, “You are not special to him.”
I was shocked and attrributed this to my own fears. Unfortunately, it was a warning and 100% true. I never saw him again after that day. But I didn’t listen to the loud and clear message from spirit which was really too bad, since this broke my heart.
I must say, this was a good lesson in respecting a warning message and tursting my intuition. Now, I always pay attention to the warnings I receive. Thankfully, this doesn’t happen often. But it’s a great example of how your higher self, angels, spirit guides or even your ancestors watch over and try to guide you.
Q: Is Intuition for “Spiritual People” Or Can Anyone Access It?
Everyone has intuition. Truly. It’s not for some spiritual elite club, but part of being human. Science even backs this up. Turns out women’s brains are wired for rapid, intuitive decision-making, blending logic, intuition, and emotion seamlessly.
Not only that but women have more connective tissue between the two hemispheres which is why we are naturally more intuitive than men! That’s why it’s called women’s intuition, right?
What makes the difference is practice. When you practice, you sharpen the signal and increae your skillfor getting the messages and guidance. It’s like turning up the volume on a radio station that’s been playing all along.
People Who Use Intuition Have 9 Huge Advantages
Q: How Do You Tell the Difference Between Intuition and Fear or Ego?
This might be easier than you think. If you ask about taking a new job, pay attention to how you feel in your body. What do you notice? Do you feel good, comfortable and at ease? That would be intuitive guidance.
Or do you have a pitt in your stomach or feel anxiety? Fear tends to be loud and stand out. Your ego overanalyzes, criticizes, and says things like “this is too good to be true.”
Intuition feels like quiet confidence. It simply offers the truth of your own inner wisdom. You can feel it in your body as peace, clarity, or grounded energy.
Q: Why Does Intuition Feel Harder as You Get Older?
Ah, midlife. You’re wiser, yes, but your brain has a lot more experience and responsibilities. You also have had more time with analyzing and using your logic. Both of these tend to muffle those subtle intuitive nudges.
No worries. Intuition never leaves you. It might get quieter until you slow down and decide to listen again. When you do that, your inner wisdom will reappear adn step up to provide the guidance you seek, just like when you were younger.
Q: What Does Intuition Feel Like in the Body?
For many, it’s a calm certainty, gentle goosebumps, or energy rushes. Some people can tingles in their hands. It can be so subtle that you might miss it if you’re not paying full attention. The body is your tuning fork for your truth and wisdom.
It’s your job to notice how it feels to you in your body and then watch out for that occurring, letting you know it’s time to trust your intuition or messages from spirit.
Q: What about Signs from Spirit?
Signs are best usesd as a confirmation. You can ask your spirit guides for a sign of confirmation if you’re headed in the right direction. If you see that sign, then you know your in alignment with your highest good.
Spirit loves to provide you with symbols. A feather on your path, a song lyric that lands perfectly, or a sudden flash of warmth in your heart. These gifts or coincidences show up often and easily. The more you notice them, the more they appear.
I recommend choosing the sign you want to see, otherwise you might be left wondering what the sign is and never know for sure. And you don’t always have to use the same sign. Feel free to change it up. Just let your guides know what you want to see.
Q: How To Make Intuition Part of Your Daily Life?
Start small. Ask simple questions, notice the sensations that follow, and track your intuitive hits. Keep a quick journal or voice memo of what you sensed and how it turned out.
Having a track record allows you to build confidence in your inner wisdom. In addition, gratitude amplifies the energy. Be sure to thank your intuition when it gets something right (which is more often than you might think).
Over time, intuition will become your natural navigation system. You won’t have to ask, “Is this intuition because you’ll just know.

Every October, witches pop up everywhere with pointy hats, broomsticks, and black cats. It’s fun on the surface, but beneath all that playfulness lies a deeper story.
A Centuries-Old Fear
For many intuitive, spiritual, creative women, the word witch still stirs something ancient. It can be a mix of fascination and fear.
If you’ve ever dimmed your light, held your tongue, or second-guessed your intuition, so you wouldn’t stand out too much, you may be feeling the effects of the Witch Wound.
I never thought I had this. But after a recent healing session with my friend and Holy Fire Reiki practitioner Cindy Bain, I discovered layers of subconscious fear I hadn’t known were there.. She found fears quietly shaping how safe I felt being fully visible in my magic.
So let’s talk about what the Witch Wound really is, where it comes from, and how we can finally heal it.
Origin of the Word “Witch”
The word witch comes from the Old English wicce (female) and wicca (male), first used around 890 CE. It originally meant a person who worked with the unseen world. It was the name for someone skilled in herbs, healing, divination, and nature’s cycles. There was nothing dark or sinister about it.
But as Christianity spread across Europe, suspicion of independent spiritual practices grew. Healing, astrology, and herbalism were once honored skills of wise women. But, they became dangerous.
By the 16th century, “witch” took on a fearful meaning, and what followed were centuries of persecution, mistrust, and pain.
Before she became the outcast, the witch was the wise woman. She was a midwife, healer, and community guide whose wisdom came from nature and Spirit, not the church.
As patriarchal systems tightened control, the wise woman’s independence became defiance and her intuition became a threat.
However, she never quite disappeared. Instead, she went underground, hiding in stories, in the land, and, I believe, in our DNA.
Past Life Trauma
I’ve seen echoes of those times in my own soul history. In one lifetime, I was a herbalist living at the edge of a village. People avoided me unless they needed my help. I was lonely, but I always served when requested.
During a healing meditation in this lifetime, I saw that woman. She was cloaked, hidden, and separate. The woman leading the session suggested I let the cloak fall. When I did, I felt an energetic ripple travel through time, releasing emotions from all the lives that followed.
In another life, I was a wealthy woman in 1400s Italy, practicing ritual magic with a group of people. When soldiers stormed in, we were all executed. Watching that memory, I heard a voice say, “That’s what happens when you play with power.”
For centuries, my soul equated power with danger. That’s an illusion many women still carry today. But these stories aren’t unique to me. They’re part of our collective consciousness.
What Is the Witch Wound?
The Witch Wound is a deep energetic imprint passed down through generations. It’s the lingering memory of persecution, fear, and suppression of feminine wisdom. That’s what happens when intuition, healing, and connection to Spirit are condemned.
Historically, this wound was reinforced by religion and culture, especially after the publication of The Malleus Maleficarum in 1486 — the “Hammer of Witches.” This was a handbook for persecuting and prosecuting women for heresy.
The impact was enormous, embedding fear and distrust of female power throughout society and the collective consciousness.
Over centuries, the Witch Wound became internalized. It still whispers through our subconscious in phrases like:
“Don’t rock the boat.”
“Tone it down.”
“Be nice.”
“Don’t be too mystical or intuitive.”
“Don’t be too much.”
It’s an ancient echo reminding us that visibility once meant danger.
How the Wound Appears
This wound doesn’t always look like fear. Sometimes it hides as perfectionism, over-preparing, or hesitation to share your gifts. It can surface as doubt that appears out of nowhere. Or a quiet inner voice asking, “What if they think I’m crazy? What if it’s not safe?”
These patterns don’t mean you’re weak. They demonstrate that your body remembers what your mind has forgotten. The Witch Wound lives in the subconscious and in the energy field, quietly influencing how safe you feel expressing your power.
Collectively, it also appears in how society still views spiritual women. Words like “witchy” or “crazy” are used to dismiss intuition. Society still celebrates logic but questions inner knowing.
The Witch Wound is about restoring balance between the rational and the mystical, the masculine and the feminine, and the head and heart.
Ancestral Threads
Many women carry this wound through their family line, especially the maternal side. It can show up as generations of women who stayed quiet, over-gave, or never felt safe resting or taking a break.
Even if your ancestors weren’t persecuted directly, they lived under the same cultural conditioning that taught women to fear and mistrust their own wisdom.
When you heal, you free your ancestors as well. They cheer you on from the spirit world, This time, you can do things differently.
Recognize the Signs
You might have the Witch Wound if:
You hesitate to share your spiritual experiences for fear of judgment.
You downplay your intuition or call it coincidence.
You feel drawn to healing or energy work but never quite feel “ready.”
You feel a tug-of-war between wanting to be seen and wanting to stay safe.
You sense a deep connection or aversion to the word witch itself.
However the wound shows up, its asking for love, not analysis.
How to Heal the Witch Wound
Healing this wound isn’t about fixing yourself because you are not broken. It’s about clearing the energetic dust, so your light can shine again. Here are a few powerful practices that came through the Akashic Records:
1. Clear Your Energy Field for Seven Days.
Each day, cleanse your aura with intention. Smudge with herbs, bathe with rose petals or sea salt, meditate, or let the wind carry away old energy. As you do, affirm: “I release fear, persecution, and suppression. I reclaim my light, my power, and my voice.”
2. Rewrite Your Past-Life Stories.
If you remember a lifetime that ended in trauma, revisit it through meditation. Ask your soul, What if this could end differently?
When I re-entered my Italian lifetime, I invited the soldiers sent to kill us to join the ritual instead. They dropped their swords and stood in the circle of light. That single act of compassion healed the pattern across all my lifetimes.
3. Receive Golden Light.
In meditation, ask Spirit for healing. Imagine golden-white light raining down on you, forming a glowing sphere in your hands. Place it in your heart and let it expand through your body and aura until you’re filled with shimmering light. Feel it dissolving the residue of fear and restoring your innate wisdom.
4. Honor Your Body.
Move, dance, breathe, and affirm, “It’s safe for me to be all of who I am.” The body holds ancestral memory and the key to freedom. When you ove iwth intention, you can energetically release what no longer serves you.
5. Heal in Sisterhood.
Persecution of witches isolated women, but sisterhood heals! Gather with other women who see you, speak your truth, and hare similar stories. Each time you do this, you help one another remember it’s safe to connect with the divine feminine and shine again.
6. Reclaim Everyday Magic.
Light candles, talk to your plants, pull oracle cards, or pray under the full moon. There are so many small rituals to remind your spirit that intuition is no longer dangerous. It’s truly divine.
Remember the Wise Woman Within
The Witch Wound was never really about witchcraft. It was about fear of women’s wisdom, intuition, and power and supression of these skills. But those days are over. Women are remembering now that “witch” and “wise woman” once meant the same thing.
Every time you trust your intuition, you empower yourself and rewrite history. Each time you speak your truth, you heal your lineage. And every time you choose love over fear, you dissolve the old repression and silence.
This Halloween, let’s celebrate the return of the wise women, the mystics, and the healers claiming their divine feminine powers freely and rising once more.
Because the Witch Wound isn’t your weakness. It’s your initiation into wholeness.
Let me close with a phrase I never use but it seems completely appropriate for this episode:
Blessed be.

Energetic healing is essential for everyone, even for experienced meditators. Clearing blocks makes room for new energy, while it restores clarity, balance, and higher vibration. This is also true for fans of personal growth and empowerment work.
Always Upleveling
If you’re constantly bringing in new, higher-frequency energy, where does it all go? How does it integrate if there’s no space for it? As you evolve, certain patterns, habits, and energies simply no longer serve you. So, they need to be released.
Here’s the thing – clearing energy is just as vital as bringing in new energy. Without it, all that growth can feel stuck or heavy.
This week, I had the pleasure of talking with Cheryl Stelte, a spiritual coach, master healer, bestselling author, and expert in energy work. We talked about the transformative power of energetic healing, chakra work, and what it truly takes to elevate your vibration and live in alignment with your purpose.
Who Needs More Clearing?
Cheryl shared an interesting trend she’s noticed. More mature men, in their 60s and 70s, are diving into spiritual growth and energy work. Some of the people she’s worked with have been meditating and working with higher energies for over 50 years.
You might think that would mean their energy fields are pristine, right?
Not quite. Cheryl observed murky “gray areas” in their energy fields. These spots represent subconscious blocks that dim their inner light. It’s a reminder that healing and growth are lifelong processes.
Turns out energetic healing isn’t just for beginners. It’s for anyone ready to restore vibrancy, alignment, and ease in life.
The ACE Method
Cheryl shared her three-step ACE method, a simple but powerful approach to clearing subconscious blocks.
A is for Accessing. Start by connecting with the emotions trapped in your energy field. Deep belly breathing is the key here—it’s like a spotlight into your energy, helping you identify what’s blocking you.
C is for Clearing. Once you identify the stuck emotions, continue breathing deeply to release them. Pay attention to the physical sensations that arise—they often give you clues about other layers of energy that need attention.
E is for Empowering. This is the magic that follows clearing. It’s not just a mindset shift—it’s realignment with your energetic self. You emerge lighter, clearer, and more connected to your natural flow of energy. Regular sessions of energetic healing amplify this effect, helping blocks release faster and more completely.
Feeling the Shift
When you remove energy blocks, you start living in alignment with your higher self—and you can feel it. Life flows easier, decisions feel clearer, and even your interactions with others can feel more effortless. Higher vibration is more than a buzzword. I’m talking about experience and here’s hwat you might notice:
Less mental chatter and worry
More ease moving through challenges
A sense of inner lightness and clarity
Feeling more present and connected to your intuition
Greater inner peace
Cheryl recounted a wonderful client story. After just three clearing sessions, the woman released worry and shifted her perspective! She realized freedom wasn’t about changing circumstances, but cultivating a state of inner peace. This is exactly what this powerful energetic healing can help you achieve.
Emotions Are Energy Messengers
One of the most important pieces of Cheryl’s work is acknowledging emotions. Whether it’s anger, sadness, or fear, lean into these feelings. Doing this will move the energy instead of allowing it stagnate.
Suppressed emotions often point to deeper issues, while conscious acknowledgment can lead to breakthroughs and personal growth. This is why energetic healing is such a powerful tool. It moves stuck energy, so your mind, body, and spirit can realign.
Let’s talk about the David Hawkins Map of Consciousness which shows emotions in a hierarchy based on Hertz frequency. For example, if you’re feeling angry, that is actually several steps above others vibrationally such as shame, grief, or even fear.
Why does this matter? Some people fear their anger and want to avoid feeling that. Yet, it can actually propel you forward into action to cahnge your life. I’m not saying anger is good for you, but it is on the scale and does have some temporary advantages.
This is just one example of how your emotions are worth examining and experiencing, so you can move up the Map of Consciousness.
Your Purpose Might Be Simple
Many people search for “their purpose” as if it’s one grand achievement. Cheryl reminds you that purpose isn’t about titles or accolades. Instead it’s deeply personal and varies for each individual.
Your purpose could be experiencing simple joys, small acts of nurturing, or profound contributions. What matters is alignment with your true self.
Cheryl’s work helps people uncover and embrace their unique purpose, whether that’s caring for others, developing untapped talents, or simply showing up as their authentic self.
Practicing Energetic Empowerment
You don’t need a guru to start shifting your energy. When you face discomfort, start with the ACE method. Feel your emotions, breathe deeply, and release what no longer serves you. It’s simple, yet incredibly effective for moving energy and refining your alignment.
Your journey is yours alone. Each step, whether small or transformative, clears the path for more clarity, ease, and vibrancy in your life.
For those ready to explore this kind of work, Cheryl can guide you in clearing blocks, reconnecting with your inner power, and discovering the purpose waiting to be fully realized.
And remember, I also offer Bioenergetic Clearings. I can do a general clearing or you can get specific including clearings for the chakras, relationships, ancestors and the physical body. Each one will help lighten your energy field and renew your vitality.

Johnny Depp plays Ichabod Crane, a quirky detective sent to investigate murders in the fog-filled town of Sleepy Hollow. Expect eerie forests, a headless horseman, and Christina Ricci’s haunting charm. A Halloween classic in my house.
8. Wicked (2024) — Prime Video, Apple TV
Before Dorothy ever landed in Oz, two witches forged an unlikely friendship that changed everything. Elphaba (green skinned and misunderstood) became the Wicked Witch of the West, while Glinda (popular and sparkly), became the Good Witch of the North. This visual feast is the prequel and a heart-tugging re-imagining of good and evil.
9. The OA (Series) — Netflix
Equal parts mystical and mind-bending, this series follows Prairie Johnson, a blind woman who returns home after vanishing for seven years. Now, her sight has been restored in this story about interdimensional travel. It’s strange, soulful, and totally mesmerizing.
10. Good Omens (Series) — Prime Video
An angel (Michael Sheen) and a demon (David Tennant) form an unlikely alliance to prevent Armageddon. Smart, cosmic, and laugh-out-loud funny, this Neil Gaiman adaptation balances celestial chaos with a surprisingly tender friendship.
Time Travel, Love, and Other Dimensions
11. The Fountain — HBO Max, Apple TV
A visually stunning meditation on love, life, and rebirth. Hugh Jackman plays three versions of a man — a conquistador, a modern scientist, and a space traveler. In each life, he’s trying to save the woman he loves (Rachel Weisz). Deep, dreamy, and emotional that belongs in your Halloween movie marathon.
12. A Discovery of Witches (Series) — Shudder, AMC+
Historian Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) accidentally summons a long-lost magical manuscript, forcing her to embrace her witch heritage and ally with a vampire geneticist (Matthew Goode). Spellbinding, romantic, and steeped in ancient secrets.
13. Outlander (Series) — Netflix, Starz
A WWII nurse touches a standing stone in Scotland and finds herself in the 18th century — where she falls in love with Highland warrior Jamie Fraser. Sweeping, romantic, and rich in historical magic and danger.
14. Heaven Can Wait — Prime Video, Apple TV
A charming 1978 classic starring Warren Beatty as a football player taken to heaven too soon. He’s sent back in another man’s body to finish his life and maybe find love. Light, funny, and full of soul-swapping twists.
Darkly Fun Halloween Favorites
15. Hocus Pocus — Disney+
The Sanderson sisters (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) are accidentally resurrected in modern-day Salem, wreaking hilarious havoc on Halloween night. Silly, spooky, and endlessly quotable. A family favorite for your Halloween movie marathon.
16. The Addams Family — Paramount+, Prime Video
Gomez, Morticia, and their delightfully dark clan are tricked by a con man posing as long-lost Uncle Fester. Macabre humor and gothic style make this 1991 film a perennial favorite.
17. Wednesday (Series) — Netflix
The Addams Family’s deadpan daughter, Wednesday, gets her own spotlight. Sent to Nevermore Academy, Wednesday investigates a monster terrorizing her school, while juggling psychic visions and teenage angst. Jenna Ortega is perfect for this character.
18. Beetlejuice — HBO Max, Apple TV
A newly deceased couple hires the chaotic ghost Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) to scare away the new family in their home. Part comedy, part nightmare, this Tim Burton brilliance has got to be part of your Halloween movie marathon.
19. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice — Netflix, Prime Video
Decades later, Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) and her teenage daughter (Jenna Ortega) return to the family home – Winter River. Accidentally, they reopen the portal to the afterlife where the teenager ends up prematurely. Michael Keaton returns in full ghoulish glory to help with the rescue.
20. The Rocky Horror Picture Show — Hulu, Prime Video
No Halloween list is complete without this cult classic. When sweethearts Brad and Janet stumble into Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s bizarre mansion, they find themselves in a glittery, gender-bending, musical fever dream. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, many theaters are showing it again. (Maybe not with the same level of audience participation LOL.)
