Description

Hello and welcome to The Power of You! My name is Ashley Ta.
I am an Army Veteran, an Army Wife, a mother of three and a mindset/transformation coach. I have been on my own transformational journey since January 2014.
I started my journey overweight, unhappy, and unsure of if I would ever truly be able to find my own power.
I have struggled most of my life with low self-esteem, and was bullied a lot as a kid for my weight/size. So when I started my journey in 2014, my sole focus was just to lose the weight I gained after having my first child (and gaining 80 lbs).
But throughout my journey (and a total of three babies), I have learned so much about myself. More than I was ever expecting to learn.
So that is why I wanted to create this podcast.

To share what I've learned over the last 10+ years in my journey, and to continue to inspire, encourage. motivate and help other women find and discover their own power and magic, from the inside out.

I hope you love my podcast, and everything I share here. And if you do, I would love so much for you to leave my podcast a review, or come share any take aways with me on my Instagram:

IG: @therealashleyta

But again, thank you for being here. I love you! And remember...
take care of yourself... from the inside out!

It's almost been a month since I decided to take a step away from Instagram (for a month). In today's episode, I talk about what I took from my month away and also share some insight on how I feel social media/technology is an energy exchange and why we should create and honor our boundaries we create around them.Make sure you are following me on Instagram @therealashleyta to hear more about my time off social media, and to hear about what's coming next for me.Love you!XO, Ashley Ta
Are you ready to be a Consistency Queen?Listen,  as someone who started her journey back in 2014 and really struggled with creating any type of consistency... I get it. It's hard.It feels overwhelming, it can feel defeating, and it can feel like you take 5 steps forward, just to take 6 steps back. I get it, I really do.And often, I like to put myself back in my shoes from when I first started my journey and ask myself, "What did that version of me need when I was first starting?"This was it... I needed to hear that consistency didn't mean perfection.I needed to hear that I didn't need to implement all or nothing.I needed to hear that it's okay to take things slowly, and in pieces.I needed to hear this.So that's why I decided to create my new digital guide + community, "Consistency Queen". 👇🏻https://ashleyta.thrivecart.com/consistency-queen/Inside my new 55 page digital guideyou will find worksheets I created that will help you define your “why”,you will find pages that help you explore why consistency matters to you there is even a section where you will do some consistency mapping and planning. There are also some included affirmations around consistency that can be helpful on your journey, as well as a "commitment to self" contract  which has proven to be a powerful tool within my coaching courses.Along with this digital guide,I also will be including my 4-week resistance band guide for you to help ease you into creating consistency in your fitness routine. This 4 week program is perfect for building upon your consistency because it can be done literally anywhere—and the workouts range from 25-30 minutes. And because I know consistency doesn’t just happen, and I definitely want to be able to continue to help you through this building process—I also created the "Consistency Queen" Facebook community for us to keep building in.In this group I will continue to encourage you to take those small steps to building upon your consistency— as well as provide you a safe space to come and share your consistency wins! I will also be doing a community zoom call for those in this space every 4-6 weeks where we will meet up on a zoom call and continue to connect, share our wins, and even talk through things that might be hindering, or causing some roadblocks in your consistency building. So if this is the kind of support and encouragement you need to get started..  I would love to be here to support you!$22.22 off until May 1st (price will increase). Grab it here! https://ashleyta.thrivecart.com/consistency-queen/Again, I am so excited to build this supportive and safe community and look forward to seeing you there!!Take care of yourself, from the inside out!See you next week!XO,Ashley Ta
In today's podcast episode I dive deep into something that can feel uncomfortable (I know it is for me), but recognizing it is a powerful step in addressing it <3And that is, external validation, or, allowing others opinions to sway the decisions or choices we make for ourselves. As a recovering people pleaser, I know not seeking that external validation to make everyone happy can be a challenge. But the big question I want you to walk away from this episode today asking yourself is: Am I TRULY happy with my life? With my choices? With my decisions? As I also mentioned in this episode, I have 5 reflection questions for you to also help you in recognizing and understanding your own self-worth. If you wish to journal on these questions, they are:1. What are some of your proudest accomplishments or achievements, and why are they important to you?2. How do you define self-worth, and what factors contribute to YOUR sense of self-worth?3. Reflect on moments when you have felt confident, capable, and valuable. What were the circumstances that led to those feelings?4. Consider any negative beliefs or self-doubts that may be impacting your self-worth. What evidence do you have to challenge or dispute those beliefs?5. Imagine your ideal version of yourself. What qualities, values, and strengths would this version possess? How can you cultivate and nurture those aspects within yourself?Again, I know this can be a hard thing to admit to yourself.. But just know, we are all human. We all experience these things from time to time, and you're not wrong for experiencing it.Just know that you ARE so strong, and capable, and smart and beautiful, and powerful...and your self-worth is NOT held in the hands of others, but within yourself.Believe that! <3XO, Ashley Ta

I started my weight loss journey at 235 lbs back in 2014 ( I was a "New Year, New me" girlie). But when I started my journey, loose skin never once crossed my mind.My intentions were simply: let me lose this weight, and nothing more.Back in 2014, I never really heard or saw women or influencers really talking about this, which is why I honestly never really expected it.But now, after three kids and losing over 95 lbs, loose skin is a hard reality for me.So many feelings, thoughts, and emotions to process and sometimes it can feel like I am alone in this. But I know I am not, and I know that I can (and will) use my platform to share more about how I am navigating this part of my journey. If you're ready to hear it how it is... lets get into it.XO, Ashley TaIG: @therealashleytaGmail: therealashleyta@gmail.com
I recently reposted a reel by another creator who was talking about being the default parent in her household, and how exhausting it can be.And SO MUCH SAME. Which is why I shared it, because I resonate so much with the feelings and emotions that come attached to that. It's honestly been so hard for me to navigate it the last year (since becoming an Army wife), and it's been a challenge for me to create something for myself (my business), and be the person who (usually) is responsible for managing, organizing, and doing everything for the kids.Make no mistake, my husband is a TERRIFIC husband and father, and him going to work to provide for us is something that we always appreciate. I support him in anything and everything he does. as he does for me.But that doesn't diminish my feelings and emotions as the default parent (who is also now going to school herself).I have a lot on my plate, and a lot on my mind...so, lets talk about it?And if you make it through this podcast episode, 1st off, thank you for listening. But 2ndly, come find me on Instagram and tell me TWO things that YOU are going to plan for yourself in the name of self-care (I share mine in this episode). Can't wait to hear what you plan for yourself. But please just know mama... you are not alone. I feel you. I understand you. I see you.Take care of yourself, from the inside out!XO, Ashley TaIG: @Therealashleytatherealashleyta@gmail.com
Are you ready to enter your self-love era If you answered yes, LET'S GO!Self-love was something I honestly always assumed I would *magically* have after I lost weight. But I was truly shocked to discover that even after losing 95 lbs, Self-Love was still something I was having trouble with.So after years of allowing myself to really focus on self-love, and allowing myself to learn, and unlearn, I feel I am FINALLY in a place where I can show myself TRUE self-love. That means showing myself compassion, respect, listening to what I need, and continuing to be my own number one fan!And I am so happy to take what I have learned, and develop this 7 day course to help YOU on your path to self-love. You will have LIFETIME access to the audio trainings, and the workbook. Which means you can listen as many times as you want/need (because repetition is KEY).And as always, please feel free to DM me with anything that comes up for you in listening to these podcast episodes, I would love to hear more about what are feeling/thinking as you go through this course. In My Self-Love era/Mindset Makeover Bundle:https://ashleyta.thrivecart.com/self-love-eramindset-makeover-bundle/In My Self-Love era 7-day course *SALE* (Usually $111):https://ashleyta.thrivecart.com/in-my-self-love-era/Email: therealashleyta@gmail.comIG: @therealashleytaTake care of yourself, from the inside out.XO, Ashley Ta
Today's episode is open diary style as I share some of my thoughts/experiences with extreme burnout over the last 10 years. So since we are coming up on 3 months into the New Year, this conversation felt important for me to have here on the podcast.Because it is so important to recognize the signs and warnings of burnout within ourselves BEFORE we actually get to the point of burnout. Please also feel free to follow me or DM me on Instagram, @therealashleytaand remember, take care of yourself, from the inside out! XO, Ashley Ta
Maybe this is something you haven't really put much thought into? And if that's the case, it's okay... I don't blame you.But back in 2014 I became aware of my own victim mentality, and it truly was an eye opener for me. Because it truly was something that was holding me back.In this episode, I will talk about how to recognize if you are falling into the victim mentality, how to change your focus, and ways to continue to work on escaping that mentality. As I also mentioned in todays episode, here are the 6 reflective questions I asked to help you understand/recognize if you are letting a victim mentality hold you back:1. Do I often find myself blaming others or external situations for my problems or setbacks?2. How do I respond to challenges or setbacks? Do I tend to give up easily or become overwhelmed?3. Do I believe that I have control over my own life and the ability to make positive changes?4. Am I willing to take responsibility for my actions and the consequences they may have?5. Do I tend to focus more on the negative aspects of my life rather than looking for potential solutions or opportunities?6. What beliefs or thought patterns contribute to my victim mentality? How do they influence my behavior and choices?I hope these reflection questions are helpful, and as I also shared, if you are wanting to put more focus on your inner critic and limiting beliefs, you can now access my "Mindset Makeover" 5-day self paced course for $22. https://ashleyta.thrivecart.com/5-day-mindset-makeover/But as always, thank you so much for listening.  I truly so appreciate the love and support!Take care of yourself, from the inside out!XO, Ashley Ta
