It was Grand Final week, and Bevo was joined by NBL1 Central guru Tristan Prentice in the absence of Jakey, who was a very late out unfortunately for our final episode of the season. We had two in studio guests from one of our women’s grand finalists, Sophie Kerridge and Mia Parkin from the Norwood Flames. We talked about their big bounce win against the Southern Tigers last weekend, how the build up has been during the week and how they plan to bring down the undefeated Sturt Sabres in the big dance. Tim Shortt, coach of the Sturt Sabres also joined us to talk about how his group have managed another week off, their drive to bounce back after last season’s heartbreak and the keys to locking down that Norwood offense in consecutive games. From the men’s grand final the coach of the West Adelaide Bearcats, Dean Nyberg, joined us to talk about their massive preliminary final win. We asked him about having an extra game together and the difference that made, their offence clicking, their underrated defense and how they plan to turn the tide on the Forestville Eagles in the grand final. Being our last episode of the season, we would like to thank everyone who supported our show this season on social media and through tuning into the podcast. We would also like to thank all players, coaches and officials who gave up their time to have a chat to us this season, we are truly grateful. All the best to all four teams this weekend, see you in 2024.
