Ambition is a trait many of us identify with. Dreaming big moves something in all of us (just look at the success of the marketing for "Marty Supreme"). But what does it really mean to be ambitious, and do we all imagine the same thing when we think about reaching our dreams? Some people proudly describe themselves as ambitious, making it a core part of their identity. Others pursue ambition through quieter growth, personal development, and steady progress. Some dream of changing the world, while others strive for a grounded, mundane life full of simple small pleasures. In this episode of Just Wandering, I explore how my relationship with ambition, success, and the pursuit of greatness has evolved, and is still evolving, over time. After all, maybe changing the world starts with the mundane.Follow the podcast on Instagram:@justwandering.pod
When looking at the news these days, it can be hard to be hopeful about the new year. So much so, that you might have noticed on social media how many have resorted to looking at the good old days of 2016 as a way to escape. Some of the mentioned trends & topics to keep an eye out for in the new year:- 10 trends for 2026 by The Economist - The Joy Report by Intersectional Environmentalist- Some cool movies coming out in 2026 by Rotten Tomatoes

What does it really mean to be well-traveled? The Oxford Dictionary says that to be well-traveled, one must have traveled widely. But is that the only metric? Join me as I reflect on privilege, purpose, and how meaningful travel can help us grow and see the world differently.Ig: @justwandering.pod
In this episode, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what this podcast has meant so far, and how my relationship with what started as a simple passion project has evolved as I’ve grown. But I’m also sharing where Just Wandering is headed next:expect brand new guest conversations and solo episodes on travel, culture, expat life, career paths, and, of course, learning to embrace the uncertainty of our 20s as we go.We’ll keep making sense of it all: the doubts, the highs and lows, and everything in between that comes with being a young adult (especially in these weird, unpredictable times).Through sharing stories, learning from each other, and reminding ourselves that we’re not alone, my hope is that this space feels like a small pocket of calm, curiosity, and connection whenever you need it.Thank you for listening 💛 Love,EsterP.S. — I recorded this episode a few months ago, before turning 25, solo-traveling through Asia, and graduating with my Master’s.I waited to share it because the timing didn’t feel quite right back then, but the reflections and direction still feel just as true today.More on all of that soon! ✨

Hi there, welcome back.
In our fast-paced lives, we often find ourselves rushing from one place to another, which can leave us feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
That's why it's crucial to carve out time to reconnect with our authentic selves, tapping into the innocence and excitement we experienced as children.
What is something that really sparks your joy?
Moving abroad or just transitioning into adulthood often involves leaving behind the familiar faces and places from our childhood and teenage years.
While this period of self-discovery can be very exciting, it's also common to feel lonely from time to time.
Indeed, finding your place in a new environment while creating new connections can evoke feelings of isolation, but that's okay.
Listen to find out about my personal experience and discover some practical dos and don'ts to cope with loneliness and make the most of your new connections and setting!
