Basin Park Hotel has long been the source of eerie tales, unusual happenings, and hauntings.
Room 307 is reportedly quite active, with a cowboy ghost known to appear to unsuspecting guests during the night.
There is the often reported sighting of the young translucent woman who has steel blue eyes and cotton candy blonde hair, the little girl with pigtails in a yellow dress, and the various orbs around the hotel, as well as various objects moving of their own accord.
The house was built by Sarah Winchester after her family had died. A spiritual medium convinced Sarah that the deaths in her family were part of a karma type curse on her that could only be satisfied by constantly building a labyrinthian mansion according to the wishes of the ghosts of the people killed by Winchester rifles.
The Apology Project, a 1980 conceptual art project, was created by Allan Bridge who employed the pseudonym Mr. Apology. Bridge invited callers to "apologize their wrongs against people without jeopardizing themselves" and promoted the service by sticking up posters in the Tribeca area of New York.The line was based at Allan Bridge's Manhattan loft and used an answering machine to record confessions from anonymous callers. Over the 15 years that the line was in operation, more than 1,000 hours of confession were recorded, with callers confessing everything from infidelity, shop lifting, drug dealing to ritualistic murder. Some of the confessions were published in Bridge's magazine Apology.
The Bell Witch or Bell Witch Haunting is a legend from Southern United States folklore, centered on the 19th-century Bell family of northwest Robertson County, Tennessee. Farmer John Bell Sr. resided with his family along the Red River in an area currently near the town of Adams. According to legend, from 1817 to 1821, his family and the local area came under attack by a mostly invisible entity that was able to speak, affect the physical environment, and shapeshift. Some accounts record the spirit also to have been clairvoyant and capable of crossing long distances with superhuman speed (and/or of being in more than one place at a time.

Shortly after midnight on May 14, 2008, Brandon Swanson (born January 30, 1989 of Marshall, Minnesota, United States, drove his car into a ditch on his way home from celebrating the end of the spring semester with fellow students from Minnesota West Community and Technical College's Canby campus. Uninjured, he got out and called his parents on his cellphone. Unsure of his exact location, he told them he believed he was near Lynd, and they drove out to pick him up; however, they were unable to locate him. Swanson remained on the phone with them until he went silent 47 minutes later after exclaiming "Oh, shit!" He has not been seen or heard from since.
Vanessa Rosalia Marquez (December 21, 1968 – August 30, 2018) was an American actress. She was primarily known for her recurring role in the first three seasons of ER as nurse Wendy Goldman, as well as her role as Ana Delgado in the 1988 biographical drama film, Stand and Deliver.
Prior to her death, Marquez made headlines related to the #MeToo movement, alleging that she endured harassment while on the set of ER. In October 2017, she accused series star George Clooney of helping to "blacklist" her after she complained to executives about the harassment. Clooney denied the allegations.
Victoria Barrios was only 18 years old when she was the unintended victim of a shooting. She was murdered on August 30, 2019.

Yohanes Kidane has been missing since Monday, Aug. 14 and was last seen in San Francisco, California after traveling by a rideshare service from San Jose, California, according to a statement to The Sun by the San Jose Police Department on Monday, Aug. 21. On Aug. 14, Kidane entered a black Toyota Camry with an Uber sticker on 28 N 4th St., San Jose.
The 2009 Taconic State Parkway crash was a traffic collision that occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009, on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Mount Pleasant, near the village of Briarcliff Manor, New York, United States. Eight people were killed when a minivan, being driven by 36-year-old Diane Schuler, traveled 1.7 miles (2.7 km) in the wrong direction on the parkway and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV. Schuler, her daughter and three nieces, and the three passengers in the oncoming SUV were killed. The crash was the worst fatal motor vehicle crash to occur in Westchester County since July 22, 1934, when a bus crash in Ossining claimed twenty lives.

As a teenager, she worked part-time at a local Dairy Queen. While working behind the counter in 1978, she met Paul Snider, a local promoter who The Canadian Press described as a man with a penchant for tailored suits, floppy hats and flashy cars.
Snider charmed young Dorothy Hoogstraten and eventually convinced her to pose nude and he sent the photos to Playboy magazine. That's where the Hollywood dream went wrong.
The afternoon of Wednesday April 15, 1992, was typical for Lisa. She left school around 4:30 and drove directly to a card and gift shop where she worked weekdays from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Lisa's body was found 4 days later on Easter Sunday in a wooded area.
Who could murder such a young innocent child like Michael Lyons? Robert Rhoades . He was no stranger to the justice system a serial killer and rapist who preys on the young and innocent people. In April, 1984, he kidnapped, raped and murdered Julie Connell in Alameda County while she studied at a Pleasanton Park. Four days later, he robbed another woman in San Lorenzo, CA.
One year later, in April 1985, Rhoades kidnapped, robbed, sexually assaulted and tortured a woman at knifepoint in Yuba County. Rhoades told the victim that he was taking her to the river bottoms in Marysville to kill her. This victim jumped from a moving car to save her own life. In 1993, Rhoades sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in Amador County. A few years later murdered Michael Lyons.
