Description

Purposeful Women of God began as both Ashlee and Tabitha were seeking a way to minister to women of all walks of life. As they were praying, the Lord began to impress on Ashlee’s heart to begin a podcast and to ask Tabitha to join her. It didn’t take Tabitha long to commit because God was working in her heart as well.

When we say we want to “change our focus from me to THEE,” it’s because we recognize that our world is bombarded with self-help guides, and while these are not all bad, we know that the only way we can have true joy and contentment is to find our purpose and calling that only comes through discovering who we are in Christ. Join us as we begin to change our focus from ME to THEE!

This week, we’re continuing our 4-part series, The 4 G’s to Staying Focused on Christ! In the first two episodes, we talked about how we should Grow in our walk with the Lord and Guard our hearts from the things that pull us away from Him.But today, we’re shifting our focus to what we should Guide our hearts toward — the good, the holy, and the life-giving things that reflect the heart of Jesus. Just like good parenting isn’t only about saying “no,” our faith isn’t just about avoiding sin — it’s about choosing what’s better. Paul reminds us in Colossians 3:10–16 to put on the new man — to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, forgiveness, love, peace, and gratitude. When we do this, our lives begin to look more like Jesus — full of purpose, peace, and joy.Tune in now to hear the full message and be encouraged to “put on the new man” this week!God Bless from Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Are social media, busyness, or worldly goals stealing our focus? We’ll explore how distractions lead to spiritual drift and how returning our gaze to Jesus restores peace, purpose, and power.Through Paul’s encouragement, real-life statistics, and timeless truth, we’ll discover that when Jesus becomes our life — not just a part of it — everything else finds its rightful place around Him.Let this episode inspire you to realign your focus, grow in your walk with the Lord, and live each day with eternity in mind. In today’s episode we are diving deep into one of life’s biggest questions: “How can we experience the goodness of God when life itself isn’t always good?”We’ve all faced seasons of hardship—moments when trials feel bigger than our faith, when the waiting is long, when pain feels unbearable, or when we’ve fallen short ourselves. But through the life of David, we’re reminded that God’s goodness is constant, even when circumstances aren’t.David faced giants, wilderness seasons, deep personal loss, and even the consequences of his own sin—yet through it all, he remained a man after God’s heart. His story gives us a practical roadmap for walking in the goodness of God, no matter what life looks like.We hope you enjoy this episode and don’t forget to share with your family and friends! Today is the final episode of our Planted, Rooted, and Grounded series. The main lesson today is that being grounded in Christ goes beyond salvation, it’s growth that helps us become immovable in our faith. Just as deep roots anchor a tree through storms, our strength comes not from circumstances but from Christ, whose power is made perfect in weakness. Grounding happens as we stay in God’s Word, cultivate a receptive heart, and mature in faith until we bear fruit and plant seeds in others. When we are planted, rooted, and grounded in Jesus, we can endure trials, resist deception, and live fruitful lives that honor God and impact the world. We hope this lesson encourages you to become grounded in your faith!God Bless From Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. In today’s episode we will be covering the entirety of James chapter 3 discussing the influence of our words. Our words have the power to build up or tear down and ultimately what’s in our hearts will be reflected in our words. If our hearts are full of envy, bitterness or strife we’ll be talking about people or engaging in conversations that do not edify the Lord or our churches but if our hearts are full of love and if we are seeking biblical wisdom our conversations will be pure and honest and uplifting to one another. Think about how you’re using your words and the conversations you are engaging in - Remember Paul likens our tongues to a raging fire just one word or one wrong conversation and you can cause damage that is unrepairable. In the same sense one word or conversation can spark a revival, a word of encouragement can pull a friend out of the pit and an honest conversation could save a persons soul. Are you choosing to speak life with your words or are you causing destruction? After all God has called us to build bridges not walls!Listen now for the full teaching!God Bless From Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Happy Tuesday PWG Fam! We are excited to be wrapping up chapter 2 of James today specifically looking at verses 14-26. In this chapter James is conveying the importance of works in your life if you are a saved Christian. So many people take verses within this chapter out of context to back up their need for a “works based” salvation but it’s important to note the context of the entire book of James. We mentioned this in the first episode in this series but James is writing this entire book to the church, in other words to saved Christians. This entire book is about Christian practices so he’s not trying to convert people to Christianity he’s trying to teach saved Christians what should be evident in their life if they have truly trusted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. In writing to the saved Christian James is saying if you have true faith, true saving faith, works will be evident in your life. In other words you will be serving the Lord and there will be fruits of your labor.Listen now for the full teaching you don’t want to miss this one! Have you known people that just hang around certain people for the status or notoriety it gives them? What about at church, have certain members been treated differently than others because of their societal status? Showing favoritism to some while neglecting others has been an issue since the beginning of time and it’s what James will be addressing in the lesson we are teaching today. We will be diving into chapter 2 today looking at verses 1-12. We have all been guilty of showing favoritism from time to time but we hope by the end of this lesson that you’ll realize we are all just sinners saved by grace. Nobody is above anybody else and while we may differ in our economic status, race, social position etc. we all have common ground when it comes to the gospel!Let’s all start living out the 2 greatest commandments that have been given to us:  Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. We hope you enjoy this episode and thank you for supporting us and the podcast! Today we’re going to be looking at what temptations are, where they come from and how we’re tempted. Just as trials have no respect of persons temptations will also come to everyone which is why it’s so important to be spiritually prepared at all times. The most important thing to remember in this lesson is that God will never tempt you with sin. While temptation is the devil’s playground how we respond to temptation is a personal choice that we make on our own. It’s easy to blame others for the sin in our life but we must remember we have our own free will and we are ultimately responsible for every decision we make.We hope this lesson is an encouragement to you to stay close to the Lord at all times so when the devil comes seeking to devour, you’re able to withstand his temptations.God Bless from Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co.
