Michael Grassman of Soundcheck Entertainment has partnered with the Wiconsin Area Music Industry to bring the 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands to Madison for a semi-final showdown featuring 9 bands at the Bur Oak and the Finals in March at Rally Point Station in Occonomowoc. On December 26th 2024 911 operator Alyssa Engen answered an emergency call from a frantic wife at a live music venue whose husband had just gone down while playing drums.  And like that, Ayssa stepped into the moment to bring the impossible situation under control and start saving a life. Mine.  Now, Alyssa and her husband Tom want to save another life, a child’s life. Together they are looking to adopt a child and the process is daunting with challenges both legally and financially.
