🎙️ Episode 6: He — Principles for Expanding PerspectivePsalm 119:33–40 opens with the Hebrew letter He (pronounced “hay”), often associated with breath, revelation, and looking deeper. This section reminds us that not every opportunity comes as an open door—sometimes, we have to look for a window. In this episode, I’ll walk through:What He represents in Hebrew and how it invites us to see differently when doors aren’t clear.Three principles from verses 33–40 that expand our perspective through God’s Word:Check for windows — take initiative and look for opportunities instead of waiting for them to land in your lap.Change the viewpoint — ask for God’s perspective when life feels foggy or stagnant.Challenge the comfort zone — let God’s Word disrupt what’s become too familiar and revive your faith. When doors aren’t obvious, God often opens a window. And through His Word, He gives us fresh perspective, clarity, and courage to keep growing—no matter the view.Read on Substack

And through God’s Word, we learn that growth doesn’t start when the opportunity arrives. It begins in the dust, in the waiting, and in our willingness to keep learning.Read Full Post on Substack

🎙️ Episode 1: Why Psalm 119? Why This Series(Season 4 Episode 1)Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible—and for years, I skimmed it. One hundred and seventy-six verses that all sound the same? It felt repetitive. But when I finally slowed down, asked questions, and dug deeper, I discovered something surprising: Psalm 119 isn’t just repetition. It’s a training ground for learning how to love and live God’s Word.In this intro episode, I’ll share:Why Psalm 119 matters and why I’m spending the next several weeks walking through it.Why I’m starting this series on Substack and through video/podcast.What you can expect from each episode (short, practical principles you can actually apply). How you can follow along, reflect, and even share your feedback to make this a real conversation. This isn’t about more content for the sake of content. It’s about slowing down with Scripture, stringing pearls one section at a time, and learning together how God’s Word can transform our everyday lives.FOLLOW ALONG ON SUBSTACKNext up: Psalm 119: Aleph.

Episode Description: Join me on Through the Bible Podcast for a transformative journey through Proverbs, where we’ll look at its profound wisdom on building better habits. In this episode, we explore the impact of habits and discover its unique ability to challenge and refine our character, habits, and daily routines. Along with the challenge, we’ll look at other habits in our lives and how to go about building them (with help from Proverbs). Proverbs teaches us the art of living skillfully, with detailed instructions on navigating life's complexities. Verses to meditate on: Proverbs 18:9 - Whoever is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys. Proverbs 18:13 - If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame. Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you. EPISODE DESCRIPTION: Let's go through the Bible and talk about Matthew 7. In part 2, I want to talk about our identity in Christ and how that relates to developing emotional intelligence. The two gates that Jesus refers to in Matthew 7:13-14 reveal two paths. We can choose one of the two paths to walk on in this life. We can either go through the wide gate which leads to destruction or the narrow gate that leads to life. There are times, though, when we hop between the two gates because of our seasons. Many things happen throughout life, especially things we don’t expect. Yet, even in our most difficult or “less-fiery” seasons, I believe there’s a way to stick to the narrow gate that leads to life. EPISODE DESCRIPTION: Let’s go through the Bible with Oksana (Oksie) Kaparchuk)! In this episode, Tanya and Oksana talk through 1 Samuel 8 and how God never forces His will on us. We can’t blame God for the consequences of sin when He already provided a life away from it. God’s PLANS are for our benefit and IN our best interest to keep us from sin, but we must choose to obey and follow Him to see it happen in our life. We cannot blame God when we choose our own way and then suffer the consequences, because He warned us. God’s Word and commandments are for our benefit. Learning to trust God and open up the platform for His power when we’re weak is essential!  Resources mentioned: Blue Letter Bible app or website Enduring Word Commentary by David Guzik https://www.amazon.com/Jewish-New-Testament-Commentary-Companion/dp/9653590111 Scripture References: 1 Samuel 16:7 - 7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Isaiah 48:17 - “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go. 1 Corinthians 13:2-7 - 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
