It was a week of mixed emotions for the travelling Town faithful with success on the road at Hillsborough on Tuesday night, claiming another scalp in the Carabao Cup – this time Championship side Sheffield Wednesday, but then a humbling 3-0 defeat at Barnet in the league on Saturday, our first away from home all season. After their cup heroics against Man Utd mid-week, Town were brought back to earth with a bump on Saturday; visitors Bristol Rovers inflicting The Mariners first defeat in all competitions this season.
