Under this new brand, a kind of classical film festival was born, extended in time and space, bringing together three pre-existing programmes: the Basque Film Arcive’s Spring season, the Festival classic retrospective and its Klasikoak section. Tort trabaja habitualmente con el cineasta Albert Serra y su última colaboración, Tourment sur les îles / Pacifiction (2022), le valió el Premio César a la mejor fotografía. 2023ko irailaren 29an, Donostia Zinemaldiaren 71. edizioan antolatutako hizketaldien barruan, Artur Tort  argazkigintza-eta muntaketa-lanari buruz mintzatu zen Tabakalerako zinema-aretoan. Sirvió para celebrar, por un lado, el 40º aniversario del estreno en el Festival de Vestida de azul (1983), un documental de Antonio Giménez Rico que recoge las experiencias de mujeres trans durante la Transición, y por otro, el estreno de la segunda temporada de la serie Veneno, basada en aquel filme. En la cita participaron el activista Julen Zabala, el guionista Ian de la Rosa, la actriz Lola Rodríguez y Nacha, una de las seis mujeres trans que protagonizaron Vestida de azul. Vestida de azul:  1983ko Zinemaldiko trans oroimena eta aktibismoa izenburua izan zuen topaketa egin zen Donostia Zinemaldiaren 71. Edizioan, Tabakalerako Z aretoan, 2023ko irailaren 28an. As part of the 71st edition of the San Sebastian Festival, the meeting Vestida de azul: Trans Memory and activism at the 1983 Festival was held in the Tabakalera’s Z Room . The event celebrated, on the one hand, the 40th anniversary of the premiere at the San Sebastian Festival of Vestida de azul (1983), a documentary by Antonio Giménez Rico that follows the experiences of transgender women during the Spanish Transition and, on the other, the imminent arrival of the second season of the series Veneno, based on said film. Williams is Executive Director at Creative Diversity Network and has been working for more than 30 years in television, cinema and the theatre, as well as on policy design in the cultural and creative industries in general; she designed the BFI diversity standards and the equality analysis process at the Arts Council England. 

Gaztelania / Castellano / Spanish El 25 de septiembre de 2023 tuvo lugar en la sala de cine de Tabakalera el encuentro de las y los estudiantes de Nest con Christian Petzold, el cineasta alemán que compitió en la Sección Oficial con Phoenix (2014) y logró el Premio FIPRESCI. En su regreso a San Sebastián en la 71ª edición, no sólo presentó en Perlak la película Roter Himmel / Afire (El cielo rojo) tras ganar el Gran Premio del Jurado en la Berlinale, sino que también ejerció de miembro del Jurado Oficial.  2023ko irailaren 25ean, Nesteko ikasleak Christian Petzoldekin elkartu ziren Tabakalerako zinema-aretoan. Zinemagile germaniarra Phoenix (2014) filmarekin lehiatu zen Sail Ofizialean eta FIPRESCI saria eskuratu zuen. 71. edizioan Donostiara itzuli zen eta Berlinalen Epaimahaiaren Sari Nagusia irabazi zuen Roter Himmel / Afire filma Perlak sailean aurkezteaz gain, epaimahai ofizialeko kide ere izan zen. On 25 September 2023, the Nest students met at the Tabakalera cinema with Christian Petzold, the German filmmaker who was in the Official Selection with Phoenix (2014) and won the FIPRESCI Award. Returning to San Sebastian for the 71st edition, he not only presented his film Red Sky / Afire in the Perlak section, after winning the Grand Jury Prize at the Berlinale. He was also a member of the Official Jury.

Gaztelania / Castellano / Spanish El jueves 28 de septiembre de 2023 la cineasta mexicana Lila Avilés ofreció una clase magistral en la sala de cine de Tabakalera tras la proyección de su segundo largometraje, Tótem, incluido en la sección Horizontes Latinos tras haber competido en la pasada Berlinale. Avilés presentó en New Directors su primera película, La camarista / The Chambermaid (2018), y este año ha sido presidenta del jurado del Premio Nest The Mediapro Studio de la 71ª edición del Festival de San Sebastián. 2023ko irailaren 28an, Lila Avilés zinemagile mexikarrak eskola magistrala eskaini zuen Tabakalerako zinema-aretoan. Bertan aurkeztu zuen Horizontes Latinos sailean programatutako Totem, bere bigarren film luzea, aurretik Berlinalen lehiatu zena. La directora estadounidense, que en 2018 participó con el cortometraje Nettles en Nest, regresó a San Sebastián para presentar en la 71ª edición su debut en el largometraje, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt. La película tuvo su estreno mundial en la sección U.S. Dramatic Competition de Sundance y en su fase de proyecto formó parte del programa de residencias Ikusmira Berriak. 2023ko irailaren 26an, Raven Jacksonek eskola magistrala eman zuen Tabakalerako zinema-aretoan. Estatu Batuetako zuzendaria, 2018an Nesten Nettles film laburrarekin parte hartu zuena, Donostiara itzuli zen 71. edizioan All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt film luzea aurkezteko. Bere lehenbiziko lan luzearen estreinaldia mundu osoan izan zen, Sundanceko U.S. Dramatic Competition sailean, eta bere proiektu-fasean Ikusmira Berriak egonaldien programan parte hartu zuen. On 26 September 2023, the Tabakalera Cinema hosted a masterclass by Raven Jackson. The American director, who participated in Nest in 2018 with her short film Nettles, returned to San Sebastian to present her feature film debut, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt at the 71st edition of the Festival. The film had its world premiere in the US Dramatic Competition section at Sundance and was part of the Ikusmira Berriak residency programme during its project phase.

Castellano / Gaztelania / Spanish Minerva Campos, Violeta Kovacsics y Aida Vallejo son las tres nuevas investigadoras que estos días han disfrutado de la segunda convocatoria de las becas José Ángel Herrero-Velarde. Por un lado, Campos investiga la relación del Festival con la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones de Productores de Cine, la FIAPF; por otro, Kovacsics explora el cine de la Transición y los retos y dificultades que atravesaba en aquellos años el certamen donostiarra; y finalmente, Vallejo se centra en la historia sociocultural del Festival a través del análisis de los espacios en los que se desarrolla. Minerva Campos, Violeta Kovacsics eta Aida Vallejo dira egunotan José Ángel Herrero-Velarde beken bigarren deialdian parte hartu duten hiru ikertzaile berriak. Minerva Campos, Violeta Kovacsics and Aida Vallejo are the three new researchers who have recently benefited from the second call for José Ángel Herrero-Velarde grants. On the one hand, Campos is researching the Festival's relationship with the International Federation of Film Producers' Associations, the FIAPF; on the other, Kovacsics is exploring the cinema of the Transition and the challenges and difficulties faced by the event in those years; and finally, Vallejo is focusing on the socio-cultural history of the Festival by analysing the spaces in which it is held.
