Description

Welcome to Beulah Alliance Church! We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-campus church in Edmonton, Canada. Our vision is to awaken greater Edmonton to King Jesus. As we follow Jesus, we do this together through the practices of Gather, Grow, Give, and Go—we will be changed by Jesus, become like Jesus, and join Him in what He is doing in the world. We love our church! And we think you will too.

This weekend we’re going to find out why silence matters so much, and I think you will be surprised by a few things along the way as we learn and experience what God has for us.
This weekend we will be looking at biblical and practical paths that will help us return to joy and delight in those moments when that's the last thing we might be feeling.
We will be looking at three ways that practicing attention will cultivate and nurture the health of our souls. By learning how to practice attention in these three ways, we will begin building a life of deep attentiveness to the reality of God, a life of deep awareness to the presence of God, and a life of deep openness to the move of God.
How did you respond the last time someone asked you, "How are you doing?" What was your answer based on? Now, what if someone asked you, "How is your soul?" What would you base that answer on?
Will you have the courage, humility, and faith to bring your needs before Jesus this weekend? Will you ask Him to serve and heal you, just as Bartimaeus did?
After the Israelites had turned their backs on God (something they, unfortunately, did time and time and time again) and were sent into exile, God said something that must have sounded very peculiar and out of place to them, they likely thought they had misheard. Weren't they meant to be a distinct people?
In 2 Timothy 3:12, it states that "all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." While this definitely seems true for the persecuted church worldwide, is this also true for those of us living in Greater Edmonton?
We think following Jesus is like this, or that following Him will get us that, but as we'll discover this week, Jesus has a completely different perspective and vantage point.
Through your identification with Jesus, the cross and the resurrection, through taking up your own cross, and by his resurrection power at work in you, you can be okay, in your soul and your heart and your mind, you can be okay, even in the midst of difficult things.
It is absolutely and incredibly worth it to follow Jesus—no matter the cost.
What has your heart...? What's there in the morning, there in the evening, there when you're waiting, and there throughout the day? Is it something? Or someone?
When Jesus said, "...whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it", what was he talking about? Like a little child? What does he mean by that? How can we have child-like faith?
Now whether you're married, remarried, divorced, or single, this is a topic that touches all of us because of how prevalent divorce is in our culture today. Instead of unpacking it from the perspective of the religious leaders who came to Jesus and essentially asked, “When and how is it okay to get a divorce?”, we will unpack this passage from the perspective of Jesus’ vision and intention for marriage.
What happens when you read something in the Scriptures that seems like an exaggeration, but you're not quite sure because there's no body language? What do you do then?
Have you noticed how increasingly divisive our culture has become? It's more polarized, politicized, and weaponized than we've ever seen before. In a culture and world like this, what does it look like to live as faithful disciples of Jesus?
Our culture celebrates being the best. So, as disciples of Jesus, should our lives look any different? Should we be any different? Should our understanding of being first and being the greatest be different from the world's?
