We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda. It’s Thursday, which means the first edition of Scalding Hot Takes! This one might have been a potential ESTY winning edition of Hot Takes... After that, we dipped into the Courageous Moment by Alberta Blue Cross. What's courageous this week is how much water Dusty has been carrying for the CFL since Monday. The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff!
Voice of the Riders Dave Thomas was the first guest on today’s show. He stopped by to preview this week’s do or die game for the double e when they face the Riders on Saturday. He also shared his thoughts on the changes made earlier in the week. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. After the break, it was then time for I Got Beef! The boy’s had some very valid beef on today’s program. Reid Wilkins capped off hour two with an unreal Chet Palmer impression. He shared his thoughts on last night’s game between the Oilers and Kraken, more specifically he highlighted Tomasek and Leppanen’s play. He finished with his take on this week’s huge game between the Elks and Roughriders!

Dusty briefly touched on his dentist appointment from last night, we then laid out the show. We then hit Morning Announcements from Goat Track to recap all the major headlines from yesterday in the world of sport. After the break, it was time for Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel to recap last night’s game against the Kraken. To finish off hour one with we got Fired Up from Gemco Fireplaces. Evan Bouchard was ranked 39th as the leagues best player... Does this make you fired up?!

Eric’s Weekly Rankings of Power! Today, Lt. Eric ranked the top 10 future changes he would like to see in the CFL! The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff!
To start off hour one, we quickly dove into Free Advice from Damon Bunting! Jamie Thomas was the first guest on today’s show. He started off with lots of laughs. We then got right into last night’s game and Toews repping the Jets jersey for the first time last night and how special that was, he then shared how big of a role Toews has to play this season in order for the Jets to succeed. Thomas finished with his thoughts on a Kyle Connor extension, and whether or not he’ll be resigning in Edmonton. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. In the middle of the hour, Matt Scianitti stopped by to discuss all things CFL football. Scianitti shared his thoughts on the changes announced earlier in the week, Rourke’s comments he made on Monday and finished with some international women’s Rugby talk. Hour two capped off with Eric Macramalla and all of his shenanigans. He as well chimed in on the CFL changes made earlier in the week and shared why he likes them, but did the CFL do enough!?
We are back with another edition of The Nielson Show right here on Edmonton Sports Talk! The show got rolling with a little more love on Tommy’s birthday yesterday & plenty of Macramalla intros. Dusty then laid out the show. It was then time for Morning Announcements for Rundle Park Short Course! The Oilers beat the Jets yesterday in preseason action and Ike Howard scored. YTT had some thoughts on this. After the break it was time for Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel! In this segment we touched on the lack of anticipation for this year’s preseason and the Vasily Podkolzin signing. We finished the hour with MMMMMM That’s Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop to discuss McDavid and Draisaitl both starting the season on the first line.

Jared from Popeyes stopped by to feature their new Hot Ones chicken sandwich, chicken wings and their last dab ranch which were all tremendous! Joaquin Gage was the final guest on today’s show. He started with some food talk, we then transitioned to some CFL discussion where he voiced his opinion on yesterday’s huge announcements. And as always, Gager finished with his thoughts on some F1. The theme of today’s show is all CFL, and that continues in hour two with our first guest Dave Naylor. He gave his initial thoughts on the changes announced from yesterday’s conference. Touched on why the league is making the changes now and finished with his thoughts on what Nathan Rourke had to say about the changes… It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. In the middle of the hour, CFL commissioner Stewart Johnston joined the show. The boys had plenty of questions and the commish had all the answers. To finish off hour two, it was time for Weekly Confessions presented by Spectrum Rent All! As always, some great confessions from the boys today.

He finished with his thoughts on the CFL announcement happening later today, what he would like to see changed and what he hopes stays the same. A lot happened in Oil Country over the weekend, including the Oilers unveiling their third jersey for this upcoming season. What your thoughts, is it bad, is it good!? He first started with his thoughts on whether or not he thinks the Jays will finish the season first in their division… He then touched on the Mariners and Cal Raleighs brilliance from this season. Lacques finished with his thoughts on Shohei Ohtani, how great he is and still how overlooked he is to some. It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. Today, we discussed how good of a game it will be when team Canada’s women’s team takes on New Zealand.
