Description

Welcome to Mija, Stay Mad! — a podcast dedicated to slowing down, reflection, and redefining freedom on your own terms. Here, we honor the power of our own stories as growth, while staying mad enough to fiercely pursue what truly makes us free and happy.

While life is full of unspoken rules and expectations that don’t always serve our pursuit of happiness, I am here to help you question, release, and intentionally craft a life rooted in self-compassion and courage.

Mija, at my big pause, “Y antes que se acabe todo esto, voy a vivir mi vida” (Antes Que Se Acabe). I stumbled so you can sprint. Grab the lessons, skip the regrets.

Hosted by Vee, Mija, Stay Mad! blends storytelling, reflection, and candid conversation to inspire those ready to rewrite their narrative, honor their own pace, and stay committed to their unique journey toward freedom and fulfillment.

After a year of experimenting with healing on the original podcast, Maybe This Is How It Starts, regulated our nervous system through unconventional methods in mental health. We return in the midst of midlife, sharing what life has been, is and is expected to become.

Mija, one day you’ll be my age, and I’ll be your ancestor.

Until then — stay mad. Stay soft. Stay free.

Escaping the Matrix

Carl was born into war. When he was just a toddler, he often woke up to his mom’s panicking voice asking him, his siblings and his father to run to the bunker and hide. At the age of 12, he fled his home country heartbroken. These events always created questions in his mind & heart. Why is this happening to him? Why do people kill each other? Why do innocent families have to suffer the consequences? To find answers to his pain, Carl went on a journey. He tried to find salvation in sports, romantic relationships, new personas, ambitious careers, & business start-ups. He also explored religion, psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, books, seminars, and spiritual gurus. He questioned everything, including these methods.Despite his efforts, he couldn’t find a truly freeing approach. Each one had its benefits but was also complicated & binding. After years of assimilating their essence, he realized that the foundation of transformation was incredibly simple. Today, he shares it with other spiritual seekers. He shares how he applied it to go from confusion to clarity, from being medicated to free of medication, and from depression to lasting enthusiasm.
