Geoff Surtees has been a Randwick and Coogee local for about 20 years. He decided to take some personal time out from the workforce to focus on his marketing business from home. He then decided to take up some part-time work and saw the ad for school crossing supervisors and thought that would be a great job as it would give him time during the day. Little did he know how rewarding it would be to interact with students, teachers, parents and the neighbours of the school. When he wakes up in the morning he always looks forward to meeting and greeting the students, knowing that, not only does he get a chance to chat with them, but he is keeping them safe too.
