Mary Danielsen Originally aired 7/10/25: Mary takes on a topic that may be hard to hear, but is necessary, and few in the church are speaking out about it. The passage is 2 Timothy 3:1-5. When the Bible talks about perilous times, we tend to think about those headlines that appear suddenly and stand the world on its head - birth pangs, wars and rumours, Israel. And yet these verses point to a peril no one wants to talk about: the human heart. And not of unbelievers, but in the church. How in the world did we get here, loving self more than God? And yet, churches are battling this ill more and more to the point where believers are staying away. Yes, lack of sound doctrine plays a part - sometimes. But when narcissism begins to work its evil throughout a church, flowing primarily from controlling and unaccountable leadership, who is watching out for the sheep? What is a "form of godliness"? Why does Paul say to avoid such? What are the qualifications for pulpit ministry? Christians tend to be gracious and put up with a lot of mischief from leadership, as long as the doctrine is sound. But what does God think about those who mistreat His people? Let's let the Word do the talking on this one, but talk about it we must. The gentiles lord it over others, but it should "not be so among you". A challenging hour on an elephant-in-the-room topic. PDF transcription - click here. Mary welcomes back Dr. Alana Arguello to discuss "The Yoga You Don't Know". The best way to address this New Age practice is by taking it step by step, making sure we understand by the time we are done that yoga does not belong in the Christian life. There is no amount of justifying or reconstructing it to make it anything other than Hinduism. Even if you don't practice it, does your wife? Are your kids being groomed into the New Age in the schools? What about the health food industry, and their claims of a spiritual connection through such things as tea, or supplements? We talk about all the things that people think it is, but it is paganism, pure and simple, and God warns against it. In this day and age, if a believer even says "paganism" in public, people tend to be puzzled by that, it's so - old-fashioned. And that proves a major point of the discussion today, thinking we can repackage something and, "poof!" it's real meaning disappears. This is one of those myths about yoga. Dr. Arguello is an apologist specializing in yoga, Eastern worldviews, apostasy, and where it all fits in with the Bible. She serves on the board of the International Society of Christian Apologetics. Her book, "Unearthing Yoga's Ancient Roots", can be found here.  Here's a transcript - click here.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Mary welcomes back Berean Call president Rob Yardley to talk about the importance of continuing to learn, pursue curiosity, and add to our knowledge of how the universe works, and how the God of the Bible, the creator of the universe, can cause us to be objective, rational, thinking creatures who can then boldly bring truth into our own sphere of influence. The Berean Call, begun by TA McMahon and Dave Hunt, has an impressive body of apologetics work built up over decades to come alongside believers who want to understand all the variances and downright lies embedded in so much of the Christian culture today. If you want to know the basics of apologetics, there is no better place to start than TBC. We also take a look at some pretty smart men who research Creation Science in the areas of DNA, the flood, and entropy. While some of it is far deeper than many of us might hope to go, we understand from their work that the God we serve is powerful, omniscient, and still has us each in the palm of His hand, worthy of our praise. A fun hour with Rob and the things that he studies and communicates via the gifts God has given him. Tim and Mary tentatively take on a news cycle that could change rapidly- and dramatically. It's hard to pinpoint a time in recent history that gave us rapid-fire, game changing and game-over type events to further confuse and mystify all who behold them. Today we take on terror and proxy states and how in the world is this going to end in the Middle East? While we know plenty from Scripture, we know little about the game afoot from a political stance. But wait, there's more: talking about 6G as something far more than the latest standing in line event for the new iPhone. It really IS a game changer if you understand the coming Beast system. We talk about Keir Starmer and the UK timeline for a national ID. It's not like we don't expect these things - when only a few years ago we marveled at these things. And the whole world will "marvel at the Beast" (Revelation 13:3). Nothing at all, nothing, should surprise prophecy students today, we're just confirming what you already expected. Some day, it WiLL be "Game Over" for planet earth, ushering in the glorious, righteous kingdom of Jesus Christ. JB Hixson: True North

JB Hixson: True North

2025-09-3055:52

Dr. JB Hixson Mary welcomes back JB Hixson to take a closer look at his latest book, "The Great Last Days Apostasy". With seemingly so many different ways in which the church has lost the plot regarding her mission, events of late dictate that perhaps the chapter in his book on falling away politically deserves a second and third look. While the church seems to think that saving the American way of life from imploding should include a side order of the gospel, and while that is a noble thought, we should rather ask, "what are we missing?". Maybe the overarching question should be, "what are we losing?" as politics takes center stage more and more. The passing of the head of TPUSA has revealed many things about the church here in 2025, and the biblical maturity of those who are inheriting it. We talk about Christian Nationalism, the marriage of politics and faith; Dominion Theology, postmillennialism, and why Americans are so obsessed with politics. What is the Left? What is the Right? Is it really just Coke or Pepsi? Are Christians so naive to think that there is salvation of ANY kind in politics, considering who owns the systems of the world? A challenging hour to think long and hard about things that come and go, and things that are eternal.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Mike Jewell Today’s FRESH NEW Stand Up for the Truth Podcasts features host Dave Wager with guest Mike Jewell, founder of Family Connect Wisconsin, applying James 1:27 to real families in crisis. Mike explains how churches can become the point of care for vulnerable kids by meeting vetted needs from local caseworkers, then building relationships that lead to stability and discipleship. The tool is simple: a request is posted, a donor funds it, a church delivers it, and a connection begins. Dave underscores that kids don’t just need lectures, they need living examples of Christlike love. Listeners hear stories of beds delivered, meals shared, and single moms supported, along with early impact numbers and a vision to expand county by county. The invite is clear: pray, give, and form a small church response team so families see healthy believers up close. Pure religion visits the vulnerable and keeps unstained from the world. When the church shows up, kids are protected, parents are strengthened, and communities see the gospel in action.
Today's edition of Stand Up for the Truth with guest John Haller focuses largely on the global eyes that are perpetually on Israel. Each week brings more Middle East mayhem, and a lot of it is lost on the US because it's not getting reported. We talk about the danger that Syria has become, the UN and their duplicity, always, when it comes to Israel; the Palestinian state that does and doesn't exist all at the same time; and how any nation can jump on this delusion is mystifying. We dive into the Judea and Samaria dilemma and Trump's take on that; we discuss the 21-point plan floated by Trump and what that might contain. Also on our list is Qatar's double trouble, technology and so much more. John Haller is an in-demand speaker, pastor and has an agile mind that is capable of storing more information than many of us would ever hope to have, and in these times, that is a gift.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Mary welcomes back David Bowen, founder and Sr. Pastor of Standing Stones Community Church. David is an in-demand speaker and adjunct professor of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. He has a heart for Bible prophecy, and in 2010, he and his wife founded Interpreting the Times. His podcast, The Final Hour, is a must-listen for prophecy perspectives and for updates on the nation of Israel, including his recent trip when he spent time with the IDF. David tells us things that we would not be able to access here in the West, and it is eye-opening. The war on terror, the Israeli people just trying to scratch out their day, the soldiers, the media - it is a complex and spiritual situation that requires that the heart and mind be focused on God and His Word, not the ignorance and lies of the media that has only a portion of the story. We talk about the Nova festival, the massacre that occurred on October 7, 2023. How can the church help the people get things they need to continue this fight? David has some incredible experiences and insights to relate to us all.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Today Tim and Mary take a look at the phenomenon of political talk via radio, podcast, or The Tube. How did we get to the point where the saturation of political talk takes us down a violent road? Rush, Paul Harvey - political talk pioneers of the 20th century - what would they think of all this chaos? Then we look at Day 718 of the war in Israel. Another anniversary of October 7th looms and while God has kept Israel, and multiple terrorists are in eternity, so many issues remain. Palestinian statehood is forever on the table, but only for her enemies, Satan's useful tools. State of confusion is more like it. We also talk about Albania and a government bot, something new under the sun? Bot for President? How about Antichrist? How are we even talking about such a thing? A full hour of planetary insanity. Today Mary looks at a pivotal passage in Acts 16. We lay a groundwork of gratitude and thankfulness which are to mark our days on this earth. This is part of who we must be, to reflect to a lost and dying world our gratitude for the provision of salvation. If we are not thankful and filled with hope, who will be?  Then we widen the lens and talk about Lydia and her testimony. The book of Acts is loaded from beginning to end not only with the history of the church and the Jew/Gentile paradigm, but contains patterns of living and dying we need to hear about even in 2025. Applications abound, and Lydia’s story is no exception. Plus: on this Paul’s 2nd missionary journey, we find a world-altering event that even Paul couldn’t have planned for. God is in the details, just like He is with each of us. Be encouraged! He is on the throne and here we are in the West, fruit of – Acts 16.     Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Original airdate: 9/17/24: Mary Danielsen catches up with Mark and Amber Archer, a husband and wife filmmaking team and founders of the filmmaking ministry, Fearless Features. With over 30 years of combined production experience they are on a mission to share hope in Christ around the world through feature films, documentaries, podcasting, books and more. Today's topic is "Title IX", the name of their recent documentary, their fourth title. A spinoff of a previous film, "Dysphoria", it is a deeper look into the history of that civil rights legislation which was primarily designed to protect women in the education and sports systems to be free from discrimination. However, with Biden's 2024 updates to the law, the rights of gay and transgender have taken precedence. How are these changes going to affect our nation? With 26 red states bringing lawsuits before the August deadline, what is the latest on this unnecessary and likely illegal action? All that and more with the Archers.
Mary welcomes back Jameson Taylor of American Family Association to continue our focus this week on engaging the culture, for the common good. While the gatekeepers change, the rules of engagement do not: the Bible as the moral authority for every human who ever lived. Today we shine a light on some of the important issues. Speaking of the rulebook, we chat about Texas and Oklahoma's reintroduction of the Bible into public education. Bold and likely to be framed as forcing our worldview on others, there is no forcing, considering we as believers have been enduring the worldly worldview our entire lives. It's more of a skirmish in a much wider war. We discuss discourse in the face of marketplace vitriol from those who want to be self-ruled; Costco's decision not to distribute the abortion pill; and some activity in the Wisconsin legislature. We can never be over-equipped in a world that still needs to figure out what a woman is.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Mary welcomes back Natasha Crain to talk culture - and define it in light of Jesus' words in John 15:18. What do we mean when we say culture? And why would Jesus tell us they will hate us, unless they know what we believe? Natasha's current book, "When Culture Hates You" is a clear and articulate look at a very timely subject as Christians find themselves more and more in the crosshairs of 2025 culture, which is different from 1958 culture, which might be varied in 2030, should the Lord tarry. What are the rules of engagement? Soup kitchens, alternative lifestyles, abortion? Who is to say what the rules are today in light of the killing of Charlie Kirk? Making sense of the hostility and moving about society armed with an understanding of the true nature of light vs dark is an important conversation today, and loving the people around us who do not know Jesus, how do we advocate for the common good? We talk about the gatekeepers in society and what it takes to be admitted - or shut out - of the public square.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Today, Tim and Mary take a break from the current loop of a news cycle and focus on words - they matter. Pastor Claude Stauffer, a frequent guest on Stand Up wrote a post last week entitled "Words Matter" - and the more we thought about it, and the Word made flesh, the more we came to realize just how significant last week's events have become. What does the Bible say about a world full of words - both lies and truth? About the tongue in James 3? About Gamaliel's wisdom in Acts 5? There are so many ways we can take what happened and sharpen our witness, become more soberminded about our social media presence, and give God an opportunity to work among us based on HIS word, not man's word. Man's word shapes every cult and false teaching. Satan said "Hath God said?" by Genesis 3. And so much more we can say about this. Join us for a biblical take on our current dilemma of too many words, and sin is not far behind. (Prov 10:19) Let's choose our words carefully, to give life to the hearer. Mary welcomes Ken Ham to the podcast to talk about 50 years of impact through Answers in Genesis. From the start of his life in Queensland, Australia, Ken was surrounded by parents and grandparents who modeled service and an uncompromising love for truth centered around God's Word. Sometimes our testimony is a series of divinely orchestrated events that get us on the same page with God, other times it's a pivotal moment. Either way, who can doubt that it's miraculous, and Ken's story truly is, from the beginning!  From science teacher to AiG, God has had His purposes and plans for one of the most enduring and effective apologetics ministries of modern times. We talk about his youth in Australia, the birth of AiG, coming to American shores, and the Creation Museum project. We learn of experiences both high and low in engaging the culture and standing firm for truth that has made the AiG worldview so eternally effective. The book is "Miraculous! The Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis Story", which can be found here.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Shawn Weber Today's FRESH NEW PODCAST: Dave Wager talks with sixth-grade math teacher and former youth pastor Shawn Weber about schooling, home life, and a child’s heart. Using Proverbs 22:6 as the anchor, they dig into respect in the classroom, impulsivity driven by screens, and how parents can model leadership at home. Shawn explains why he serves in public schools, how Christian teachers quietly witness by the way they live, and how students can respectfully ask faith-forward questions. Dave urges parents to pray for teachers, speak with grace, and partner with the school instead of swiping people the way we swipe apps. Practical helps fill the hour. Ask better questions after school, not “What did you do?” but “Show me what you’re working on.” Let kids teach you what they learned, set short, consistent homework routines, and use bedtime review to lock in memory. Keep AI in its place. Learning is the struggle that forms character, not outsourcing the answer. Aim for feedback, not judgment, when you look at grades. Above all, remember the path is about loving God, walking with Him, and helping your child grow in wisdom as you walk it together.
Mary welcomes back Bible teacher Chris Quintana to get a grip on the times. When people say, "get a grip", what do they mean? Getting a grip on reality in 2025 includes really pausing to see things for what they are. The waves of the sea tossing, with a side of perplexity suggests that God is backing the world into a corner and they are not seeing a way out. What does this look like then? We talk about the chaos that leads to global change, in a number of categories. When Dickens had his beloved Scrooge say, "I'll retire to bedlam", what did that mean? Back in the 13th century, there was a hospital in London for the insane called Bethlehem Hospital, shortened to "Bedlam". When Scrooge was talking to Bob Cratchit about Christmas and the "insanity" of celebrating anything, being merry, when he didn't have two shillings to rub together - that was "insanity". Scrooge further implied that if he were to do that, find himself happy outside of his wealth, he would willingly have himself committed - "retire to Bedlam". This showed his priorities over everything, including people.  The craziness in this world, it is not going anywhere. We talk about the technocrats, rich tech engineers who do see the chaos in the world's systems, and believe that the order that tech brings, and control over everything and everyone, will bring order. We look at various other crises and the answers the world gives to the chaos. A fascinating hour with an articulate man.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Mary welcomes back Bill Wilson of The Daily Jot to pull the curtain back on some inconvenient truths - inconvenient for those who don't like truth telling, anyway. In the aftermath of yesterday's shocking headline of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, sometimes the bedrock of truth will go head to head with wickedness and a high price is paid. Worldviews clash daily in these times, but embedded in the series of decisions that were made to take this man's life over ideology is the true definition of "crossing the rubicon" - and America will take a long time to recover from this, if we do. Today we also discuss the the political polarization fallout of the Sars/Cov pandemic, accompanied by the general declining trust in public health measures that followed, along with more intense political division. If it only took a couple weeks for Fauci and his ilk to shut our country down, why has it taken an additional 4 years to finish a thought on the scam of the century? Well, there are those who are finally getting around to spelling it out. We also chat about lawfare against Trump's agenda, Senator Tim Kaine's radical views, and the myth of the Palestinian State. Set for September 22, the UN is continuing to push hard for that unknown state for an unknown people (see, "terrorists"). But Trump has disallowed visas for Mahmoud Abbas and 80 of his closest friends in terror. Now what? Well, change of venue perhaps. Stay tuned. A full hour with a prophecy watcher and journalist.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
Another news cycle, another opportunity to convey the lateness of the hour - and the lunacy that goes with that. That time is short is so painfully obvious, because at what point does even tech outpace that Revelation 13 scenario? Living on the edge of history has its advantages -  namely, it keeps us on our toes and the edge of our seats all at the same time. Now, if AI genius of the day Peter Thiel is delivering lectures on the antichrist, it might be time to look up. When quakes and volcanoes threaten "global winter", it might be time to look up. When persecution and the Middle East heat up hot as the fires of judgment, it might be time to look up. The point of all of it? Look up! Our redemption is nigh and people are on the edge of sanity it would seem. More news cycle and more mayhem awaits, but it's all good. Take us home, Lord. Mary welcomes Bruce Carroll to the podcast to talk about his story, his life, his art. Bruce is a quintessential musician and artist in every facet. We talk about his early years, how they formed who he is, coming from a broken home. Becoming a Christian was the farthest thing from his thoughts, like most of us. One thread that runs through every testimony from his age group is a love of music, as though that was bound to be part of our lives. How did music enter into his day to day, what was he able to build upon to become such an iconic singer songwriter in the church? We talk about the Grammys, Dove Awards, touring, record contracts, parenting, and grandparenting. Bruce is a compassionate lover of truth, and a true blessing to the church; his heart for people comes through in all he does. We also talk about the point at which the church became an inward-looking entity instead of outward. What was the Apostle Paul's answer to a selfish church? "Have nothing to do with them." An insightful hour with one of the great songwriters of our generation.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Just listening to your latest podcast, titled "Dismissing Doctrine, Islam, Witchcraft." It seems that your guest is promoting the idea that if one rejects the Calvinist doctrine of eternal security, they are "disputing" the Word of God. I'm afraid your guest would be uncomfortable with the writer of Hebrews, seeing he wrote a whole epistle to born again Christians with the intention to exhort these believers to continue in the faith and warning of the danger of rejecting their faith in Christ. Btw I really have enjoyed much of the content on your show.
