what bothered me about The Pitt was how they were telling patients to come back for wound care. or something along those lines also the medical abortion stuff did not seem realistic
Let's convince RFK the microplastics are causing autism and get something out of this for once
wanting to egg them was the correct reaction
100% he's talking about ☆$s: I used to work their and they also wouldn't let me donate the end of day food
oooh a Margaret Killjoy guest episode!!
listening to this in 2024, while dealing with long-covid, is so depressing
I've been bookending this podcast and getting to this episode with the perspective of 4 years later is so deeply depressing
Having mj scheduled at all prevents proper research into both benefits and dangers. My friend is allergic, but can't get ePipens, because her allergist can't test for it, because it's federally illegal. I waited years too long to take cannabis drops for my fibro bc the lack of research. It needs to be fully legalized
This is such a useful and easy to understand explanation of long covid
"Bubba Clause" sounds like what would've happened if they had cast Bruce Campbell instead of Tim Allen for that Christmas movie.
Why in the world would someone rather have doctors trying to hide a drug problem operate on them than have doctors get treatment and then be able to operate on them sober? Our society is very confused
Benadryl allergy could actually be a reaction to non active ingredients: my friend is allergic to milk and kept breaking out in his as Benadryl started to wear off. Lactose is a common ingredient in tablet pills. She switched to gel caps and has no more problems with Benadryl
aaaaah, oh no... potatoes are one of the few things I can eat that reduce my GERD. I'm already vegan, on FODMAP, and allergic to all legumes. I hope I can get away with still eating potatoes
My body doesn't process alcohol properly, so kombucha (normal, not hard) is the most alcohol I can drink. Just to add to the weight of his explanation of different people being able to process different amounts of alcohol.
Every podcast I've bookended the last 2 years reaches this depressing point, where I'm reminded how suddenly the world changed
"zinger" is also the name of that move
I'm glad Robert Evans stopped making predictions because all the terrible things he predicted for 2020, even when mostly in jest, happened
it's totally possible to drink the entire gallon of colonoscopy prep. I managed by using a straw to skip most of my taste buds and then drink some peppermint tea right after.
He isn't making it up: I love the music. Shout out if you also love the music from The Resurrection Men!
This is such a great resource for anyone who loves someone with an alcohol or drug use disorder. ALL doctors should definitely know this information
