If you’ve ever walked into your garden and thought, “I don’t even know what I should be doing right now…” this episode is for you. April is the month where everything starts growing quickly… including you, and without a rhythm, it can feel overwhelming just as fast. In this episode, I’m walking you through a simple, daily garden routine you can come back to every single day.  One that helps you stay present, catch problems early, and build confidence in your garden without adding more to your plate. We’ll talk about what to do in the morning, what to notice throughout the day, and how to slow down and care for your garden in the evening. Because a successful garden isn’t built in one big workday… it’s built in small, daily moments.   In This Episode, We’ll talk About: A simple daily rhythm for your garden in April Why morning pollination can increase your harvest How “bug hunting” helps you prevent pest problems before they start The importance of noticing your garden throughout the day Why watering slowly (with a watering can) changes everything How to stay ahead in your garden without feeling overwhelmed   My Daily Garden Rhythm Morning (10 minutes) Pollinate your plants (tap tomatoes, cucumbers, squash) Flip leaves and go on a bug hunt Look closely—early detection is everything Tie up any plants that need support Water any thirsty plants Midday (just a glance) Notice your garden Check for signs of stress or heat Observe what’s changing Evening (10 minutes) Water again as needed Tie up any plants that need support Harvest something—even if it’s small Do a quick check before you head in   Resources Mentioned In This Episode If you’ve ever flipped a leaf and thought, “What am I even looking at?” you’re not alone. Inside my live class, Wild Child Pest Prevention I’ll teach you: How to identify common pests (and beneficial bugs!) What to do to prevent pests and when to do it How to protect your garden without feeling overwhelmed How to decrease the pests in your garden in one season  Learn more + join us HERE   Connect with Wild Child Kitchen Gardens Facebook: @wildchildkitchengardensInstagram: @wildchildkitchengardensLearn More About Growing With Me:  www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com   If you enjoyed this episode be sure to subscribe, leave a review, and share this episode with a friend who wants to grow their own garden this season. During Holy Week, we’re reminded of a story that both begins and ends in a garden. In this special episode, I’m sharing how the garden has become more than just a place I grow food…it’s become a place where I meet with God. From the very first garden in Genesis to the garden where Jesus prayed to the garden where He rose again, there is something sacred about the soil beneath our feet. And maybe that’s why we feel it when we step outside.   In This Episode, We’ll talk About: Why the garden was always meant to be a place of presence—not just production The deeper meaning behind the parable of the sower and what it teaches us  How tending your garden can mirror what God is doing in you And the powerful connection between what we feed our soil… and how we’ve been fed through sacrifice   If you’ve been walking through a hard season, if you’ve been feeling behind, overwhelmed, or disconnected, this episode is an invitation to slow down, step outside, and remember you are not alone. The Lord Jesus is with you and He has always had room for you.  Meet Him in your garden this weekend and surrender to Him there.   What You'll Learn Why success in the garden (and in life) starts with the condition of the soil  How the parable of the sower applies to both your garden and your heart What your daily time in the garden can teach you about surrender, patience, and growth How to see your garden as a place of peace, not pressure     This week, step into your garden with fresh eyes. Not as something you need to manage… But as a place you’re invited to meet with God. Take a few moments to notice what’s growing, notice what needs tending, notice what’s being restored.   And remember… Maybe the garden isn’t just something you’re growing— maybe it’s something that’s growing you.     Connect with Wild Child Kitchen Gardens Facebook: @wildchildkitchengardensInstagram: @wildchildkitchengardensLearn More About Growing With Me:  www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com/contact   If you enjoyed this episode be sure to subscribe, leave a review, and share this episode with a friend who wants to grow their own garden this season. Every garden begins with excitement. The planning. The planting. The dream of what it could become. But somewhere along the way… something shifts. New plants start calling your name. The initial excitement fades. And without even realizing it, you begin to drift away from the garden you already started. In this episode, we’re talking about the part of gardening no one really prepares you for— 👉 staying present long enough to see it work. Because the truth is this:  Gardens don’t fail because you don’t know what to do. They fail because you don’t stay long enough to experience what works. This is your invitation to slow down, refocus, and return to what matters most.   In This Episode, You’ll Learn:   Why most gardens struggle after planting—not before The hidden pattern of “shiny object syndrome” What it really means to stay present in your garden How the smallest, most overlooked tasks create the biggest results A simple framework to help you build consistency and confidence The Wild Child process of "planting well, tending well, and finishing well.  This is the rhythm of a thriving garden—and a confident garden   Resources Mentioned In This Episode   There are seasons when having someone walk alongside you changes everything. What if the reason your garden struggles later in the season has nothing to do with how you planted it… but when? In this episode of Growing Gardeners, I'm getting a little bossy as I share where I see gardeners get off track every spring—and how to avoid this altogether so that you can grow a garden that you love. If you’ve ever planted your garden, watched it grow beautifully for a few weeks, and then slowly decline until it fades away, while you lose all excitement too, this episode will help you understand why. Gardens aren’t meant to be planted once. They’re meant to grow continuously. And in today's episode I'm going to walk you through how to think differently about your garden so you can keep it producing, thriving, and evolving all season long.   In This Episode You'll Learn   • The biggest mistake gardeners make in spring • Why planting your garden once leads to burnout and empty beds • How succession planting keeps your garden productive • Why planting in rows can create more problems than solutions • The role of companion planting in a healthy garden • How to plan for seasonal transitions in your garden   The 3 Biggest Spring Gardening Mistakes   1. Planting Everything at Once - When everything is planted at the same time, it all finishes at the same time. Learn how succession planting allows you to stagger your harvest and keep your garden producing longer. 2. Planting Crops Alone - Nature doesn’t grow in rows, and your garden doesn’t have to either. Learn how companion planting with herbs and flowers creates balance, reduces pests, and supports healthier plants. 3. Not Planning for Transitions - Plants don’t stay the same all season. Some will bolt, fade, and they will all finish. Learn how to anticipate these changes and keep your garden moving forward with confidence.   Resources Mentioned In This Episode   If you’d like someone to walk through the entire gardening season with you step-by-step, the Kitchen Garden Academy is open for enrollment now. If your garden feels a little overwhelming right now, you’re not alone—and you’re probably right on time. In this episode of Growing Gardeners, I will walk you through what’s actually happening in the garden during this moment of spring. From covering plants during a cold snap to harvesting leeks, pulling herbs that are beginning to bolt, and planting the next succession of seeds, this season can feel like everything is happening at once. But what if that’s not chaos at all? What if it’s simply the rhythm of the spring garden? In this episode, I break down the natural flow of early spring gardening so you can understand what your garden is doing—and what you should be doing right alongside it.   In This Episode You'll Learn • Why early spring gardening often feels overwhelming• The five phases of a spring garden• What to do during a cold snap• How succession planting keeps your garden producing• What to do when herbs begin to bolt• Why gardens are never planted just once   Resources Mentioned In This Episode If you’d like someone to walk through the entire gardening season with you step-by-step, the Kitchen Garden Academy is open for enrollment now. In this episode of Growing Gardeners,  we are talking about three of the biggest truths in gardening. This is my very best advice to you here in the first week of March, and you will really want to lean in on this.  With spring weather arriving, many gardeners feel the pressure.  We want to plant everything, we want a perfect garden, we get paralyzed with all of the options, and we stall.  But let me tell you something, the best gardeners (and the most confident) do the opposite.  My best advice for gardeners in the first week of March is simple, and if you follow it, you will be a different person in June.   In This Episode, You’ll Learn:   Why I think that all new gardeners should just start (even if they are scared) Why you don't have to have it all to have it all The benefit of a mentor in the garden How you can grow right now, this weekend!   Resources Mentioned In This Episode:   Join my FREE "7 Day Planting Week Challenge" HERE Ready to grow a garden that you love? If you’ve ever wanted a garden but felt overwhelmed by where to start, this episode is for you. In today’s episode of Growing Gardeners, I’m breaking down the three seeds that make the biggest difference for beginner and busy gardeners — the ones that build confidence, momentum, and long-term success without overwhelm. You don’t need to start everything from seed. You just need to start the right things from seed. And listen, your garden doesn’t start in spring. It starts with one good decision — and sometimes, that decision is to just plant three seeds.   In This Episode, You’ll Learn: Why starting fewer seeds leads to better results The easiest seed to grow for quick confidence Why tomato variety choice matters more than anything How growing onions teaches you to think like a gardener   Resources Mentioned In This Episode: Success With Seeds — Join my step-by-step seed-starting class for busy women The Wild Child Tomato Report — Get my curated list of tomato varieties that thrive Need some onions?? In this FIRST episode of the brand new season of the Growing Gardeners podcast we are digging in to three things you DON'T need to be successful gardener.  And I am also throwing in three must haves as well!!!  This is a perfectly timed episode as we are gearing up to plant our cool season garden, and probably, making lots of trips to the nursery.  What I have learned in the last 6 years of coaching gardeners is that we love to overcomplicate gardening.  Just like sourdough, fermenting, and everything else, complicated seems to be the norm. This episode is going to help you get good footing for your season so that you can grow a garden you love!!   When you start a new garden season, whether it is your first season or fifty first, there is an urge to buy more, plant more, grow more.  But what if some things that we are spending lots of time and money on aren't even necessary and may be sabatoging our season.  What??? Yep!!  I have alot of opinions on this, so let's dig in!!  And if you feel like you could benefit from more simplified instruction, more encouragement, more accountability, the Wild Child Garden Club doors are open to new members right now!!!  Join us HERE!!   In This Episode You’ll Learn:    Why tillers and tractors and chemical fertilizers are unnecessary for the backyard gardener and that they may actually be causing you more harm than good.   How it always comes back to your soil. No matter what, the soil, and how good or not it is, is always going to be the foundation for everything else we experience in a season.   How timing affects so much more than we understand in the garden.  This is so overlooked.  In this episode we are going to dig into timing and we will learn why this tiny little act of scheduling can define your season!    Resources From This Episode: ➡ Get my FREE planting timeline HERE to know when to plant this season! ➡ Join us in the Garden Club HERE ➡ Still need a little convincing?  Join me in Grow, Gather, Give to start your season with a brand new mindset that increases your harvests and your love for your garden.     ✨ If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with a friend! ✨   Connect With Me Facebook: @wildchildkitchengardens Instagram: @wildchildkitchengardens Get My Weekly Newsletter: www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com/subscribe Learn More About Growing With Me: www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com
On this episode of the Growing Gardeners podcast, you will go to garden church. With an on fire message straight from the heart, Kellye reminds us all of why we want to garden in the first place. As we did in to this mindset shift of seeing our garden with the end in mind we automatically set ourselves up to grow more of what matters most. And we are able to harvest more of what matters most. And we are able to give more of what matters most. If your garden needs a re-vamp.  If you feel less than thrilled with the outcome of this season. If you need new life breathed into your garden space... This episode is for you!!!  And if you put this mindset shift you learn here today into practice, your garden, and you as a gardener, will never be the same!   In This Episode You’ll Learn:   Why it is so important to begin your garden season with the end in mind. How seeing our future garden selves and shifting our mindset gives us a more fulfilling season. What we inadvertently experience when we don't start the season with a right mindset. Why the garden circus is the worst place to be and the easiest place to get to.  And how to make sure that isn't where you end up.   Resources From This Episode: ➡ Join us in the Garden Club HERE ➡ Still need a little convincing?  Join me in Grow, Gather, Give to start your season with a brand new mindset that increases your harvests and your love for your garden.     ✨ If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with a friend! ✨   Connect With Me Facebook: @wildchildkitchengardens Instagram: @wildchildkitchengardens Get My Weekly Newsletter: www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com/subscribe Learn More About Growing With Me: www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com
