What if the most “overlooked” man in the Christmas story is actually one of the most important—and shows us what biblical manhood really looks like?
Simeon isn’t usually the first name we think of in the Christmas story, but his life gives us one of the clearest pictures of what a real man looks like—righteous, devout, Spirit-filled, hope-driven, Christ-centered, and a blessing to others. As we close out our year of focusing on biblical manhood, we’re invited to look deeper: What do we see in Simeon that points us to what a real man truly is?
In this week’s message, Pastor Adam walks through Luke 2 and shows how Simeon’s life wasn’t defined by his own strength or status, but by the only One who is the perfect Real Man—Jesus. Because Jesus is the Savior, Salvation Himself, the Revealer of hearts, the Resurrected One, the Strong and Wise God-Man, we can become the men—and women—God calls us to be.

What if the miracle you’re searching for this Christmas isn’t found in magic, movies, or moments—but in a Person who came on a rescue mission for you?
Christmas Eve reminds us of the stories we love—families reunited, wrongs made right, purpose restored. But the real miracle of Christmas isn’t nostalgia or sentimentality. It’s Jesus: fully God, fully man, the Messiah who came to reconcile us to the Father.
In this powerful message, Pastor Joby walks through John 1 and the breathtaking reality of the Word becoming flesh—the God who spoke the universe into existence becoming small enough for us to know. Jesus came lowly and gentle, not with magic but with authority, compassion, and purpose. He thirsted, yet walked on water. He bled, yet healed with a touch. He died, yet rose again—so that we could have peace with God.
If you’ve ever wondered whether God is both big enough to rule the cosmos and personal enough to love you, this message is for you.
What would change in your life if you went all-in with Jesus this year?

What if the greatest gift of Christmas isn’t something you give or receive—but the One you choose to bow down to?
The Magi traveled nearly 800 miles on little more than a prophecy and a star, believing that if the promised King had truly come, He was worth seeking at all costs. In Week 3 of Real Men of Christmas, we look at these wise men—not for their crowns or status, but for their posture. While Herod clung tightly to his own throne and the religious leaders stayed comfortable in tradition, the Magi refused to miss Jesus. They followed God’s prompting, bowed before the true King, and opened their treasures in extravagant worship.
Pastor Joby unpacks why their response still matters today: because every one of us approaches Jesus like Herod, the religious leaders, or the Magi. And the gifts we bring reveal what we believe about Him—our King, our Christ, our Savior.
As we celebrate Christmas and partner with Compassion International to love “the least of these,” this message invites us to examine our hearts, our worship, and the direction of our lives.
What gift will you bring to Jesus this Christmas—and which direction will He lead you next?

What if the greatest announcement in human history wasn’t given to kings, scholars, or warriors—but to ordinary men working the night shift?
In Luke 2:8–20, the first people to hear about the birth of Jesus weren’t the powerful or prestigious—they were shepherds keeping watch in the dark. In this message, we look at how God used these unnoticed, rugged men to teach us what real strength looks like: staying alert, recognizing our desperate need for a Savior, obeying quickly when God speaks, and returning changed because of an encounter with Jesus.
The shepherds didn’t just hear the good news—they moved with haste, shared what they had seen, and worshiped with transformed hearts. Their story reminds us that real men don’t wait for perfect circumstances… they respond in obedience and lead with courage.
How is God calling you to respond this Christmas?

What do you do when God’s plan interrupts everything you thought your life would be?
Joseph never asked to be at the center of the greatest story ever told—but when God spoke, he listened. In this powerful message, we see how quiet obedience, godly character, and fearless faith positioned Joseph to play a critical role in God’s redemptive plan. Through the miracle of Jesus’ birth, we’re reminded that Christmas isn’t about fame, comfort, or applause—it’s about faithful surrender to a Savior who came to be God with us. If Joseph trusted God with everything… what is God asking you to trust Him with today?

What if the most life-changing word Jesus ever spoke isn’t one we pray, but one we’ve forgotten how to say?

What if the love you feel and the love God commands aren’t the same thing?
Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s the defining mark of spiritual maturity and the foundation of how men are called to lead. In Week 6 of Stand Firm and Act Like Men, Pastor Joby teaches through 1 Corinthians 13 in its true context: unity, leadership, and the daily life of the Church. Even the greatest gifts, achievements, strengths, or sacrifices mean nothing without love. Biblical love is patient, kind, humble, forgiving, enduring, and self-sacrificing—a far cry from the self-focused “love” most of us default to.
Pastor Joby challenges men to look honestly in the mirror, put away childish ways, and leverage their strength not for self-protection or self-gratification but for the good of others. Because love never quits, and we can only love as God commands when we receive the love He first showed us through Jesus.

What if being a godly husband isn’t about how you feel about your wife, but how you love her — even when it costs you everything?
In Week 5 of Stand Firm and Act Like Men, we look at Ephesians 5 and what it truly means to be a godly husband. Biblical love isn’t based on feelings — it’s sacrificial, intentional, and action-driven, modeled after Christ and His love for the church. Whether you’re married or preparing for marriage, this message calls men to lead with humility, pursue with purpose, and love like Jesus. Are you willing to love first, love fully, and love sacrificially?

What if strength isn’t what you think it is?
In Week 4 of Stand Firm and Act Like Men, Pastor Joby Martin shows how Jesus redefines what it means to be strong. Strength isn’t measured by status, control, or success—it’s revealed in surrender. A strong man is one who rests in Jesus, perseveres through pain, walks humbly under God’s authority, and uses his strength to serve others. When we stop striving for worldly greatness and start depending on Christ, we discover that real strength isn’t about power—it’s about purpose. When you are weak, He is strong.
So what would it look like for you to become that kind of man?

We are not called to sit on the sidelines—we are called to stand firm.
Week 3 of Stand Firm and Act Like Men calls men to rise up and hold the line—not in their own strength, but in the strength of the Lord. The enemy’s mission is clear: to steal, kill, and destroy everything and everyone we love. But God has equipped us with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, His Word, and prayer—the full armor we need to fight for our families, our marriages, and the next generation. When you stand firm in your faith, you become the gatekeeper of your home and a warrior for God’s kingdom.

What happens when the defender steps down from the wall?
We are at war. Not against flesh and blood—but against an enemy who would love nothing more than to take men out of the fight. In this message, Pastor Joby calls men to be watchful, stand firm in the faith, and act like men as commanded in 1 Corinthians 16:13–14.
From pride and worry to laziness, isolation, and lust—the enemy uses every tactic to destroy those called to protect and provide. But even when we fail, the gospel reminds us: failure is not final. God Himself restores, confirms, strengthens, and establishes His sons for the battle ahead.
If you’ve ever felt distracted, defeated, or distant from your calling, this message is a wake-up call to get back on the wall and fight for what matters most—your faith, your family, and your future.

What happened to godly masculinity?
In this powerful kickoff to the Stand Firm and Act Like Men series, Pastor Joby Martin challenges the cultural narrative and calls men back to their God-given purpose.
From Genesis to 1 Corinthians 16:13–14, we see that manhood isn’t about muscles, money, or machismo — it’s about being a prophet, priest, king, provider, and protector. God designed men to work with purpose, obey with courage, and love with sacrifice. But sin has distorted that calling, leading to passivity, confusion, and brokenness.
This message is a wake-up call to rise up, reject the lies, and return to the design of the Creator. If you’ve ever wondered what it really means to be a man of God, this sermon is for you.

What if grace isn’t tame or polite—but powerful enough to break chains, change hearts, and carry us home?
Grace isn’t a soft word for a hard world. It’s the fierce, pursuing love of God that goes first, finds us at our lowest, and refuses to let go. From John Newton’s story of rebellion and redemption to Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians, we’re reminded that grace is more than a doctrine—it’s a Person.
In this final message of the Worship Is War series, Pastor Adam Flynt unpacks the truth that grace doesn’t just start our faith—it sustains it. It saves wretches, restores wanderers, and strengthens worshipers. Because when grace runs wild in our lives, the war is already won.
Have you let God’s grace run wild in your life?

What do you do when the battle isn’t out there—but inside your own heart?
We all get fired up about the war out there—but the greatest battle is often the one within. In week four of Worship is War, Pastor Joby unpacks the story behind “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” and the confession that still speaks to every believer: “Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it.”
Through Romans 7, we’re reminded that even when our hearts drift, God’s grace pursues us. Worship realigns our spirit to the truth that Jesus has already won the war—and invites us to come home to the One who never stops seeking us.

What if worship isn’t just singing, but fighting?
Worship isn’t just music—it’s war for your soul. From Carl Boberg’s thunderstorm poem that became How Great Thou Art to David’s praise in Psalm 145, we see that worship is deeply personal, fully surrendered, generational, and rooted in gratitude.
But in the middle of distractions, selfish desires, and the enemy’s lies, worship becomes warfare. It’s the battle to keep our attention and affection on the only One who is worthy. God alone can carry the full weight of our devotion without failing. That’s why we say with confidence, “Then sings my soul, How Great Thou Art.”

What do you do when God does not answer your prayers the way you hoped, or when He does not explain Himself at all? From Horatio Spafford’s heartbreaking loss that gave birth to the hymn It Is Well to Jesus’ difficult teaching in John 6, Pastor Joby Martin shows us that worship is not a warm-up or background music. Worship is war.
In this message, you will see that when life presses in and the valley feels overwhelming, worship becomes the very thing that sustains us. It silences the lies of the enemy and reminds us that Jesus alone is the Bread of Life. Circumstances may never fully make sense on this side of eternity, but the gospel is enough to anchor our souls.
Life is hard. God is good. Both are true at the same time. And in the tension of unanswered questions, worship is how we fight back and declare that our trust is in Him.

This isn’t a concert. It’s not a show. This is war. Worship is a weapon God has placed in the hands of His people to push back the darkness and declare victory in Jesus. What happens when God’s hand comes on a church? Entire cities are transformed.

Joby did an okay job over the years to veil his political leanings. He's all out dropped the guise now. It's really hard for me to reconcile being a member of this church when Joby spent more time and sympathy discussing Charlie Kirk than the two kids that died the same day. (Let alone any other political figure, or child murdered by a white Christian nationalist). Kirk was a bigot who excluded, demonized and spoke reprehensibly about those he disagreed with. The exact opposite of Jesus.
