So I decided that I wanted to pick their wonderful brains, to learn more about them and the cool businesses they’re creating here in Korea and beyond!
So, I’ll be interviewing various people (foreigners and Koreans) who are working in the social and sustainability entrepreneurship sphere here, hearing about their highs and lows and what it took to get to where they are now - basically how and why they just started!

Have you ever heard of the term "biostimulant"? Did you know that actually these tiny organisms could hold the key to saving the environment and potentially...humans as well? Neither did I, until I talked to my friend Marouane Baslam, Founder and CEO of GrowSmart!  Join me on this fascinating talk about Marouane's journey to Korea, and how he's becoming a pioneer in the biostimulants/agriculture field!  Where can you find out more about Marouane? Website: https://growsmart.bio/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/growsmartkorea/  A very special shoutout to Google for Startups Campus in Seoul, South Korea, who have been absolutely incredible throughout my podcasting journey and without whom this would not sound nearly as sharp and crisp as it does now!
Today's guest is the energetic Dogukan Atar! Originally from Turkey, and having lived in the US, life brought him to Korea - initially for 6 months, and still here 4 years later. Now he's aiming to solve one of the key problems for foreigners coming to live in Korea - housing! How is he going to do that you ask? Tune in and find out! Today’s guest on the podcast is Quinn Phan – Founder and CEO of MONA and Vegan and Beyond! Quinn was born in Vietnam and later emigrated to her second home, spending her teens in Savannah, Georgia (USA). Having lived in many countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and the USA, Quinn has settled in Korea for the last 9 years, where she started Vegan & Beyond, an all-in-one vegan restaurant focused on creating a comfortable space for both vegans and non-vegans. She has since closed Vegan and Beyond to focus full-time on her social impact start-up MONA.   MONA was created to address the environmental and social impact of excessive consumerism and waste generation. Their purpose is to build a community-driven platform that facilitates a circular economy and promotes sustainable living. MONA aims to connect people who have items they no longer need with those who can benefit from them, promoting the idea of sharing and reusing rather than buying and discarding. Huge shout-out to Google for Startups campus in Seoul for allowing us to use their amazing facilities – FOR FREE!
