Percussionist Jamie Muir passed away in February 2025. He brought a deeper sense of improvisation and the avant-garde to the Larks’ Tongues in Aspic era of King Crimson. Even though he was a member for a relativity short period of time, his contributions reverberated through every subsequent iteration of the band. Robert Fripp and Bill Bruford have both recognized the impact he had on their playing. And if that wasn’t enough, Muir recommended the initial inspiration for Yes’ Tales From Topographic Oceans. RIP Jamie. Thanks for listening!
