Truth was restored in the order of it's importance. The greatest truth of the Restoration is the truth restored first: the nature and identity of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
What unique role does the Book of Mormon play in the Restoration? Besides providing the foundation of our understanding of Christ, it brings credibility to the Restoration.
The first thing a newly sustained President Nelson said was an encouragement to claim our priviledges in the Priesthood. We need to all understand both the authority and power of the priesthood.
Because we usually discuss priesthood at church, we often assume that the priesthood functions in the home as it does in the church. That is not true. It is vital that we understand the difference.
All that God does in gold, but He has turned the Restoration over to human beings, which mix a little clay into it. We must understand that the Restoration is a mixture of gold and clay. For example, the Prophet is given seeric eyes to see what we cannot see, but he is still a human being with frailties and weaknesses.
To illustrate the role the Church plays in the Restoration, we walk through the early attempts to build the city of Zion, where we stand today, and where we are going.
The Lord needs members who understand the why and they how of missionary work. The Lord protects and preserves those who gather His sheep.
The covenants of the chapel invite us to leave the Telestial world (room) and enter the Terrestrial. The ordinances of the temple then invite us to let go all all things Terrestrial and enter the celestial world (room).
