Description

My name is Dr. Shaniqua Jones better known as #TheOliviaPopeOfEducation. I am dedicating my podcast to two of the people who play an intricate part of my life. My late mother, Mother Odia B. Anderson who transitioned September 2, 2022 and my husband, Mr. Dedrick L. Jones Sr. who suffered a massive heart attack 26 days later, September 28. I am pretty sure you can imagine how this has been the most challenging time of my life. As I navigate this part of my journey, I share my realest moments and even bring a few guests. In our own way, we all relate to what restoration and redemption means. God is.

In this exclusive episode, Dr. Shaniqua Jones—Founder of Purple Path and a global voice in Restorative Justice—invites listeners into a powerful conversation on how truth-telling becomes a pathway to healing. Through her signature framework of Restorative Storytelling, Dr. Jones explores how our greatest wounds can evolve into our greatest wisdom when we choose to speak from a place of restoration instead of reaction. Drawing from lived experience and years of community practice, she challenges healers, clinicians, and leaders to examine the harm that shaped them and to use their healing as a catalyst for others. This isn't about reliving trauma—it's about reclaiming narrative power and transforming personal truth into global impact. Because your story isn't just about survival—it's about transformation.
After a four-month hiatus, Dr. J returns with a raw and inspiring update on life since April—stepping into her new role as Director of Clinical Education at Chicago Integrated Health, finding her voice as the people's advocate, and balancing the heartbeat of Purple Path with caregiving, motherhood, and self-discovery. She opens up about writing her most powerful book yet, The Crown Was Mine All Along, and embracing extraordinary experiences that remind her to live out loud.
Focusing on the importance of family in the healing process, Dr. Jones reflects on how her family dynamics were impacted by grief and illness, and how they have begun the process of healing together. 📲 Follow us at: 🔗 Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | YouTube | LinkedIn – @PurplePathbyDrJ 💜 Join the conversation. Hey hey!  How are you?  Really.  I want to know.  My week started off real sketchy because I had to learn a hard lesson where I had to take all the years of my living and learning to relearn the difference between accountability and judgment.  I thought I knew but those lines can get blurred really quick.  Tune in and let's talk. Love ya!  God is! Grace + JOY, Dr. J
Tune in!  Inspired by Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts latest book, Power Moves, I felt the need to delve deep with my podcast audience with an even more transparent part of my life - this current season.  #PowerMoves God is!  Grace + JOY,  Dr. J
Real Quick. Did you invite and welcome God into your life?  I'll share my conviction.  I want to hear from you.  Follow us on Instagram: @purplepathbydrj
Today! Tuh-DAY (Dr. Sheniqua Johnson), I talk about being tenacious on so many levels.  I even invited a special guest to say, "hello" at the very end of this quick talk with YOU!  Read Psalm 31:24 when YOU have a moment.  God is!  I love YOU! Dr. J
This episode - this discussion, I hold near to my soul because this is a word.  I shared on my social media platforms that caring for a husband that is now fully disabled places me in a predicament to feel like a sinlge, teen mother again.  That lonely and exacerbating feelimg associated with marrying an able-bodied man that I now care for 24/7, 365 is overwhelming and joyful, simultaneously.   Because of what I am experiencing, I want to encourage every couple and family to have those much needed conversations in a proactive way.  Don't wait until you are in the thick of it to make these life-changing decisions.  Share my podcast, especially this episode with the masses. God is! Dr. J
Sweet 16! This is the final episode of the year for season 1 of Restoration + Redemption.  Make sure to tune in to the previous episoded and see how we've grown over the course of the year.  2023 is/was considered the Jordan Year.  By all means, we agree. But, 2024, we are coming for everything God promised us and in order to do so, we have to make sure we are in alignment for the assignment.  Our two words for 2024 are alignment and integrity.   One of the things God laid on my heart is what I shared as one of my Facebook posts.  See below.  "This the one right here! I might elaborate on this topic tomorrow on Restoration + Redemption Podcast !!!! Opposed to setting our minds on the idea that God blessing someone in close proximity to us as being a clear indication that He's about to bless you, let's shift to being authentically happy for that person without the residue of being blessed in addition to what God has already blessed you with. Not saying you aren't genuinely happy for someone when they're blessed but most times when I hear people express gratitude for someone's blessing, it's quickly followed by this "I'm next" mentality! When this happens, there's this unequivocal timeframe placed on when the blessing you're expecting should arrive! Stop playing yourself and stop playing with God. His timing will always override yours!! Let me keep working on me over here!!"   Let's TALK.  God is! Love ya and Happy Holidays,  Dr. J
Dropping some quick knowledge in less than 10 minutes.  This is the new move.  I asked God to give me direction as to how I can continue the podcast solo with a worthy message that provokes positive, sustainable change.  He did just that.  All of our episodes are great but this one here was done in true "Shaniqua" fashion  - vibrant integrity. God is.  Enjoy!
This week we are having a quick talk about the high, lows, and in betweenss related to healing and trauma.  Candid conversation - where I want YOU to respond.  This has been a great outlet for me as I grief the transition of my mom and the husband I had prior to his heart attack and stroke last year. I hope and pray that my words bless YOU in a mighty way! Grace + JOY,  Dr. J
