The Trump administration is taking new steps to end surgeries and puberty blockers for transgender children across the nation, regardless of specific state laws. Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Dr. Oz, says doctors who allow for gender-affirming surgeries on minors are taking a fast-track approach. He says those doctors ignore the true causes of gender dysphoria.
