Episode 5: Christine Finnegan Christine Finnegan has had a love of sport since she was a child. Tennis was her game of choice, where on the court she describes as her happy place. She travelled around the country and played the game she loved, but it was the realisation when she was 15 years old that she wanted to run the tournament rather than play in it. And so, she did. Christine has spent the past 25 years in senior roles across Australian sport at the highest level. Now as CEO of the Tasmanian JackJumpers, she’s helped guide the team to its maiden National Basketball League championship after just three years in the competition. While sport plays a huge part of Christine’s life, the pride in and love for her son sits at the top of her list of her greatest achievements.  TWO AM I Listen Curiously   CREDITS   Hosts: Jack Riewoldt and Shane McCurry   Thanks to our guest Christine Finnegan   To learn more about Christine: Christine on LinkedIn Tasmanian Jack Jumpers on Facebook Tasmanian Jack Jumpers on Instagram Tasmanian Jack Jumpers on YouTube     Links from this episode: Tasmanian Jack Jumpers website Christine Finnegan new Jack Jumpers CEO Jack Jumpers win NBL premiership 2024 Dr Suess ‘Oh the places you’ll go’     Find TWO AM I on social media here: TWO AM I YouTube TWO AM I Instagram  TWO AM I Tik Tok TWO AM I LinkedIn TWO AM I LinktreeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Episode 4: Gerard Whateley Gerard Whateley comes alive when the mic is on but whether he is calling a horserace, covering an Olympics or calling a footy game, he is powered by preparation and just a few nerves, as he says “the nerves show you that it means something to you.” Gerard’s love for sports broadcasting and writing goes back to when he was 13 years old and met his idol and inspiration, horseracing writer Les Carlyon. Since then, he has dedicated his career to that very pursuit, these days as chief sports caller and host of the Whateley program on SEN, co-host of Foxy Footy’s AFL 360 and occasional columnist for the Herald Sun. But dig a little deeper and you will find that Gerard has had his fair brush with Hollywood fame, and the people who inspire him most are found away from the media’s gaze.   TWO AM I Listen Curiously CREDITS   Hosts: Jack Riewoldt and Shane McCurry   Thanks to our guest Gerard Whateley   To learn more about Gerard: Gerard on Instagram Gerard on X (formerly Twitter) Gerard on LinkedIn Gerard on Wikipedia Links from this episode: Whateley on SEN AFL 360     Find TWO AM I on social media here: TWO AM I YouTube TWO AM I Instagram  TWO AM I Tik Tok TWO AM I LinkedIn TWO AM I LinktreeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

But behind that tagline is a genuine want and need for Mykel to liberate the potential in people everywhere – to help them embrace experience, tap into their inner creativity, be confident to express their perspectives and be a force for good at work and in life. And while he works to reignite the passion in others, he is honest about the challenges that exist and has some fabulous insights and advice on how to deal with imposter syndrome and the resistance – because no-one is immune. Episode 2: Peter Chambers   Peter Chambers was looking towards retirement after decades in the banking industry. But those plans and life as Pete knew it, changed forever when he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2018. For many, the MND journey is without a doubt a rollercoaster, as it is for Peter, but not ever wanting his diagnosis to define him, Pete has used it as the catalyst for his positive mindset and desire to help others. His love of cricket and music remain close to his heart, and he speaks candidly about the challenges of MND, but also the incredible strength it has given him and his family to live life to the fullest. Episode 1: Konrad Marshall   Konrad Marshall is a journalist, author, would-be carpenter, husband, father, insufferable Richmond Football Club fan and slow smoked barbecue enthusiast, who is putting his legs on the line in the pursuit of his next book, as a newly minted long-distance runner. While he doesn’t quite remember how writing became him, he reckons his Mum dubbing him ‘arty boy’ and being ‘shithouse’ at maths probably propelled him in that direction, one that he wouldn’t trade for the world. Described as a writer of “uncommon sensitivity, a master of observing the beauty and strangeness in everyday life” Konrad puts himself into everything he pens, bringing the stories of others to life in the most beautiful of ways.   TWO AM I Listen Curiously CREDITS   Hosts: Jack Riewoldt and Shane McCurry   Thanks to our guest Konrad Marshall   To learn more about Konrad: Konrad on Instagram Konrad on LinkedIn Konrad Marshall website Konrad Marshall Good Weekend   Links from this episode: Yellow & Black: A season with Richmond Stronger & Bolder: Inside the 2019 Finals Series with Richmond The Hard Way: The story of Richmond’s 13th Premiership Tom French Pulitzer Prize winning writer What to talk about when running, Haruki Murakami Born to Run, Chris McDougall   Find TWO AM I on social media here: TWO AM I YouTube TWO AM I Instagram  TWO AM I Tik Tok TWO AM I LinkedIn TWO AM I LinktreeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
