Playoff hockey is in full swing and MATB breaks down every series! From East to West the boys lets you know what they've seen through the first round of action. This episode is played out with Heaven by Los Lonely Boys (because playoff hockey is heaven on earth)
Miles Wood's Conn Smythe run begins this weekend, Dane and Joey are here to break it all down. Playoff talk, the 'Yotes move north, and Dane has the night of his life at the UC. This episode is played out with No Time To Explain by Good Kid
Joey and Dane start this episode grappling with the fact that the Blackhawks might not be very good. Then they go rapid fire through the league's storylines as the playoffs draw near. This episode is played out with Loser by Beck.
More cold steel on ice? YES! The boys are back to talk Hawks, Preds, Canucks, and most things in between. This episode is played out with Bad Hoe by Tom The Mail Man.
Without Leo, Joey and Dane are back to pump out some content. Bouncing around the stories in the NHL, the boys tackle everything happening in the show then talk a little college hoops. Today's show played out with Everybody Knows You Cried Last Night by The Fratellis.
After a long hiatus that included Dane coming back where he belongs, the boys are back to talk that cold steel on ice. The gents talk Hawks, trade deadline, then a very poorly aged segment about the Jagr bobbleheads in Pittsburgh (Leo called it). This episode is played out by End of Beginning by Djo.
The boys are all back and feeling the love this week (except for Dane, he was cranky) as the gents get into a little 'Hawks business, Dane desperately tries to get Morgan Reilly to be his friend, then the show wraps with some midseason analysis. Today's show is played out with PROBLEMS by Jungle
All-Star Weekend has come and gone and the NHL (rather surprisingly) knocked it out of the park. Dane and Joey go over what you might've missed this past weekend at the event as well as what was happening around the league. This episode is played out with greedy by Tate McRae (sorry Dane)
With no Dane, Joey and Leo cover a huge scope of topics in the hockey world. The show starts with the ongoing investigation by the London, Ontario police into the 2018 Canadian World Juniors team. Then, Leo and Joey go into some 'Hawks talk, then touch on expansion in the NHL and the ECHL. Today's show is played out by Petey's 'Did I Mention I'm Sorry?'
The MATB boys are back after they spent quite the night hanging with the 'Hawks at the United Center. In a show that goes all over the place, the crew settles on the Blackhawks win over the Sharks as well as the longterm plans for the team (and a lot of silliness in between). The show is played out by Overtime by The Strike
Joey and Dane man this week's show down a man as Leo is MIA. The boys solider on to talk about the 'Hawks limping forward in the absence of half of their Day 1 starters, the Leafs extending Willie Nylander into eternity (8 years), and Cutter Gauthier forcing his way out of Philly.
Back after the holiday season, MATB kicks of the new year on a great note by missing the Bedard news by a matter of minutes. Ignorance is bliss, though. This episode goes through 'Hawks news, the NHL All-Star rosters, the Winter Classic, and the first games of the new PWHL. The boys are played out with Brazil by Declan McKenna.
It's dead week for most of North America but the MATB crew wanted to pump out something for the listeners. Joey and Dane do the show shorthanded, starting with the Blackhawks then transitioning to the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championships happening in Sweden this week! The boys hope you had a wonderful holiday season and look forward to big things in 2024
It's the holidays and the MATB boys are feeling the spirit with the show's first guest, Brendan McInerney! The gents breakdown the recent Blackhawks action (especially after last week's episode was lost to the Adobe Audition monster) and do the first MATB gift exchange. Happy Holidays!
There's a lot going on pertaining to the pro hockey team in Chicago and the MATB boys are here to break it all down. A Blackhawks heavy show before the gents conclude with their favorite hockey 'Easter Eggs" in pop culture.
The Corey Perry saga has rippled throughout the hockey world this past week and the boys break it down. Followed by the Hawks' on-ice performance and happenings around the league. This week's episode is played out with Gotta Do Something by Flor.
Happy Thanksgiving!! MATB is back for a holiday extravaganza that includes plenty of Hawks talk, stories from Sweden, and Joey and Dane recap their Ice-capades at Rocket Ice Arena in Bollingbrook.
The MATB boys are back in triple threat formation and Connor Bedard is taking over the NHL. The Hawks are back from their trip to Florida and the league looks a lot different from when they left. The PWHL also released their jerseys for their inaugural season.
In what can certainly be called one of the looser episodes of MATB, the boys are back at full strength as they go through the Blackhawks' recent happenings (including the latest on the pending lawsuit against the franchise), the downfall of the Edmonton Oilers, and the smashing success that was season 2 of Shoresy.
