Truth – we are much, much too busy. With much to accomplish, knowing we can’t get it all done, we’re exhausted at just the thought of it all. Today, peace from God’s Word. In the light of the tyranny of the urgent, it would be well for us to meditate on the life of the One who could’ve easily been overwhelmed. With all that Jesus had before Him, all that He had been tasked with, more so greater than any human being ever will face, there was a peace about Him.

Today, we’ll see how God gives us strength at the time when we need it most. At the moment of crisis, when we have an experience with God, he adds strength to our weakness.

Why study this Old Testament Book of Daniel? Because it helps us to understand prophecy, and it builds confidence in the word of God. HIs people are still strong in persecution and are nourished. The truth of God is not wiped out, no matter our circumstances. Whether a lion’s den, or everyday life, we are not alone in our struggles. This is what we learn today in the Book of Daniel, chapter 11.
