Description

The Thyroidless Life Podcast with Dr. Rebecca Warren is focused on the clinical experience, personal experience, and research on what it looks like to actually get well after having your thyroid removed or being diagnosed with a thyroid disorder.

Dr. Rebecca had her thyroid removed when she was just 19 years old, and ended up suffering unnecessarily with hormone issues that left her hopeless. She ended up drawing a line in the sand and took back her health. And from there she decided to take all the things she learned over a decade and a half, and began to teach thousands of women worldwide about thyroid and hormone health.

Look at this podcast as a personal walk with Dr. Rebecca of all the things she wish someone had told her when she was 19 and everything she wishes every woman knew.

When 6,058 endcrinologist from multiple european countries were polled for this study, they determined that for a MAJORITY of patients that had hypothyroid syptoms while being on T4 ONLY was ALL IN THEIR HEADS and patients have unrealsitic expectations on how they should be feeling...   This episode is a heartfelt exploration into the often-dismissed symptoms of hypothyroidism and the struggle to be heard and adequately treated in the medical community. In this episode, you'll uncover: - Dr. Warren's personal reaction to a study that highlights the disconnect between patient experiences and medical acknowledgment of persistent hypothyroid symptoms. - The alarming notion that a significant number of practitioners attribute patient symptoms to psychosocial factors, despite clear indications of thyroid hormone imbalances. - The importance of comprehensive thyroid testing, including TSH, Free T3, and T4, to truly understand and address thyroid health, especially for those post-thyroidectomy. - The power of patient advocacy and the necessity of finding practitioners willing to listen and collaborate on treatment plans that include T3 when necessary. - The critical role of functional practitioners in guiding patients through the complexities of thyroid health, navigating the medical system, and advocating for optimal care. - The socioeconomic disparities in thyroid treatment access and the need for a more equitable healthcare system.   Studye referenced: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38368541/ NEXT STEPS: //To join a community that champions your thyroid health journey, check out Dr. Warren's Thyroid Inner Circle at https://www.drrebeccawarren.com/thyroidmembership //To learn more about Dr. Warren's approach and how you can work with her, visit https://www.drrebeccawarren.com //For a comprehensive understanding of your thyroid labs and how to optimize them, grab the free Optimal Lab eBook at https://www.drrebeccawarren.com/thyroidlabsguide.   Don't forget to leave a five-star review if this episode resonates with you, subscribe for more empowering content, and share this powerful message with anyone who needs to hear that they are not alone in their thyroidless journey.       ---   Disclaimer: The content of this podcast is for informational purposes only and is not intended as medical advice. Here are the questions I answer in this podcast: What’s the path to treatment when thyroid regrows after total Thyroidectomy? I’d love to hear your thoughts of TSH after a Thyroidectomy. Is it still important? Does it still have to be in range if you’re on a form of T3? And the timing of blood work with respect to medication ingestion that affects TSH. Would love to know the correlation between total Thyroidectomy and women’s sex hormones? Thyroidectomy and menopause. Now what? Gained weight and can’t get it off.  I want to know my optimal levels after Thyroidectomy and best way to reach them. I am on Armour and my T3 and Reverse T3 are high.  I would like to hear about things we might be missing to help lower antibodies and clear brain fog. No matter what I do, brain fog wont go away.   NEXT STEPS: - Ready to work with me? DOORS ARE OPEN! Join my amazing community where I educate, equip, and empower you! We've talked about what thyroid tests to do and its ranges, now it's time to understand the WHY. In this episode Dr. Rebecca walks you through the breakdown she has taught to thousands of women through the years that have worked with her because she knows how important it is to know what's going on in your body.   She provides a comprehensive overview of how the thyroid gland functions and the intricacies of thyroid hormone regulation. She explains how the hypothalamus and pituitary gland regulate TSH to stimulate thyroid hormone production, and why optimal TSH levels are individual. Dr. Warren stresses the importance of testing T3, T4, reverse T3 and not relying solely on TSH to understand thyroid status. Even with normal lab results, symptoms must not be ignored. She emphasizes addressing overall health factors like sleep, stress and conversion issues to properly balance hormones long-term. This episode delivers a wealth of thyroid health knowledge that can empower listeners in their own healing journeys.   NEXT STEPS: - Ready to work with me? DOORS ARE OPEN! Losing her thyroid to cancer began Dr. Rebecca Warren's journey from deterioration to transformation. On this week's Thyroidless Life Podcast, she answers a listener question about desiccated pig thyroid. Unlike synthetic T4 medication, it contains both T4 and T3 hormones. For those unable to efficiently convert inactive T4 to active T3, desiccated thyroid may relieve lingering hypothyroid symptoms. However, getting the dosage right is key to avoid hyperthyroid side effects. Dr. Warren shares inspiring stories of clients who finally found relief by switching to natural desiccated thyroid and working with a doctor who listened.    NEXT STEPS: - Ready to work with me?
