Description

Before you dive headfirst into the strange and mysterious world of Tales from the Janitor, we feel it’s our duty to warn you: you may encounter a few things that are... well, a little unusual.

This audio drama is a work of fiction, just like your friend’s wild “I totally saw Bigfoot” stories, but without the questionable Snapchat pictures. All characters, events, and locations are purely fictional. If you think you've heard these legends before... it’s probably because you’ve stayed up way too late watching spooky YouTube videos.

This show is meant to entertain, not to keep you up at night staring at the shadows in your closet (though, let’s be honest, that’s between you and your imagination). While the stories we tell come from the urban legends, we cannot promise that any of them are “real” or that the ghosts will offer you a cup of coffee during their haunting.

Also, Tales from the Janitor contains supernatural happenings, creepy noises, and, occasionally, a talking raccoon that might not be as friendly as it seems. We recommend listening with a sense of humor—and maybe a light on if you’re the jumpy type.

By continuing, you acknowledge that you’re entering a world where the strange is the norm, and the normal... well, it’s just not around here. Enjoy the ride and remember nothing you hear is likely to follow you home. Probably.

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor — your mildly irresponsible, definitely sleep-destroying walk through Rhode Island’s creepiest legends, coastal nightmares, and those moments where you swear the ocean just looked back at you. This episode? We’re heading into the Ocean State — which sounds cute until you realize how much of it is old, damp, and quietly watching you. Shadowy figures around abandoned mills. Voices echoing off empty docks. Lights moving in places lighthouses swear they don’t reach anymore. From Providence backstreets to lonely roads in South County, Rhode Island has a habit of keeping its ghosts close… and not always polite. We’re talking colonial leftovers that never learned how to rest, strange encounters near the water, and stories that start with “this sounds fake” and end with “yeah, I stopped going there after that.” Every tale comes with slow-burn dread, uneasy silence, and the kind of dry janitor humor you only earn after cleaning buildings that really shouldn’t still be occupied. If you’re into real ghost stories, New England folklore, or those “my uncle swears this happened” kind of encounters — congrats. You’re exactly where you shouldn’t be.Why listen?Chilling Rhode Island legends, hauntings, and coastal weirdness • A darkly funny, first-person ride with a janitor who knows too much • Perfect for fans of paranormal podcasts, horror stories, and Northeast folkloreThe show’s free — but keeping the lights half-working and the ghosts moderately cooperative takes effort. If you’re enjoying it, leave a review, share it with your bravest friend, or donate a Dunkin’ coffee strong enough to keep me awake through whatever knocks around after midnight (no promises). Thanks for listening… and whatever you do, don’t linger in the abandoned school off I-95.The floors remember footsteps. And they really don’t like new ones.StoriesThe Depths of WrathThe WakeningThe Curse of Dolly ColeThe Heart of MercyThe Camping NightmareCreditsDirector – Kiersten GreenfieldDeveloped & Created by – Steve LloydWriter - Steve LloydScript Writer – Jon DeBenedictScript Editor – Taylor RobinsonExecutive Producer – Steve LloydEditor - HecateSound Design - Steve LloydStarring Jeremy Tucker as The JanitorCast:Captain Stormalong - Brad LuguireFirst Mate Harlan - Manfred FishSailer Red - Jon DeBenedictCook Jasper - Joseph PanciaSailor Elijah Graves - Christian J CasasSailor Claire - Thomas RenderQuartermaster Thaddeus - J.R. Welcome to Tales from the Janitor, your slightly questionable, definitely sleep-ruining tour through Pennsylvania’s creepiest legends, haunted hollows, and why is that glowing in the woods? Mysteries... all told by your local mop-carrying menace who knows way too much about things that go bump under fluorescent lighting. This episode? Oh, we’re diving deep into the Keystone State... where shadowy figures linger along old coal mines, phantom hitchhikers don’t wait for Ubers, and ancient things lurk somewhere between the Appalachians and the Wawa parking lot at 2am. From Gettysburg ghosts to strange whispers in abandoned steel mills, Pennsylvania’s got more hauntings than potholes… and that’s saying something. Every tale drips with atmosphere, slow building dread, and that slightly sarcastic janitor humor you only get from someone who’s swept up more paranormal messes than spilled chocolate milk. So if you’re into real ghost stories, roadside legends, or my grandma swears this actually happened”Appalachian folklore, you’re in the right place. Why Listen?• Bone-chilling Pennsylvania legends and small-town hauntings• A darkly funny first-person ride with your suspiciously informed janitor host• Perfect for fans of paranormal podcasts, horror storytelling, and spooky Northeast folkloreThe show is free—but keeping the ghosts mostly chill and the lights flickering on purpose takes some effort. If you’re enjoying the ride, drop a review, share the show with your bravest friend, or donate a cup of Wawa coffee strong enough to banish a demon (results not guaranteed). Thanks for tuning in… and whatever you do, don’t open the janitor’s closet in the abandoned high school off I-76.There are… things in there. As we traverse these forgotten realms, be prepared to encounter the strange, the inexplicable, and the unsettling. While Tales from the Janitor will always remain free for all who seek the thrill of these tales, creating each episode demands considerable time and resources. We kindly ask that you consider leaving a rating or review, sharing this experience with others, or, if you are able, making a donation to ensure the continuation of this eerie exploration. While we can’t guarantee you’ll encounter a ghost, alien, or cryptid (though the odds are high), we do strongly advise you keep your wits about you, especially if you’re traveling with a vehicle that has questionable air conditioning or a tendency to overheat. And remember, no matter how convincing the voices in your headphones may sound, it’s probably not the local crypt keeper trying to offer you a ride. Or is it? Enjoy the ride and don’t forget to lock the doors. Just in case. While we strive to deliver thrills and chills, please note that any resemblance to actual events, real people, or terrifying desert dwellers is purely coincidental, though if you happen to see something lurking in the distance, we highly recommend you don’t investigate further. This audio drama may cause increased heart rates, nervous glances over your shoulder, and an irrational desire to sleep with the lights on. We are not responsible for any spontaneous urges to visit a creepy ghost town, attempt to summon desert spirits, or start Googling "Nevada paranormal hotspots."Lastly, if you hear someone knocking at your door, it’s probably just a neighbor... or maybe it’s not. Either way, don’t say we didn’t warn you. Proceed with caution and enjoy the show!#horror #haunted #ghosts

While the stories we tell come from the urban legends of Nebraska, we cannot promise that any of them are “real” or that the ghosts will offer you a cup of coffee during their haunting. Also, Tales from the Janitor contains supernatural happenings, creepy noises, and, occasionally, a talking raccoon that might not be as friendly as it seems. We recommend listening with a sense of humor—and maybe a light on if you’re the jumpy type.By continuing, you acknowledge that you’re entering a world where the strange is the norm, and the normal... well, it’s just not around here. Enjoy the ride and remember nothing you hear is likely to follow you home. Probably.#horror #haunted #ghosts
