Description

This podcast is based on the research, writings, and content created by John E. Cassinat found principally in his two-volume book entitled The Book of Revelation Doctrinal Commentary: Unveiling Jesus Christ. The book focuses on the unveiling of Jesus Christ as seen through the eyes of John the Revelator. The podcast sets forth the views and opinions of theologians and Biblical scholars from many different religions, although the doctrinal views of the apocalypse predominantly align with those found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John the Revelator’s symbolism and images are explained with reference to multiple Old Testament books, including Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Joel and Zechariah. Jesus Christ is the major focus of this podcast from the time of his premortal existence through the time of the celestialization of the earth. Within these broad parameters, podcast topics will include a discussion of the creation of spirit bodies in premortality; the premortal conflict between Lucifer (Satan) and Jehovah (Christ) during the grand council in heaven and the war in heaven; Christ’s physical creation of multiple worlds; the mortal ministry of Christ among the Jews and the establishment of his ancient church; the postmortal ministry of Christ’s spirit in paradise after His crucifixion; the post-resurrection ministry of Christ among the Jews on the eastern hemisphere, the Nephites on the western hemisphere and the lost ten tribes of Israel; the ongoing conflicts between Christ and Satan in the earthly kingdoms of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the modern nations of the earth; the great apostasy that followed the apostolic period; the restoration of Christ’s latter-day church in preparation for His Second Coming and the resurrection of His saints; and Christ’s millennial reign of peace on the renewed and paradisiacal earth for 1000 years, followed by the final defeat of Satan’s kingdom at the end of the earth. These topics and many more will be discussed in this podcast as the many symbols and apocalyptic images of Saint John the Divine are explained to unveil Jesus Christ.

This podcast explains the meaning of the horses and horsemen that John describes in Revelation 9:16. The horsemen are evil spirits loosed on earth at the start of Armageddon during the Second Woe. They will have significant power, control, and influence over the horses that represent the mortal armies engaged in this final battle leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
This podcast explains how the kingdom of God shall be given the saints of the most High during the future gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman as described in Daniel 7:18, 22 and 27. At this gathering, the saints from all seven gospel dispensations will stand before Adam (the Ancient of Days) and Christ will be coronated King of kings and Lord of lords. The saints of the most High shall be the kings over whom Christ is King and lords over whom Christ is Lord. Those crowned as kings and queens, and priests and priestesses, are those that enter the Patriarchal Order of the Priesthood through the temple sealing ordinance of celestial marriage and are worthy of their temple covenants. They will begin to inherit and possess the earth as of the gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman when the redemption of Zion shall also commence. The saints of the most High shall also sit upon thrones and rule with Christ during the millennium and throughout eternity in the kingdom of God that shall be both an ecclesiastical kingdom and a political kingdom of God known as the Church of the Firstborn.
This podcast explains the future coronation of Jesus Christ as King of kings during the gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman as described in Daniel 7:13-14. At this gathering, the seven heads of the gospel dispensations will stand before Adam (the Ancient of Days) to account for their earthly stewardship and they will return to Adam their priesthood keys. These keys will in turn be returned to Christ who will commence his earthly reign. As Christ begins to take dominion on earth, the kingdom of Satan will begin to fall. This will mark the spiritual fall of Modern Babylon to be followed by the physical fall of Babylon at the Second Coming. At this future gathering, the ecclesiastical kingdom of God (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) will also begin to merge with the political kingdom of God to become the Church of the Firstborn which will be the government of God throughout the millennium.
This podcast explains who attends the gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman, including celestial worthy people who are mortals, resurrected people, translated people, and the spirits of just men made perfect, all of who come from the seven gospel dispensations and held priesthood keys. This podcast also explains what will occur at Adam-ondi-Ahman as the Ancient of Days (Adam) appears in resurrected glory to judge his righteous posterity symbolized by the "ten thousand ten thousands" (100 million) that will come before his fiery throne, and the thousand thousand (1 million) that will minister to him.
This podcast explains the meaning of the phrase "time and times and the dividing of time" found in Daniel 7:25 to describe the timing of the great gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman. This prophetic phrase means 3 ½ years, and it means that the gathering of saints will occur 3 ½ years before the Second Coming, which corresponds to the midpoint of Armageddon and the Second Woe. This is the point tin time when the little horn of Satan's latter-day power and dominion will peak and begin to recede from the earth as Christ begins to assert his power on earth.
This podcast explains the symbolism of the one little horn that emerges from the midst of the ten horns on the head of the fourth dreadful beast in Daniel 7:8. The ten horns represent Satan's power in the modern nations of the world and the one little horn represents the re-emergence of Satan's power in the modern nations after the end of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806. The emergence of this little horn coincides in time with the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1830. The little horn of Satan's latter-day power and dominion grows in power as the gospel grows and spreads in th world as the small stone that was cut from the mountain without hands from the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2. The little horn wars against the saints as recorded in Daniel 7:21, and he is personified as a man with eyes like a man and a mouth that speaks blasphemies against God. The personification of the little horn corresponds to the Second Beast described by John the Revelator in Revelation 13, which he also describes as the False Prophet in Revelation 16. The little horn, the Second Beast, and the False Prophet represent the Antichrist of the last days. The disembodied spirit of Judas Iscariot--the ultimate apostate--stands as the spiritual head of the antichristian movement in the last days.
This podcast explains the image of the leopard with hour wings and four heads that is given dominion by God in Daniel 7:6. This symbolism represents Satan's power in the ancient kingdom of the Greek Empire, which began with the conquests of Alexander the Great. Alexander's small army moved with incredible speed to conquer the Medo-Persian empire in approximately 330 BC represented by the four wings on the body of the leopard. After Alexander died in 323 AD his empire passed to his four generals represented by the four heads of the leopard. The power of Satan in the Greek Empire grew through the Hellenization process whereby conquered nations, including the Jews, adopted the customs, religious philosophies and lax moral standards of the Greeks. At the same time Satan's power grew in the Greek empire, the way was also paved for the establishment and growth of Christianity in a Greek-speaking world after the death of Jesus Christ.
This podcast explains the image of the bear in Daniel 7:5 to describe Satan's power in the ancient kingdom of Medo-Persia. Cyrus the Great was king of this combined kingdom and defeated he Babylonian kingdom in 538 BC. A brief history of the Median and Persian empires is included together with a correlation of that history to the characteristics of the bear that has three ribs in its teeth, and one side raised above the other.
This podcast explains the images of the lion with eagle's wings in Daniel 7:4 to describe Satan's power in the ancient kingdom of Babylon. A brief history of the rise and fall of ancient Babylon is given with correlating details about the fall of Modern or Spiritual Babylon at the time of the Second Coming.
This podcast explains the images used by Daniel to describe Satan's power in the kingdoms of the world, including the Babylonian empire (Lion), Persian empire (bear), Greek Empire (leopard), Roman empire (hideous beast), and modern nations (ten horns). Satan's power grows in these successive kingdoms until the future gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman, which takes place 3 1/2 years before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. At this gathering, Christ will be coronated King of kings and this will begin the restriction on Satan's power. He will not be bound, however, until the Second Coming when Christ makes a full end of all nations.
This podcast compares and contrasts the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 2, and the vision of Daniel in Daniel 7. The dream and vision both record events covering more than 2500 years from the time of ancient Babylon to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The great image in Nebuchadnezzar's dream represents the political kingdoms of the world, including the Babylonian empire (gold head), Persian empire (silver chest), Greek Empire (brass belly), Roman empire (iron legs), and modern nations (clay and iron toes). Daniel's vision describes the growing power of Satan in these same kingdoms as a lion, bear, leopard, and hideous beast with ten horns. Satan's power in the kingdoms of the world continues to grow until the future gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman.
This podcast explores the reasons why the ancient gathering of Adam's righteous posterity at Adam-ondi-Ahman probably included the first temple ordinances performed on earth for the exaltation of all Adam's righteous posterity. The ancient gathering three years before Adam's death foreshadows the future gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman in Missouri 3 ½ years before the Second Coming.
This podcast explains the purpose for the great gathering of Adam's righteous posterity at Adam-ondi-Ahman. This gathering was both a physical gathering and a spiritual gathering that prepared Adam's righteous posterity to enter the presence of the Lord and to receive crowns of exaltation and eternal life. To this end the physical gathering occurred to establish the Patriarchal (Evangelical) Priesthood that was to be handed down by lineage beginning with Seth, who was the second presiding patriarch on the earth after Adam. In addition, the gathering established the Patriarchal Order of the Priesthood, by which worthy men and women can be sealed eternally as husband and wife and thus receive the fullness of the priesthood. In short, Adam's righteous posterity received were promised and also received their exalting ordiances of the templ at Adam-ondi-Ahman.
This podcast explains the great gathering of Adam's righteous posterity three years before Adam died at the age of 930 years. This gathering occurred at a place called Adam-ondi-Ahman, not far from the original location of the garden of Eden. Today, this same location is the place of a large valley and rolling hills in Davies County, Missouri. In the near future, there will be a similar gathering of Adam's righteous posterity at the midpoint of Armageddon, just 3 1/2 years before Christ's Second Coming. This podcast discusses the seven similarities in the two separate gatherings at Adam-ondi-Ahman and their similar purposes.
This podcast provides an explanatory overview of Revelation chapter 10, where John saw a mighty angel (Jesus Christ) who comes down from heaven prior to the time of the Second Coming with a little book that he gives to John the Revelator. This chapter is frequently misidentified as an "interlude" chapter. It is actually a vision of Christ's appearance at the great gathering of saints at the midpoint of Armageddon at a place called Adam-Ondi-Ahman. Christ gave the little book to John to symbolize John's mission to prepare the Lost Ten Tribes for their return from the land of the north, including their attendance at the meeting of righteous saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman.
This podcast explains the symbols used by John to describe the survivors of the seven-year battle of Armageddon in Revelation 9:20-21. The survivors are those who will refuse to repent during the battle, although they could do so. This means they are not sons of perdition, who have committed the unpardonable sin in this life and have lost the power to repent. John lists several characteristics of the survivors. They are guilty of murders, sorceries, fornication, and thefts. These characteristics align perfectly with latter-day revelation that identifies such persons as telestial worthy. Thus, we learn in this podcast that telestial people as a class will survive Armageddon and the third part of men that will not survive are mortal sons of perdition.
This podcast explains the symbols used by John to describe the heads and tails of the horses of Armageddon in Revelation 9:19. The horses represent (mortal armies) with power in their mouths to kill the third part of men. They also have tails like serpents that have heads with power to kill men on a lesser scale during physical Armageddon. The mouths of the horses represent powerful nations gathered to Armageddon, while the tails represent less powerful groups such as state sponsored terrorists, organized crime, gangs and other unlawful but powerful groups that fall in the category of secret combinations.
This podcast explains the meaning of the symbols used by John to describe the weapons of war to be used in the future battle of Armageddon as described in Revelation 9:18. In this verse, John saw the horses (mortal armies) and horsemen (evil spirits) of Armaggedon as they used three holy weapons of fire, smoke, and brimstone to kill the third part of men, who, as a class, represent mortal sons of perdition that will be on earth during physical Armageddon.
This podcast explains the meaning of the symbols used by John to describe the weapons of war to be used in the future battle of Armageddon as described in Revelation 9:17. In this verse, John saw the horses (mortal armies) and horsemen (evil spirits) with breastplates of fire, jacinth, and brimstone and out of their mouths issued fire, smoke, brimstone. All these symbols show that Armageddon will be a holy war that will accomplish the purposes of God through evil instrumentalities.
This podcast explains the meaning of the 200 million combatants that John the apostle heard and saw engaged in the battle of Armageddon in Revelation 9:16. The number of 200 million is symbolic. It represents an immense number of combatants from two armies of armies engaged in the conflict against each other. In this Holy War, the wicked will destroy the wicked.
