This unit, together with its 'sister' units in Nenagh and St John's Hospitals, provide a swift, efficient Emergency Department-avoidance option for a total of around 40,000 patients every year who need treatment for a range of non-lifethreatening injuries, including breaks, sprains, burns and wounds.
