I have the absolute pleasure of talking with JVM, Brad Iron Lip Park, and Blake the Snake Hooper 3 members of Team USA silver Medal team at the WTC here in 2025. We go over some questions that I had and a lot more questions that the listeners had. Was a great conversation about their experiences at WTC 2025.
Friend of the show Brad the Iron Lip had an interesting Idea. He wanted to know if their was any correlation between performance and overall team ratings. Along with wanting to know about the 5-0 rounds. So I started looking at the data built out a sheet. And this show is the result of this analysis. Its again meant to be a though experiment to answer some questions that we've been talking behind the scenes about and wanted to bring to the wider WTC listener base. So I warn you this one is nerdy and you can't draw a lot of conclusions from it, but its fun as hell. Be sure to check out the full spreadsheet song here
Spreadsheet song link full credit to Sam S on the you tube for this amazing ballad to columns and rows.

In the latest Episode of Tyrants on the field we breakdown may events in North America, Europe and the Entire world Meta for april 30th- June 2nd looking only at Rated, Singles Events, With 10 or more players. We break down both the North American, and European pieces of the pie and then look at the world aggregate over that time frame with the same restrictions to get a view. Additionally I then talk about power level of models and lists not always being evident from the cards and model selection but some power levels being obscured by needing to see it on the table. As power level of rules can often be over looked or undervalued on paper but come up frequently in actual play patterns that make the rule better. Like wise some rules that are amazing on paper may in practice be less frequently exploitable. We walk through some recent examples in Shadow Flame shard and my own journey of finding greater power level of some of these models in actual play than I was valuing their evaluation on paper.
This is a big one folks, we talk all about the Numbers of the IGs at Bokur Brawl and the Numbers of the Bokur Brawl Team tournament. A team tournament that yours truly called prior to the event in terms of all the teams I told you to watch out for were your top 6. Lots of data and data analysis in this one talking about where the metas at why its there and where its likely heading. This was an awesome event by all accounts run by NJSOBs headed up by Steve and Seth and team and again they gave us all a reason to wish we too were in New Jersey.
In this episode I talk about who my favorite teams are to win the event in no particular order. I also dive a little deeper into some of the more innovative lists from the event that caught my eye and discuss some general meta bits and bobs before the event. And as a treat we trash talk the 3 IG pods as we bemoan the fact that commitments are keeping me from the brawl this year.
Its the calm before the brawl List lock occurred earlier today. And that means I do what I do best, and I do an initial read of the teams the meta and go through the particulars of the lists present. In this episode we go through all the lists as is and offer some meta commentary on the whole at the end. In our next episode we'll talk some of my favorites for the event and the lists I'm particularly fond of.
I go over the numbers after the final round, congratulate the winners and talk about list decisions, the general meta, team construction theories and a whole lot more.
