Description
A show looking at and reviewing all the gameweeks in the Premier League's Official Fantasy Football game. We review all the upcoming games, players, stats as well as a wrap up show after each game week showing how well we did (or didn't!)
1887 Episodes
Reverse
On the review of the weekend football Suj and James reflect on yet another Gameweek where FPL points were hard to find and it all began before deadline with leaks that Erling Haaland and Phil Foden would not start for Manchester City. Trouble was, that for those who has the info, a change in captaincy didn't necessarily bring reward.
So, with Mo Salah back, is dropping Haaland a genuine consideration?
Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Chelsea all won and will have interest in their assets, and so too will Manchester United assets following their win at league leaders Arsenal.
There was more frustration for James as Tottenham failed to win (and nearly lost at Burnley), but Suj's West Ham did make it back to back wins, trouble was Nottingham Forest one too.
All the games and all the key FPL talking points covered.

Suj took the spoils over James in the Planet FPL Derby and to say the mood is now toxic at Tottenham Hotspur would be putting it mildly. Yet, somehow, Thomas Frank remains in charge, for now...
And so to too does Oliver Glasner despite the Crystal Palace manager suggesting that he's been left abandoned by the hierarchy at The Eagles.
At least there was some great football this weekend to enjoy... no not much of that either... but there's plenty of praise for Manchester United who fully deserved to beat neighbours City.
All the games covered, plus all the key FPL discussion as usual, featuring the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Bukayo Saka, Chelsea and Man City assets, Morgan Rogers, Hugo Ekitike and more...

It's that time of year, where January arrives, the FA Cup 3rd round has gone & the Carabao Cup Final can be projected. That means for FPL managers it's time to think seriously about what to do with chips.
Suj and James discuss the calendar for the rest of the season, understanding permutations and fixture projections to give an overview of when might be best to save chips for.
Wildcard now or save it?
Could there be a Double Gameweek soon?
There will also be a popular template strategy... but there needs to be an awareness that it could all change!

Suj and James reflect on all the midweek games as Igor Thiago and Bruno Guimaraes again rewarded owners like James, which meant more pain for Suj, but has the time been and gone to invest in them? Or are their contributions to good to ignore?
Those returns helped Brentford and Newcastle in top the top 6, helped by the fact none of the 6 who started the week in those places won as this was another Gamweek that saw a decent proportion of draws.
One team who were beaten were Chelsea, as Harry Wilson scored the winner to also maintain his run of form, but The Blues will now consistently appeal with an incredible run of fixtures coming up under new manager Liam Rosenior.
All the key FPL assets covered, including enabling forwards Eli Kroupi Junior and Matheus Mane who were on the scoresheet again, and the pain continues for West Ham and Tottenham.

It was a weekend from the Gods for James in FPL, in his own words, his best ever Gameweek, with 17 pointers from Malick Thiaw, Declan Rice and Igor Thiago helping him to a monstrous 101 points, and a near 90% rank rise to 31k with a Gameweek rank of 200 overall!
But while it was the stuff of dreams for James; Suj scored 60 points less in an incredible week of swings!
But one thing both can count on is crap from their respective teams, as West Ham were humbled 3-0 at a previously winless Wolves, whilst Sunderland took a point away from White Hart Lane.
All the games covered as usual, there's tips and plans for GW21, the importance of looking longer-term and the Podcast is interrupted by breaking news of Ruben Amorim's dismissal by Manchester United!

The first Planet FPL Podcast of 2026 sees David join James for a review of the GW19 where Gabriel returned to the Arsenal team and hauled immediately in their big clash against Aston Villa which was part of an exciting night of action on Tuesday in the Premier League.
Let's hope however that New Year's Day wasn't a sign of things to come as only two goals were scored across four games and there was disappointment for Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham who all drew 0-0 and the pressure is being ramped up again on Thomas Frank.
Brentford were no better in a dismal encounter at The Gtech, but there's plenty of praise for Leeds and Sunderland for their hard earned points.
All the games covered, Chelsea part ways of Enzo Maresca and transfer plans for GW20 and beyond are covered, which also features a key message about chips.

Suj and James review all the football from Gameweek 18 that included a hat-trick for Kevin Schade against Bournemouth side who look wide open away from home, but it was a largely forgettable week for many FPL managers and now there are injury concerns for many defensive assets.
Bournemouth now travel to Chelsea and that could make a move to Cole Palmer appealing but there's caution offered on Chelsea assets following their defeat to Aston Villa who themselves kept themselves in contention at the top ahead of tomorrow's big game at The Emirates.
Arsenal won again, but there's now doubts around Jurrien Timber and Ricardo Calafiori, but Gabriel is back and many FPL managers will be seeking a quick resolution to restore The Gunners defender to their teams.
Manchester City won too but the majority of well owned assets blanked. Their Manchester rivals United have some appealing assets ahead of playing bottom side Wolves, with defensive assets and Matheus Cunha like to be popular short term picks. They beat Newcastle who may also appeal but aren't in good form.
West Ham lost again. But Tottenham won . Suj isn't blind to The Hammers increasingly precarious plight, but neither is James to Tottenham's win at Palace.
And Dominic Calvert-Lewin can't stop scoring!

Suj and James review another dramatic weekend of football in the Premier League that included a brilliant encounter at St James's Park as Chelsea earned a hard earned point from two down, Liverpool just about getting over the line against 9 man Tottenham, Arsenal staying top for Christmas after victory at Everton, Leeds scoring four against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa maintained their outstanding winning run against Manchester United.
A Manchester United for whom Bruno Fernandes was replaced at half time with a hamstring problem, and for owners that's a headache they weren't preparing for. Many owners and non owners will now likely chase the in-demand Hugo Ekitike who scored again, and now looks secure for minutes following a serious looking injury to Alexander Isak. He may even be worth trusting with the armband this week
But there's plenty of other assets in demand too, with discussion featuring the likes of Matheus Cunha, Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen.
And there's others who are not, such as Igor Thiago who hasn't registered a shot in Brentford's last two outings against Leeds and hapless Wolves.
Plus, coverage of defensive options, enablers, and Suj has been on tilt in FPL, Tottenham just have James fully tilted.

Suj and James discuss the fallout from the GW16 weekend where many took Erling Haaland on with the captaincy with Bukayo Saka as both returned double digit hauls, and James was again rewarded with a haul from an enabling midfielder. This time Harry Wilson.
All the games covered, including how Arsenal nearly failed to beat bottom of the table Wolves, Aston Villa and Manchester City maintaining their pursuit of the leaders, Sunderland winning the big North East Derby and Tottenham getting humbled (free scarf included) at Nottingham Forest.
Players now head to AFCON creating issues for many and as the festive period approaches expected minutes is a concern for many FPL managers. Key talking points, notes for GW17 and beyond, plus more.

It was at the point that Crystal Palace announced their line-up at Fulham that James knew his luck was in. With Daniel Munoz absent from The Eagles squad with a knee injury, James was able to bank Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's 16 points and laugh about some brilliant bench jam. And it was just as well because it was a painful week otherwise!
Luck or skill? You need a bit of both in this game.
Suj joins James for a review of all the weekend games as Aston Villa beat Arsenal late, it was a late win for Palace too at Fulham and West Ham also lost a late lead at Brighton.
There was late carnage to at Elland Road as Liverpool blew a comfortable lead, but it was events after the game and Mo Salah's interview that may prove even more damaging for The Reds.
FPL managers now have 5 free transfers at their disposal and both Suj and James have gone early with one move, but will the other moves be made or can transfers be banked?
Most is seems, will be making aggressive moves. But are there even 3 good forwards in the game!?

Suj and James discuss the games and fallout from a dramatic Gameweek 14 so far as Manchester City won 5-4 away, Villa (found improvement) to win 4-3 at Brighton, Arsenal won again but it was a bad night for Chelsea at Elland Road and Liverpool were again underwhelming as they drew with Sunferland.
The City victory saw Erling Haaland walk away with three attacking returns but the headlines for Fantasy owners were more about the returns for Phil Foden who now has more FPL points in his past two than the previous 12 weeks. Should non owners steam in?
Before buying the prospect of further rotation for assets should be considered in a week where predictably many players were given a rest, but perhaps it was more than just a rest for Mo Salah as he was benched again.
The good news is the midweek rotation can be turned into an advantage in many scenarios in a week where everyone should be making at least one transfer ahead of receiving five free transfers in GW16.
All the games covered, James has an enabling transfer on mind and even managed to come away from St James's Park with a dramatic late draw.

Suj and James discuss another eventful weekend in the Premier League, where there was largely success for Free Hitters (including Suj) but disappointment for Erling Haaland Triple Captainers, and James' Wildcard also went okay.
But what's perhaps more important is what's next and a big theme around Suj and James' discussion is who might get rotated during a midweek where the spacing of games is particularly bad for Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.
The two London sides drew in Sunday's big game whilst Liverpool finally won and kept a clean sheet with Alexadner Isak on the scoresheet, but Mo Salah was an unused substitute. A rest presumably...?
There's reflection on the Villa, Brentford and Manchester City assets that largely delivered well for Free Hitters, Newcastle won away with Malick Thiaw - 3rd on James' bench - scoring twice, and Newcastle assets now greatly appeal, as might Manchester United assets after their victory at Crystal Palace.
But it was another miserable home day for James' Tottenham.

It's a Gameweek Review debut for David Hunter as he joins James, but the timing could hardly have been worse as David's Liverpool were humbled 3-0 at Anfield by Nottingham Forest.
Still, David can share his pain with James who watched on from The Emirates as Tottenham were destroyed at The Emirates with Eberechi Eze scoring a hat-trick.
The pain, is obvious.
All the games reviewed as usual and both David and James are on Wildcard so there is a major focus on players to invest in for FPL and there will be a number in the community on Free Hit too so there are plenty of one week punt suggestions as well.

How does Harry keep doing so well in FPL? There's discussion on his play style and why 'playing it safe' works well for him.
Plus Gabriel is injured, solutions offered for FPL managers looking to replace the Arsenal defender (if he is ruled out!), and one such solution is Virgil Van Dijk at Liverpool, but is there anyone else from Arne Slots reds FPL managers can invest in with a brilliant fixture schedule coming up?
Plus, there's discussion on GW12 captaincy, feelings on DEFCONs being part of the game, short-term investments, advice for those with chips remaining, 8th attackers, chasing rank, the 5 free transfers for AFCON and lots more...

Suj and James discuss all the football and FPL consequences from Gameweek 11 where for many there was difficulty to find points as once again many template selections failed to deliver.
There's a Wildcard active, but is it Suj or James that's seen enough of their underperforming stars?
Much of the theme of this Podcast is a search for players to pick for Wildcarders, but there's difficulty in locking down the right players from the teams with the best upcoming fixtures.
One such team is Liverpool, who were beaten handsomely by Manchester City, whose 3-0 victory with Jeremy Doku starring felt like a statement win in pursuit of Arsenal, who were finally breached as they dropped points late on at Sunderland.
Tottenham too dropped points against Manchester United, having come from behind as Arsenal did, whilst Chelsea and Aston Villa both won comfortably on home soil, but there are concerns for some and their form on their travels, including Leeds United and a Newcastle United that again lost a lead and were beaten at Brentford.
And they've got a forward everyone is now taking a serious look at...

The Mayor of FPL Tom Campbell guest hosts the Gameweek Review Podcast this week with James to discuss the fallout from the 9 games played in Gameweek 10, and it featured some shocking performances, none worse than James' Tottenham who limply lost to Chelsea.
Newcastle can also lay claim to a shocker as they were beaten at West Ham yesterday, whilst there were important wins for Liverpool and Manchester City, but they are no closer to an Arsenal side who won to nil at Burnley.
There's an FPL overview on every side that played, short-term punts to consider, the genuine merits of owning players like Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo, the appeal of forwards versus midfielders, Crystal Palace assets and lots more.
Plus, Tom took on an unusual challenge in FPL this season, and though it hasn't worked as hoped, he's finding enjoying playing more than he did last season.

A good week to have a bad week? Probably. But for FPL managers who started any of Joe Rodon, Bryan Mbeumo or 23 point scoring Micky Van De Ven it was probably a good week.
Suj and James even managed to sell one of the few other popular players who hit a double digit return, in Pedro Porro, who assisted one of Van De Ven's two in Tottenham's 3-0 win at Everton. But was the win as good as the scoreline suggests?
All the games reviewed as the three promoted clubs all won, struggling West and Wolves were two of those on the wrong end of those results, while Chelsea were surprisingly beaten by high flying Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool lost again, this time at Brentford, and Manchester City were beaten too at Aston Villa, whilst Arsenal extended their lead with victory over Crystal Palace.
Eagles assets will be popular this week, as will again Arsenal players, and Mbeumo will also be popular having scored twice in Manchester United's victory against Brighton which means they've now won three in a row.

Suj and James review all the action from Gameweek 8 which included some extraodinary individual showings as Erling Haaland recorded another brace, Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring a hat-trick but underperforming (!) his xG on the day and Cody Gakpo scored, hit the woodwork three times and missed a sitter.
Those Gakpo misses were in a rare Anfield Liverpool defeat that means it's four defeats in a row for The Champions in all competitions. What's going wrong?
Manchester United were the victors at Anfield and now may feel they can put a consistent run of results together.
Plus, Ange Postecoglu's spell in charge of Nottingham Forest is over, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth was carnage, Tottenham's poor showings finally caught up with them, while Burnley and Sunderland defensive assets rewarded the FPL managers who started them or used them as part of a Bench Boost.
While Arsenal and Chelsea assets continue to appeal following away wins and clean sheets recorded with Gabriel and Reece James the biggest returners.
And there may genuinely now be some really cheap forward enablers on offer in Marc Guiu and Eli Juinor Kroupi

Suj and James take the opportunity of the second International break to discuss learnings from the small sample of data learnings from the season so far with conversation featuring DEFCONs, talismen, over and underperformers.
Defensive contributions (DEFCONs) is still in its infancy of many FPL managers mind and there's a look at teams DEFCONs accumulations for and against plus discussion on best individuals so far and moving forward. There's also a specific focus on clearances achieved as a strong metric to consider when looking for defenders who may achieve DEFCON and there's spmething very interesting in individuals year on year comparison.
Plus, the search for talismen is on, though currently they appear hard to find as many attacking assets have frustrated so far.
There's also a look at those who have over and underperformed in front of goal so far and a look at the next five fixtures for those who may want to Wildcard now... and there's also a look at GWs 13-17 for those who are holding on for later.

It was a week that begun with Antoine Semenyo hauling again and finished with another goal for Erling Haaland, but the final card for many reads could've done better and that's the case for both Suj and James on the Gameweek 7 Review.
Liverpool lost again with another blank for Mohamed Salah in their late defeat at Chelsea which means Arsenal, victors against Suj's West Ham, are now top, but it was a disappointing day for Viktor Gyokeres owners.
James' Tottenham are now third but the result was again better than the display in victory at Leeds where Mohammed Kudus starred and returned well.
All the games reviewed with eyes on moves for after the International break. Who's on radar? Who's for the chop? And there's a warning that a number of FPL forwards may be about to do well in forthcoming weeks.
