Hey Slaycaters (and music fans) we’re taking you back to 1973 and the Summer Jam concert in Watkins Glen, New York. The headliners were The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers and The Band and over 600,000 people showed up to the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway.
Among the concert-goers were 16 year old Michael Weiser and 15 year old Bonnie Bickwit, two very smart and loving kids from Brooklyn, NY. Without a car, the pair decided to hitchhike to the show.

Not only does this case take place literally in our backyard of the East Village of New York City, at a time (late 80’s/early 90’s) when all three of us were in and around the area — but what actually transpired is beyond the scope of any nightmare you could imagine.

Hey Slaycaters, we’re back with another shocking, mysterious death in Mexico — this time, beloved actress Carol Wayne, most known for playing the ‘Matinee Lady’ in sketches with Johnny Carson. Without giving too much away, let’s just say a fight with her travel companion in Manzanillo, Mexico led to Carol storming off. The next time she was seen — she’d be on the news, not The Tonight Show.
This case, from 1985, is chock full of suspicious circumstances and an investigation that ranges from shoddy to shady — fueling a host of theories and conjecture to this very day!

OK Slaycaters, strap in for another case of paradise lost. In May of 2000, New York-based travel writers Claudia Kirschhoch and Tania Grossinger found themselves stranded in Negril, Jamaica when their business trip to Havana Cuba was suddenly canceled. However, 29-year old Claudia had just landed her dream job writing for Frommer’s Travel Guides and decided to make the most of her situation.
While Tania booked a flight home — Claudia stayed and played, including going on a date with a bartender at the resort she was staying in. Hey Slaycaters, here we go again… Another case that will have you scratching your heads and saying, “WTF???” On July 8th, 2014, Lars Mittank entered the airport in Varna, Bulgaria.
It had already been an interesting vacation on the coast of the Black Sea that included a fight with locals in which Lars had sustained injuries preventing him from flying home with his pals.
Now medically cleared to fly, Lars arrived at the Varna Airport — only to be seen suddenly running out of the airport doctor’s office headed straight for…our show. Get ready for one of the most bizarre mysteries we’ve ever covered and see if you can make sense of the madness.

Lucas Fowler, 23, and Chynna Deese, 24 were two avid RV’ers and hikers making their way through British Columbia, Canada on the way to Alaska. Let’s just say they never made it.

Hey Slaycaters, today’s episode takes place in the ocean, literally. Yes. In. The. Ocean. It’s the horrific tale of Tom Lonergan and Eileen Cassidy, a young couple of avid scuba divers excited to explore the Coral Sea off Australia’s Northeast Coast.
What happens to them is the stuff of a horror movie, literally. The movie Open Water is based on this case (but it could have been called ‘Dude, Where’s My Boat?’)
It’s also an extreme cautionary tale of what happens when people don’t speak up when they notice things out of the ordinary — or when a tourism business fails to do the basic job of keeping its guests safe. Once you hear this tragic tale, you’ll never forget it. Fin.

Hey Slaycaters, we’re back with a truly bizarre and baffling case that’s as much a mystery of the mind as it is the body. Join us as we dive into the story of 32 year-old school teacher, Hannah Upp who was visiting St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands when she up and vanished during a trip to the beach.
However, what makes this case even stranger is that this isn’t the first time Hannah’s gone missing. Thanks to a condition called ‘dissociative fugue’ which causes a loss of sense of time, space and identity, Hannah has twice before been lost and found.
