5,468 days was the wait for England to secure their first Ashes Test win down under since taking the urn home from their successful 2010/11 series. Another Test wrapped up in two days on what has been deemed an 'unsatisfactory' surface by the ICC, but it moves the scorecard to 3-1 and avoids England's fourth whitewash on the bounce. We talk about all things Melbourne as well as looking ahead to Sydney where England will be pushing hard for a 3-2 result but Australia will be rueing some mistakes and have the bit between their teeth to secure a 4-1.
There is no denying that England started making strides in the right direction for the third Test, but it was too little too late as Australia's relentless consistency took the series 3-0.
England are 2-0 down with just three Tests to go in the 2025/26 Ashes series, and they're going to need to dig deep and come out as a completely different team if they want any hope of taking the fight back to Australia. Listen as we discuss the first two Tests, England's biggest weakness and prepare for first ball in Adelaide.
Catch up with everything that has been going on in world cricket, from Pat Cummin's Ashes concerns and the Sheffield Shield's first injury sub, to the World Test Championship, 2026 T20 World Cup qualification and the latest from the Women's Cricket World Cup.
It's back to talking about a cricket world cup here at Round The Stumps! After each team has played three of their group games, we take a look at the performances so far, who looks like they could be the favourite and who is in danger of not making a top four qualification spot.
