hello Jay Thank you for highlighting occupational therapy. I work closely speech/language pathologists. I help people feed themselves; they help people swallow. But it's different with individuals without cognitive deficit. They often get angry at themselves for not being able to do it. My reply? I read the room and Take your time I don't have a plane to catch not this week anyway. It usually allows them to calm enough to follow my appropriate directions with the intricate arm hand. Jay I'm not surprised you were accepted. As a firefighter, you are an athlete. For my young blue collars I treat them as such if appropriate and do my everything to get them to Touro. Sometimes I don't make friends but other times I meet passionate people who I want by my side. I call it polite persistence. Thank you for sharing.
