Have you ever been really scared to do something and once you did it you felt empowered and eager to do it again?
When we purposely step outside our comfort zone we get stronger and more confident almost every time. Why is this? When we decide we can handle whatever comes our way we become unstoppable.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Figure out how you handle being uncomfortable and learn to manage your mind and your actions around your response to it. The more you work on this part of your life, the faster you will begin changing your self-esteem and build the best you possible.
Yes, you must be willing to set goals, do the work to achieve them, and do whatever it takes. However, if you are not practiced at being uncomfortable you won't be willing to stretch yourself to higher stakes. If you maintain comfort all the time, you will get comfortable results.
Want the BIG, results. Be willing to do the uncomfortable thing. Make the uncomfortable ask. Make the uncomfortable pitch. Be the uncomfortable challenger. Be the first to pave a path.
Your key to confidence is learning, practicing, and managing yourself around comfort!
Go out this week and do one or two things you are not comfortable doing. How do you feel? How did your body react? What is your brain saying to you?
What did you learn from the experience? You can learn until you try. You won't try if you aren't willing to face your fear and do it anyway! Go be uncomfortable!

There are times we are paralyzed by fear or scared to make the next move. What do you do when this happens? How can you move past your fear?
So often we are waiting for everything to be perfect, aligned in all ways, or have all the answers before we start. The only problem with this is you often won’t find perfect, alignment or answers without action.

seeking external validation
Letting other people dictate our emotions
Neglecting personal boundaries
Allowing negative influences to control your reactions
Apologizing at inappropriate times

Delaying or procrastinating decisions
Having limiting beliefs about yourself
Overexplaining – no is a complete sentence
Attempting to control others (I want to be able to do this too but it’s simply not possible)
Not giving 100% or diluting your energy and focus
Avoiding difficult tasks or situations

Have you experienced a heartbreak?
Whether it's loss of a loved one, divorce, a health crisis, or losing you home it can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Maybe it's something else. Whatever it is there is hope.

In this episode I share 6 things I used to find happiness again after my devastating loss of three children to miscarriage followed up by a double cancer diagnoses. I can't say it was easy. Have you ever allowed what someone says about you influence what you think about yourself? Do you believe you have less worth or more worth based on what other people say about you?
We cannot outsource our thoughts about ourself to someone else. It just doesn't work. The second problem with this is that when you outsource what you believe about you, you never will find peace.
Other people have different life expectations and they have different experiences that influence how they interpret their world and you in the world they're in. So outsourcing your opinion of yourself to what other people think about you can be confusing and cause us to feel insecure or doubt our own abilities.
On the other hand, when you take responsibility for the thoughts that you have, the feelings you have about yourself and about the world around you, you ultimately take responsibility by taking and managing your thoughts and managing your feelings, you get to manage the result in your life and how you feel.
Your self-esteem will not be dependent on how others react to you or what someone else thinks about you. Then you also stop fearing what other people think as much because you realize, oh, I'll be okay. Even if someone thinks something bad about me, it's okay. They are allowed to have their opinions. They may keep those opinions indefinitely, and they may change those opinions over time as they watch you grow.
When you begin creating more belief in yourself and your confidence grows, then you grow.
I've learned to let go of what other people think of me, and I can help you do that too.
I help people uncover doubts that they've developed, that prevent them from truly connecting to other people.
I have helped kids as young as 12 years old, and there are women in their seventies that I've helped peel back layers and layers of walls that they've built over the years. I can tell you no matter. How many layers you have or how much in your head that you're stuck with, you can do it.
You can become a more confident version of yourself.
You can let go of what your mom or your dad have said about you or believe about you, or what you believe they believe about you. You can finally forgive a friend for what they did or said or how they hurt you and.
If you're listening to this and you are someone who outsources your belief in yourself and your value to other people, you need to hop on a call with me. The longer you wait, the more problems that you'll have and the longer you will struggle With this.
I want to help you have less frustration and struggle with your relationships. Open yourself up to having deeper connection and not being scared of connection due to things that have happened, or people have things that people have said in your past. There is a way that you can live in this life without doing that outsourcing of your value.

Have you experienced a life changing event? An event that left you feeling overwhelmed, helpless, and less confident in your abilities to handle life?

Life is uncertain and in different seasons we are left without a clear direction. When you don't have a clear direction and you want to crawl in bed and cry. Give yourself permission to take each day slowly and focus on getting small things done. Each time you finish even the smallest task your confidence will grow.
Be patient, listen to this episode a few times and take note. I have been there many times and I love sharing what has helped me come out more confident, self reliant, and filled with joy. By the way, you can feel joy even in the storm!

When we think of having a better mindset we might think in terms of always being positive. There is a little more to a growth mindset and deciding if you need a mindset reset is important.
First step to improving your mindset and gaining more confidence is to become aware of what your current thoughts and beliefs are. Sometimes these are holding you back. We have so many thoughts a day and we don't think about what we think about.
If mindset was simply being able to write down affirmations on a post it, affixing it to your bathroom mirror, and reading it over and over while brushing your teeth we would all be rich, famous, and in the best health of our lives. It's not that simple.
You have to believe what you are telling yourself. The mindset you adopt has to be believable to you. If you want better relationships, a higher paying job, or a fantastically fit body it requires a mindset of success.
A mindset shift happens when you take the time to identify what mindset you want. At times, it will take changing the way you interact with the world. If you complain it will require you to rewire your brain to stop complaining as much. If you think life is always a struggle it will require you imagine a world that isn't a struggle.
Mindset requires curiosity and you may need to enlist some help along the way. Listen to this episode for some mindset tricks, tips, and shifts that will help you live a life happier and healthier than ever.

Wanting to be perfect on the surface feels justified. It feels like a great thing to strive for perfection. What if there is another side to the story?
In this episode we explore how perfectionism may be hindering your progress, keeping you from joy, and preventing you from making decisions in an efficient manner. When we overthink, research without ultimately making decisions, and constantly use a false or fake reality to create our definition of perfect things can get way out of control.
There are compelling reasons it's productive and recommended to let go of perfection and embrace being more aware of how perfectionism is impacting your life.

There's this little voice in our heads that says things like;
you aren't good enough?
who are you to want to do that?
what's make you qualified to be here?
who do you think you are?"
Have you ever had thoughts like this? You are certainly not alone!
I watched a tennis match lately that was a bold example of someone imploding due to their self doubt and critical mental chatter. It's easy to let this happen. It happens more often than we know.
If we want to break free of the doubts and insecurities we have about our abilities and capabilities we have to do some work. Get really curious about why and what we think. What is preventing us from moving forward?
Is your brain manipulating your dreams? Is is keeping you from working toward a big dream you have to lose weight, leave a relationship, or apply for a better job.
Have you spent the time to really ponder what's holding you back? The most empowering thing to do is to take your thoughts captive and work on the doubts, insecurities, resistance, and triggers that are preventing you from being your best you!
It makes life so much easier, more peaceful, and joyful when you are aware of what's tripping you up and keeping you from reaching your goals, being your best you, and going for your dreams. Don't let your current comfort prevent your future accomplishments.

Comfort is one of the worst addictions we can have. Doing the same things over and over makes us complacent. It keeps us from being tested or stretching ourselves.
How does being uncomfortable help us become stronger, better versions of ourselves?
This episode is a glimpse into how you can use being uncomfortable to increase your confidence, become more resilient, and be a better version of you.
Do you want to a better relationship? Have you been wishing for a higher paying job? Has you goal been to become more fit or lose weight?
All of these things depend on one thing. You ability to endure and choose being uncomfortable.
You can't have a fantastic relationship without challenging yourself to be more present and give more to the person you want to have a better relationship with.
If you want a better job, you must be willing to learn new skills and elevate your ability to do the new job.
When you want to loose weight or become more fit, you have to decide you will make better choices that are very often uncomfortable. Less cake, cookie, and sugar filled coffee and more greens. Maybe you have to park your car further away so you walk more. You might even have to walk to the farmers market instead of drive!
When you choose to be uncomfortable for future gain you will become a more confident version of yourself. You realize how much more you are capable of and you will become better and better at doing what other people aren't willing to do.

No one talks about how much it matters to get things done you say you are going to get done. When we delay, avoid, or choose to leave things undone it call slowly kill our confidence. What's worse is how it can impact how much confidence others have in us.
Today's episode I share one simple process I use when I am feeling a little off my confidence game. How I go about raising my confidence quickly and at the same time get things done.
Think about something you have wanted to do for a long time but you keep putting it off. How much mental and physical energy is it taking up simply because you haven't done it? Do you realize your brain can invent beliefs based on what you are NOT doing as much as what you ARE doing? When you don't do what you say you are going to do or what you want to do, you brain begins to believe you are a person who isn't reliable.
Over time, you can build a lack of trust in yourself. That's not productive for your self worth or personal belief systems.
One really quick way to bring up your confidence is to get things done! What's not getting done? Write it down and then DO it! Do it as soon as possible and you will see and feel your confidence increase immediately. You will have a sense of accomplishment and you will raise your belief in yourself. The gap between feeling confident and feeling low self worth can literally be impacted by your to do list.
Make your list, complete what is on your list, and see your confidence soar!

Have you ever wanted to do something new but decided you couldn't because you had never done it? Do you let your lack of knowledge stop you from trying something BIG or NEW?
Listen to this episode to help you use five simple steps that are proven to help you master doing new things even when you don't have the experience you think you have to have.
Decide your are going to do it and write it down in an affirmative, current statement.
Research what it takes to make it happen. Make your best guess on skills, resources, and connections it will take.
Review and brainstorm to identify mentors, courses, skill building you will need to do it.
Organize your plan based on actions you must take to make it happen and add to your calendar.
Set yourself up for success by addressing your D.I.R.T. (Doubts, Insecurities, Resistance, and Triggers) ahead of time.
You can do anything you put your mind to. Most of our lives is simply rehearsal for something coming in our future. Think about all your firsts. The first time you walked, talked, drove, got a job, held someone's hand, feel in love, or interviewed. What do all of them have in common? They were all something you had never done before until one specific moment in time. All those moments build on one another.
What do you want to do that you have never done before? Use the 5 steps above and make it happen!
