Zach is back from paternity leave and didn’t prepare for the episode! Nick and Zach break down the 2023 Steelers’ season and discuss the highs and lows. Just as the guys started to record, the Pirates shocked the world and signed Aroldis Chapman.
Nick is joined by special guest host Ryan Provolt leading up to the Bills v.s. Steelers playoff game. We discuss the keys to the game, unique postponement, and playoff memories from the past. The Pens have been more competitive lately, but have been getting points in OT and not wins while 36 year-old captain Sidney Crosby is playing at an MVP level. We also recap Pirates Fest 2024 and what a major let down it was, and talk about the current state of the Pittsburgh Pirates in comparison to the 2013-2015 playoff teams. In closing, we talk about the expectations of the Pitt Men’s Basketball team after their current stretch of games against UNC, Louisville, and Duke.
Zach is on paternity leave so Nick is joined by guest hosts Noah Fleming and Andrew Goldstein postgame of the Steelers win over the Seahawks on New Years Eve. The guys also live react to the Penguins vs. Islanders game. They also get into Pitt Basketball and Football, and Noah reminisces about his interaction with FSU fans at Acrisure Stadium this past season. We end the episode with our expectations and excitement for Pirates Fest 2024!
