Sorry for the wait! To make up for it, this episode is pretty long and contains even more guys that previous ones! We discuss Pikachu and its understudies, each with their own appeal and vibe that is explored in different ways -- plus, a special guest!
Sorry for the delay! Getting a new job meant it was harder for me to make time to edit this episode, especially since it's a long one! We discuss the story of Scarlet and Violet at length in the latter third or so, and there's a lot to discuss. Play Scarlet and Violet! They're great!
In this episode, Luv's audio is terrible because she appears to have forgotten to make sure which microphone she was using, but the gang manages to stay remarkably on topic until near the end, so that's good at least. Only one generation of starters left! What shall our gang do next, I wonder...
This episode is a week late for absolutely no reason other than everyone just got extremely distracted. Also, in this episode we talk a ton about Alola but not as much about the starters as is possibly ideal for an episode supposedly dedicated to them. There's a lot of things about Alola to discuss, is the thing.
Under an hour this time! We stay almost entirely on topic except when we get all excited about a different franchise near the end. Fun!
Weird audio from Luv this time because of a technical issue we missed, will be fixed in the next one. Shockingly, we mostly don't talk about stuff that isn't Pokemon this time, though we do wander away from the starters a bit near the end.
PSA: we discuss Chuggaaconroy a bit in this episode in a positive manner, because this was recorded on January 14th, a while before the news about him came out. Take care of yourselves, and don't listen if you're in a bad headspace about that whole situation. This episode is a bit all over the place in general, but that's our brand at this point, so hopefully it's not actually that big of a deal.
In which we arguably talk more about Digimon than our topic, because the Hoenn starters are all so solid and generally respected it's hard to say new things about them.
We move on to Johto! Lots of strong opinions and tangents in this episode.
