*Trigger warning: This episode includes discussion of suicide and grief*In this deeply moving episode of Do Your Thing, I’m joined by Esther Marshall, founder of Sophie Says - a children’s wellbeing brand helping children build confidence, resilience, and emotional understanding from an early age.Inspired by the tragic loss of her sister Rebecca, who died by suicide after working as a junior doctor during COVID, Esther left her corporate role to bring their shared dream to life. What began during night feeds on maternity leave - writing children’s books about emotions and mental health - has grown into a movement that has now reached over 200,000 children across the UK.In this episode, we explore what it means to find light after loss, and how grief has profoundly reshaped Esther's sense of purpose and relentless drive to 'Do Her Thing' - especially in motherhood. In this moving episode, we talked about:Finding purpose and meaning after lossCarrying grief alongside raising kidsWhy emotional literacy matters for children and adultsCreating emotional safety at homeLetting go of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the pressure to be likedTurning pain into impact and legacyEsther shares honestly about grief, resilience, and how Sophie Says has become both a source of healing and a way to equip the next generation with the tools so many of us never received.A tender, hopeful conversation about loss, love, and raising emotionally resilient children AND parents.MORE ABOUT ESTHER & SOPHIE SAYS:Visit the Sophie Says website and buy Esther's books HERE (Use code WELCOME10 for a 10% discount at checkout)Follow Esther on Instagram HERE (Sophie Says) and HERE (The Grieving Founder)MORE ABOUT TAMSIN, YOUR PODCAST HOST:•Find out about The Springboard Sessions HERE and book your session HERE (Book in by the end of January to get a bonus personalised guided visualisation audio to keep you connected to your 2026 vision)•Follow me on Instagram HERE•Visit my website and find out about how to work with me HERE•Book a FREE 30-minute discovery call to explore working together HERE Hosted on Acast. During this episode I’m joined by the brilliant Victoria Smith-Murphy - an executive coach, tarot educator, and leadership mentor who weaves together the corporate and the sacred. At the heart of Victoria’s work lies helping people reconnect with their intuition - that deep inner knowing so many of us override, second-guess, or forget how to hear.During this conversation we explore what intuition really is, why it matters & how learning to trust it can expand your life in the most unexpected ways.Victoria shares her deeply personal journey - from navigating early menopause to becoming a mum through her sister’s egg donation - and how each step has taught her to surrender, trust, and listen inward. We also dive into the world of Tarot - exploring how it can be used as a tool for reflection, perspective-shifting, and guidance.Victoria even does a live Tarot reading with me, which offered some pretty powerful insights! This conversation is full of wisdom, grounded spirituality, and gentle reminders that you already have the answers you’re seeking inside you - if only you create the space to listen.Podcast References: Tarot cards used during live demo were drawn from The Light Seer's Tarot deckVisuals linked below to the specific cards discussed:The King of CupsThe Five of Cups More About Victoria: Victoria has three separate businesses:VSM Executive Coaching (or HERE on Instagram)A Tarot education business called Tarot & Transformation (or HERE on Instagram)A leadership development collective called Leading DeeplySign up to Victoria's newsletter HEREAbout Your Podcast Host, Tamsin Williamson: Find out how to work with me HEREBook a FREE 30-min discovery call with me HEREFollow me on Instagram HEREDownload my FREE guide: CLAIM YOUR COMEBACK - 20 simple but powerful hacks to go from 'Meh!' to 'Mojo!' after kids Hosted on Acast. Let's celebrate 50 episodes of the pod! 🎉In this milestone solo episode, I reflect on what it really takes to create something that matters...and keep going, even when it feels messy, imperfect or unclear. When I pressed record on episode 1 of this podcast back in December 2023, I had no idea where this journey would take me.What I did know was that I wanted to create a space for honest, inspiring conversations with women who are living life on their terms - and in turn, empower YOU to believe that your dreams, ideas and voice matter deeply, even alongside raising kids.So now I'm using this solo milestone episode to reflect on what these 50 episodes have taught me, and how they have shaped me as a whole person including:>> The courage it takes to begin (and why fear isn’t a stop sign)>> Why alignment + integrity matter more than perfection>> How small, imperfect steps build momentum and confidenceIf you’ve been sitting on an idea, dream or spark, this is your reminder: you don’t need the full plan, you just need the courage to begin and grant yourself the permission to believe it’s possible for you. And if you’re ready to start doing your thing with clarity, courage and conviction, I’d love to support you inside The Gateway - my signature 1:1 coaching and mentorship programme for mums ready to step into their next chapter while raising their kids. What does it really mean to feel free in motherhood? In this powerful conversation, I’m joined by the brilliant Annie Breen - Speaker, Transformational Life Coach, Holistic Therapist, and co-founder of The Galloping Gut Hut.Annie is passionate about helping people break free from mediocrity and the “shoulds” of society so they can live a liberated life aligned with who they truly are.Motherhood was the catalyst for Annie’s own breaking free. After navigating overwhelm, an ADHD diagnosis, and the pressures of doing life in a way that didn’t fit her, Annie and her family chose a different path - one rooted in freedom, authenticity, and alignment with their values. In this episode, Annie shares her journey and wisdom around:The courage it takes to break the rules and choose your own values insteadBuilding a life web that’s interconnected, evolving, and rooted in what matters mostCreating anchor points in daily life to stay grounded amidst the juggleWhy authenticity and energy are at the heart of true liberationCycle breaking, legacy, and modelling new possibilities for our childrenHow freedom in motherhood doesn’t mean detaching from family - but finding safe harbours that allow you to thriveWe also explore the messy, human parts of this process: learning to trust the unknown, finding the right people to support you, and redefining what it means to be a mother beyond society’s narrow mould. If you’ve ever felt like motherhood has shrunk your world, Annie’s story is a reminder that it can also be the gateway to expansion, freedom, and living life on your own terms.PODCAST REFERENCES: Dr Naomi Fisher - https://naomifisher.co.uk/Exhale Coffee - https://exhalecoffee.com/MORE ABOUT ANNIE: Follow Annie on Instagram HERE and The Galloping Gut Hut HEREVisit Annie's website and find out about her work HEREMORE ABOUT TAMSIN, YOUR PODCAST HOST: More info about The Gateway HERE: my 1:1 coaching & mentorship programme for Mums (DOORS NOW OPEN!)Book a FREE 30-minute discovery call to explore working together HEREFollow me on Instagram HEREVisit my website HEREDownload my FREE guide: CLAIM YOUR COMEBACK - 20 simple but powerful hacks to go from 'Meh!' to 'Mojo!' after kids Hosted on Acast. What if raising your kids didn’t mean following the rules - but rewriting them altogether? In this episode of Do Your Thing, I’m joined by the brilliantly honest and refreshingly down-to-earth Fiona Sim: a home-educating mum, Certified Business Strategist and freedom-seeker who’s created a life and career shaped by values and instincts, not expectations.Fiona lives in the Scottish Borders with her husband and two daughters. After spending 15 years trying on different jobs and directions, it wasn’t until motherhood that she truly found her path - which included the decision to Home Educate her kids. Fiona shares her inspiring story of consciously stepping away from the conventional path, from years of trying to “figure it all out” to building a lifestyle that blends parenting, learning, travel and self-trust.During this conversation we explore:Why Fiona chose to home educate her children - and what that actually looks like in real lifeHow home education has become a natural, blended part of their everyday lifeThe role of freedom in her parenting journey - and how her perspective shifted after becoming a mumThe balance between supporting her children’s autonomy and making space for herselfThe reality of trial and error, learning to get it wrong, and offering yourself compassion in the processFiona also shares some invaluable widsom around what to consider if you’re curious about home education, and how to start exploring what might work for your family. What if joy wasn’t something you had to earn? And what if the reason it feels so far away isn’t because you’re doing it wrong - but because your body doesn’t feel safe enough to receive it?In this powerful episode, I’m joined by Danielle Brooker - Motherhood Joy Coach, speaker, and mentor - who helps Mums break free from exhaustion, ditch the pressure to ‘do it right,’ and expand their capacity for joy without self-sacrifice.Danielle offers a radical reframe: that true, sustainable joy isn’t found in more bubble baths or 'perfect' to-do lists. It’s found in the body, when our nervous system feels safe enough to soften.Together, we explore:Why so many mothers feel stuck in survival modeHow nervous system regulation is the missing link in accessing lasting joyWhy “just think positive” culture can leave women feeling unseen and unsupportedDanielle’s personal story of burnout and what it really means to “do your thing” in alignment with joyPractical, embodied ways to begin reconnecting with joy - even amidst the chaos of MotherhoodWe also talk about Danielle’s free online retreat happening from 20–23 May 2025 -  Mama Joy Ignite - a soulful, spacious event for big-hearted, ambitious mothers ready to reconnect with themselves, break free of the mess, and ignite their joy.Along with 18+ other inspiring experts I’m honoured to be a speaker at this retreat too - leading a juicy, soul-deep conversation and visualisation to help you lighten the maternal mental load.🎟️ Click here to grab your FREE ticket to Mama Joy IgnitePODCAST REFERENCES: Freedom From Busy by Danielle Brooker The 6 Human Needs - Tony Robbins TED TalkMaslow's Hierarchy of NeedsFIND OUT ABOUT DANIELLE BROOKER: Visit Danielle's website HEREFollow Danielle on Instagram HEREEmail Danielle on danielle@daniellebrooker.com to discuss anything that resonated from this episode!ABOUT YOUR PODCAST HOST, TAMSIN WILLIAMSON (THE PARENTHOOD COACH): Find out how to work with me HEREBook a FREE 30-min discovery call with me HEREFollow me on Instagram HERE Hosted on Acast. In this week’s powerful episode of Do Your Thing I’m joined by my friend, fellow coach, and Mama Rising™ Facilitator Katrina Court, for a deeply honest and validating conversation about the one word that helped her reclaim herself after becoming a mother: Matrescence.Matrescence is the often-ignored, yet transformational shift that occurs as we journey from woman to mother. And yet, most of us have never even heard the word.Released during Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, this episode shines a light on why Motherhood can feel so overwhelming and discombobulating, and why understanding matrescence could be the missing piece in making sense of it all.During this conversation, Katrina and I explore:Her raw and relatable early Motherhood experience - and the identity crisis that followedThe pressure to “bounce back” and how discovering matrescence freed her from thatWhat matrescence actually is, how long it can last, and why it affects every mumWhy recognising this transition is essential for self-compassion and mental wellbeingHow it’s changed the way she "does her thing" in her personal and professional lifeThe first steps she recommends for any Mums feeling lost in the thick of matrescenceThis conversation is a must-listen for any mother who has ever thought “Why is this so hard?” - and is ready to feel seen, heard, and supported 💛FIND OUT MORE ABOUT KATRINA:>> Follow Katrina on Instagram HERE>> Visit Katrina's website HEREABOUT YOUR PODCAST HOST, TAMSIN WILLIAMSON:>> Find out about my new 90-minute coaching experience - The Springboard Sessions - for Mums looking to shift from 'freeze' to 'freedom'>> Book a FREE 30-min discovery call with me HERE>> Follow me on Instagram HERE>> Download my FREE guide: CLAIM YOUR COMEBACK - 20 simple but powerful hacks to go from 'Meh!' to 'Mojo!' after kids Hosted on Acast. This week I’m sharing an inspiring chat I had with Sarah Clarke (aka The Happy Startup Coach) about the power of connecting with our sense of purpose.Sarah, is a business mentor, leadership coach, optimist and mother of 2 who stands by the philosophy that there is no 'right way' to grow your business, only the 'right way' for you. And through her work she helps kind-hearted but ambitious coaches package up their purpose and magic and attract more 'ready-to-grow' clients with a scalable signature programme that actually sells. Discovering our purpose can feel like a big, overwhelming task - especially when we also have so much Motherhood stuff on our plates vying for our attention! But during this convo Sarah manages to de-mystify and diffuse the stickiness that can accompany the topic in a way that feels down to earth, reassuing and exciting.During this episode Sarah shares:>> How she transitioned from working in corporate to starting her own business and how her subsequent life choices have been led by her strong and evolving sense of purpose. >> How it is possible to release the pressure that can often accompany the ‘what is my purpose’ question>> Some accessible and clarifying stepping stones to strengthen our connection to our WHY so we can 'do our thing' personally, professionally and as a MumIf this episode laves you feeling fired up to get your purpose clarified then you may want to check out:>> Sarah’s free ‘Fruitful Founder Mindmap’ HERE>> My ‘Live Your Life On Purpose’ workshop HEREPODCAST REFERENCES: >> Finding Your Purpose At Work - Dan Cable on The Squiggly Careers Podcast (LISTEN HERE)FIND OUT MORE ABOUT SARAH CLARKE:>> Follow Sarah's on Instagram HERE and LinkedIn HERE>> Visit Sarah's website and find out how to work with her HERE (including how to join the next cohort of her Fruitful Founder programme)ABOUT YOUR PODCAST HOST, TAMSIN WILLIAMSON:>> Find out how to work with me HERE>> Book a FREE 30-min discovery call with me HERE>> Follow me on Instagram HERE>> Download my FREE guide: CLAIM YOUR COMEBACK - 20 simple but powerful hacks to go from 'Meh!' to 'Mojo!' after kids Hosted on Acast. This week I’m sharing an AMAZING chat with Zoe Duce all about how to maintain meaningful relationships in Motherhood.  Zoe is a connection expert who runs a business called MoveThru helping mums rebuild their friendships, romantic relationships, and social lives after having children. She understands the loneliness and disconnect that can accompany motherhood and offers practical tools to revive meaningful relationships. It’s no secret that Motherhood can shake up our relationships big time - mainly because our relationship with OURSELVES goes through such a significant transition, causing an inevitable ripple effect on our wider circles and dynamics. However, rather than surrendering to the social challenges Motherhood can throw at us, Zoe passionately champions an alternative approach - one where we get to honour our most important relationships WHILE also honouring ourselves as Mothers. YUP - it doesn’t have to be a choice! This conversation is packed full of gold, where Zoe shares all sorts including: The challenging impact that Motherhood had on her social life and relationship - and how she navigated her way throughThe reasons we can find it so difficult to invest time in our relationships alongside raising our kidsWhy it is SO important to maintain meaningful relationships as a MumSome answers to the million dollar question: How do we do it???? I have a feeling that Zoe’s words will help so many of you feel both very seen in your reality as a Mum, but also energised and hopeful that there IS absolutely another way. FIND OUT MORE ABOUT ZOE DUCE:- Follow Zoe on Instagram HERE and LinkedIn HERE- Visit Zoe's website and find out how to work with her HERE- FREE Masterclass: Get At Least ONE Social Outing Per Month HERE- Join Zoe's FREE WhatsApp community, MoveThru Mums HEREABOUT YOUR PODCAST HOST, TAMSIN WILLIAMSON:- Find out how to work with me HERE- Book a FREE 30-minute discovery call to explore working together HERE- Follow me on Instagram HERE- Join my email community - The Parenthood Retreat - HERE and receive a FREE mindfulness audio Hosted on Acast. This week I’m chatting with Cat Googe about…JOY! And how she has learnt to unapologetically and seamlessly weave joy into her experience of life, business and motherhood as well as into the lives of so many others who have come into her orbit (myself included!)Cat - who calls herself The Joy Queen - is super passionate about teaching people how to intentionally bring joy into our everyday instead of waiting for it to happen to us - and she loves to facilitate this through her unique blend of laughter yoga, reiki and NLP through 1-2-1 work, in her membership The Inner Joy Circle as well at events and festivals.Joy is something that so many women I work with feel a disconnect with, especially since having kids when overwhelm, exhaustion and a fractured sense of self can have a tendency to take over. But doing life without the presence of true and authentic joy for ourselves can make the journey of raising kids feel pretty deflating and and during this conversation I explore with Cat how we can learn to reclaim our joy EVEN when life feels heavy and full, and reframe our joy into something we can all access every day of our lives. During this episode Car shares: How challenges in her earlier life heavily influenced her own joy journeyHow her re-education and re-learning around her relationship with joy has impacted the trajectory of her lifeAnd she imparts invaluable wisdom about how to re-frame and re-connect with YOUR own sense of joyFIND OUT MORE ABOUT CAT GOOGE:- Follow Cat on Instagram HERE and Facebook HERE- Visit Cat's website to find out about her work HERE- Download Cat's free guide: Five Juicy Joy Hacks HERE- Join Cat's membership, The Inner Joy Circle HEREABOUT ME! Most Mums I speak to know the feeling of the 'Invisible Maternal Load' all too well - and yet often they feel the weight of it before they truly understand what it is. At times, it can feel utterly inescapable for us as Mums where we feel so weighed down by the never-ending ticker tape of mental, emotional and domestic responsibilities we're wading through, day in day out. A load that they often feel nobody else in the family truly understands, recognises or appreciates. But while feeling utterly overwhelmed by all of the to-dos and needs whirling round our heads - we can also simultaneously resign ourselves to believing that this is just how Motherhood is. Subsequently leaving us feeling EVEN more frustrated, unfulfilled, stuck - and even resentful - which isn't ever going to be any good for anyone. BUT HERE'S THE THING: that belief you're holding onto is BULLSH*T and there is 100% another way! And I want you to know that it is absolutely possible for us to break free from the draining, disempowering shackles of this invisible maternal load - and feel a whole lot lighter, more liberated and empowered in ourselves and how we show up in our daily lives. But first we need to understand the often unspoken intricacies of this 'invisible maternal load' phenomenon so we can tackle it head on! And during this episode I hope to help enlighten you on this topic, so you can start making those important first moves to lightening that load for yourself. During this episode I explain: - What the 'Invisible Maternal Load' is - The often unspoken reasons WHY so many Mums are affected by it  - A fresh perspective to adopt around the your relationship with the 'Invisible Maternal Load'- How to start breaking free from it's power, and do things differentlyPODCAST REFERENCESFor more information about Eve Rodsky's Fair Play Method click HEREABOUT ME! In this new episode I chat with Emma Benyon about how Motherhood invited her to re-define what self-care looked and felt like for her - in a way that subsequently supported her to unapologetically 'do her thing' across all parts of her life. Emma is a Business Coach for busy mums, a Self Care Expert and Educator supporting mums who are juggling the school run and growing a business. And through her work she provides women with the tools to build their business their way minus the guilt and burnout - so they can do motherhood and business with ease, flexibility and simplicity. There are so many synergies in the work Emma and I do - so this conversation represented a beautiful meeting of aligned minds, FULL of juicy insights and discussion around the topic of self-care for Mums. The term ‘self-care’ is banded around a huge amount these days and it can mean many different things to each and every one of us. And during this conversation I loved hearing Emma’s unique perspective on self care which she has applied to her own day to day life, walking the walk to ensure that her version of self-care sits at the heart of everything she does. PLUS she uses her expertise and experience to support mums to take care of themselves and prioritise their own needs as both individuals and business owners. FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EMMA BENYON:- Follow Emma on Instagram HERE and Facebook HERE- Visit Emma's website HERE- Download Emma's free 'Business Health Check Guide' which you get by signing up to her newsletter HERE- Listen to Emma's podcast, Self Care & Motherhood Edit HEREABOUT ME!
