In this week’s solo episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I’m chatting to you all about the power of intention words. Every year I choose one word to guide me- a theme, a feeling, or a vibe that I want to bring into all areas of my life. For me, this has always felt more powerful (and far more enjoyable!) than traditional New Year’s resolutions. Instead of rules and pressure, it becomes an invitation to embody something meaningful each month, all year long.
In this episode, I share:
The intention word I chose for 2025
Why I picked it and how I hoped it would shape my year
Whether I feel I met or embodied that intention
What I’m considering for my 2026 intention word
The value of also having a summary word
What my summary word is and why it matters
A summary word is different from an intention word, it’s a word that reflects the year you’ve just experienced or even the last few months. It captures how life has felt and what you want to carry forward into the next chapter. It may not be the focus for the new year, but it’s a feeling or vibe that still deserves space as you move forward.
If you’re looking for a gentle but powerful ritual to set the tone for your year, this episode will inspire you to choose your own intention word and summary word, and help you bring more purpose, presence, and alignment into your daily life.
I also chat about the Fusion by Danielle Collins skincare line, which beautifully complements a mindful self-care routine. You can explore and shop the full collection at https://shop.faceyogaexpert.com
In this week’s solo episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I speak openly and honestly about how I used to feel completely depleted, exhausted and stressed in the winter, particularly in December and the lead up to Christmas. For many years this time of year left me burnt out and struggling to look after my wellness.
Then in December 2022, something significant happened that completely changed the way I approach winter and Christmas. It helped me transform how I support my wellbeing, my routine, and my self-care through a season that once felt overwhelming.
In this episode, I share:
What winters used to feel like for me and why December was so draining
What happened in 2022 that shifted everything
The key changes I made that helped me stop feeling exhausted
How I now approach winter with more balance and ease
Practical ways you can apply these tools and mindset shifts to your everyday life
If you often reach December feeling tired, overwhelmed or stretched too thin, this episode will offer comfort, insight, and simple changes that make a big difference.

In this short solo episode, I’m sharing three easy and practical ways you can bring mindfulness into your day, without adding anything extra to your schedule. You don’t have to do more; you simply need to focus more on the present moment. These simple techniques take just a few minutes each day and can completely shift how you feel, bringing more calm, clarity, and connection into your life.
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and aware of what you’re doing and feeling, without distraction or judgment. It helps you tune into your body, your breath, and your surroundings so that you can respond to life from a place of peace rather than stress or autopilot.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Three quick mindfulness practices you can start using today
How to integrate mindfulness into your busy routine
The mindset shift that makes being present feel effortless
How I personally bring mindfulness into my own life each day
These tips are designed to fit seamlessly into your routine, whether you’re doing your Face Yoga, making a cup of tea, or taking a short walk. By using these tools, you’ll start to feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to yourself, even on the busiest days.

In this week’s episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I’m sharing 13 powerful and surprising lessons I learned during my seven-day yoga retreat in Turkey last month.
This retreat was so much more than yoga, it became a deep journey of self-reflection, surrender, and transformation. Whether you’ve been on a retreat before or you’re dreaming of one, these lessons will inspire you to live with more peace, resilience, and self-compassion every day.
Here are some of the key insights I share in this episode:
The way I care for myself in the next six years will determine how the next fifty unfold (especially if I want to live to 100).
I have a choice in how I see every situation, positive or negative.
Strength training will serve me well in my forties and beyond.
I am more resilient than I think.
Surrender brings peace in every situation.
When faced with uncomfortable feelings, sit with them for a few minutes, then change your environment to let them pass.
I can learn so much from others,I love being a student as much as a teacher.
Always treat people the way you want to be treated.
The closer food is to nature, the better it is for my body.
If reality doesn’t match expectations, change your expectations to find joy in the present.
Positive people attract positive people.
To find creativity, I must find space.
Nothing in life stays the same forever.
These reflections reminded me how deeply connected self-care, mindset, and wellness truly are, and how Face Yoga is not only about our faces but about the way we live and feel each day.

This short solo episode is designed to be practical, repeatable, and deeply calming. It’s something you can listen to or watch again and again whenever you need to slow down, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
I’ll guide you through simple breathing exercises to:
Calm your nervous system
Settle your mind and feel more present
Release stress and tension from your body
Soften your face so it looks and feels more relaxed, healthy, and radiant
Then we move into healing words and affirmations. With each in-breath, we focus on the intentions and qualities we want to welcome in. With each out-breath, we gently let go of what no longer serves us. Finally, we repeat affirmations three times together to anchor them fully into our body, mind, and face.
You can do this practice lying down, sitting comfortably, or even while walking or driving (as long as it’s safe to do so). It’s like having a short guided meditation and breathwork session that you can return to anytime you need it.

How the Chinese New Year of the Snake and Libra energy encourage balance and release
Why the full moon and even our menstrual cycle can be powerful times to let go
Simple tips to help you be more present in daily life
Techniques for feeling lighter, more joyful, and more at peace with situations beyond your control
If you’ve been craving more balance, flow, and ease, this episode will give you both inspiration and practical tools to help you feel more aligned.

In this week’s solo episode of The Face Yoga Expert Podcast, I’m sharing four simple but powerful ways to adapt your Face Yoga in Autumn/Fall so you can look and feel your very best.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:
Setting seasonal goals
How to use the change of season as an opportunity for growth, reflection, and setting gentle, achievable goals. I’ll guide you through tips on how to make these goals inspiring and motivating, and share a few personal stories from my own seasonal transitions.
Creating a cosy environment
Why autumn is the perfect time to lean into warmth, softness, and coziness and how making your Face Yoga practice nurturing and comforting can help you stay consistent and really enjoy it.
Hydration inside and out
I’ll share practical ways to keep your skin glowing and hydrated as the weather turns cooler, including what to drink, how to layer hydration topically, and why combining Face Yoga with your skincare routine gives you the best results.
Face Yoga + skincare integration

In this week’s episode, I invite you to join me for a short but powerful seven-minute guided meditation focused entirely on your face, designed to leave your skin feeling smooth, vibrant, and glowing.
We start by tuning into how your face feels right now, boosting the mindfulness and connection with yourself. Then, I’ll guide you through visualising a soothing white healing light as it flows over each key area of your face, encouraging healthy, radiant skin.
You’ll be led to imagine your entire face glowing with vitality and strength, before gently returning your focus to notice how your face feels in this moment- hopefully calm, relaxed, and refreshed!. Along the way, we’ll practice deep breathing exercises to support both your skin and your overall sense of wellbeing.
This meditation is perfect to use regularly, helping your face look naturally healthy and strong while calming your mind and body.
